@@anatolystepanovichdyatlov1747 im ngl it kinda amazes me the more i learn from combat vets (not to say you are one or anything but people with certain credentials say things about combat) and most of it lines up with shit I learned through trial and error of playing on a rust vanilla server solo, playing outside of cover, repositioning, crossing sightlines during day and night its all very complicated and if you are alone its an edge you walk along
@@passthea1369 These are exactly the things you will learn in basic infantry training, never played Rust but I guess its on the same level as most FPS games considered to be in the "tactical shooter genre", so yeah. Applying real maneuvers and tactics to games that are not on the casual side of things, will yield results.
I guess most people simply forget about there being no respawn, so youd might want to be, lets say, more careful.
This is peak FPS sniping. When cod and BF added scope glare, it took out the stealth factor.

@@N0M4D3-75 no it was not added for realism. It was added because a few people cried about to many sniper matches and BF wanted to make the gameplay faster and less realistic.
@@Streeto_161 sniper are just too annoying, being able to spot them quickly helps avoiding them instead of just crying in a building without knowing where are these danm shots are coming from
@@N0M4D3-75 yeah, that’s a big no. 😂 espcially with newer games like cod and 2042 where anything more than a 2x sight has a glare that you can see across maps isn’t even slightly realistic.

Aww the days when sniper scopes weren't spotlights and the best way to find them was to follow the bullets.
Seems like some people think they are the smartest person in every room they enter. In 2042, scope glint is more similar to a spot light than scope glint you only see when looking in the shooters vicinity in previous battlefields. There has always been scope glint in battlefields, but you almost had to be looking for it. In 2042, when you aim down the sights using a mag6x or higher, it is a goddamn spotlight for the entire enemy team to see even if you are barely in view, unless you are 1000km away. HOPE THAT CLARIFIES LOL😂😂

They still had scope glint, as far as I remember. Was it amplified in later games?
@@juanblanco7898 I don’t remember noticing scope glint until a certain update, then it was in every game since then. You could certainly see the muzzle flash and bullet but I don’t remember scope glint back then. Maybe I’m remembering wrong though
@@Aro748 It was the first BF game I got to play in multiplayer, but BF3 had scope glint already. In BF4 there was a reckon gadget that let you spot vehicles and mark them for an instant lock on from guided missiles via laser, which looked like hi tech binoculars. Well, that basically what it was apart from the spotting and targeting functionality, so I used it when sniping to search for targets. I didn't have glint if I remember correctly, so that allowed me to minimize the time of exposure to the enemy.
I think there are periscope spotting binoculars for snipers in BF1/BFV, but they do have glint. You can use them to spot targets from cover, but it's not very useful since you're alerting enemy about your presence and position.

The pain of using an FY-JS in long distance battles. There's only 2-3 other snipers that'd hitmarker a headshot at that range... the Scout Elite and SR338 I think.
I love FY-JS so much, but it drops off to a 2-shot kill at +200m.
@@TheRyman230 I was about to comment that the SR338 wasnt that bad, but I mistook it in my mind for the 338-recon, which was my sniper of choice. I had to look it up to remember which was which, and ya, I remember the SR338 being fairly useless past medium range.
Sniping in battlefield 4 was different, it was like a whole different game with the rest of the match happening around you while you and the same 6 or 7 dudes from the other match duke it out from across the map.
Counter sniper operations were some of the most fun I ever had in Bf4 that and the amount of damage you can do with a well balanced squad
Damn hill shipers giving away my position when camping above AB flags made me get really good at looking at teh hill line for snipers first
It's way more rewarding to know you got a headshot rather than you heard you got a headshot.
Watching someones bullet come in towards you is crazy but if you move you miss the shot

Whats funny is the FYJS can’t one shot headshot at that range, so the other sniper probably took one directly to the dome piece and still kept going

I've done similar, except we actually traded the last 2 shots and headshot eachother, was pretty wicked 😂😂
The 3rd shot is either death or really close in these situations. Also, as a sniper, if you get hit once MOVE they have your location and the next shot coming in hottt
I use the PLD as a rangefinder. Makes it easier.
It's shit that they removed the distance bonus... Just two to three kills were enough to send you straight to the top of the leaderboard

Note the distinct absence of sniper glint. Identifying and countering the sniper actually took about as much skill as it takes them to land a shot. That's fun, challenging and rewarding

first thing i realized sniping in battlefield is that it’s always worth it to check the distance and line up your shot properly, get the other guy in one hit while he rattles off miss after miss😂
Loved the fights between snipers when nobody moves a muscle stand ur ground and just keep dialing it in and see who’s faster

Unwritten rule but when your In a sniper showdown you aren’t allowed to move, you can only adjust trajectory. May the best sniper win 😂👏🏻
These types of sniper gunfights remind me of when we learned about the American revolution. When men would walk like 20 paces and shoot. They'd reload, walk, and then shoot again until someone died. Idk why it reminds me of that 😂

A trick i learned from an experienced shooter, in any game, if ur trying to snipe someone but you dont know the range or how high to aim, find a corner or an object relative to ur target, fire once, and then you basically know exactly how high or low to aim ur gun for that distance
It’s all about aligning those stadia lines

Bullets move so insanely slow in bf4. A high velocity rifle round is traveling at over 2000mph in reality. in game you literally outrun them at 100 yards. It feels like im shooting arrows.

BF4 sniper duels from opposite sides of the map were peak. I remember getting into an insane one playing a conquest match in altai valley. The other dude was on top of a mountain and I was at the base

Literally everyone else: playing the objective, blowing stuff up with tanks, playing the game like a normal shooter
Meanwhile the 5 scout classes on both teams all set up in the same exact area on both sides of the map trying to snipe each other for a good portion of the game:

I was in the same situation, but instead of me just killing him, we both shot at around the same time. So I see a headshot kill thing show up on my screen, as well as a .308 bullet rapidly approaching.
In battlefield 2042 this would just be some TTV player with 4 viewers camping people with the Rorsch
I call those invalid fights, be it at any range, when both sides cant hit a single shot i call them invalid fights
This brings me back to BF4 on the PS3. I was playing on the tropical island map with the Hurricane event that I can't recall the name of.
I was posted up on a tiny little island across from Alpha point letting my squad spawn on my recon point and giving overwatch to the point.
The Hurricane started and I saw a hostile RHIB boat about 800m out stop and the driver get on the minigun.
He's sitting in the water floating on the hurricane waves so he's bobbing up and down.
I lined up my shot and waited for the perfect moment...
Boom headshot 800m marksman bonus.
Man I miss so much BF 4 and the GOL Magnum😭😭😭😭
