That’s a nice Yugo. I recently got a Russian TT33. The finish isn’t great but the triggers about as smooth as I coupd imagine it could ever be. I would like to get my hands on a Yugo and a Chicom eventually.
Shot the M57 when i was ten years old, a kid shot a group of 12cm from 15 meters. It tels something, its simple, powerfull and relialible. All you need
I have a Russian and a M-57 . The pros for the M-57 are feels better in my hand due to the longer mag. , easier to clean, cons I’m always amateur gun smithing it.The pros for the Russian a better built gun. I’ve shot 28,000 rounds of surplus through my Russian TT-33 and everyone went bang.
I got the Romanian TTC. Just wanted a vintage combloc issued pistol, quirks and all. For $200, I just ignore the safety. I save the series business for Glock and Beretta.
To get back into shooting I went full oddball and picked up one of those Romanian Toks from AIM last month as well as some PPU in FMJ and hollow point. It was perfect timing getting the gun and a 1000rd ammo stash (What shortage? And, for a few fleeting moments, cost per round lower than 9MM). It works without skipping a beat, though a Wolff spring kit is on its way just in case. It's a fun thing to shoot aiming down those tiny sights, and it shoots flames out like the apocalypse. That grip angle is super funky, though some Chinesium grips from the 'Bay help. Barely. I want Marschal grips now. That the hammer likes to bite big hands is my chief gripe, but griping is Counterrevolutionary. C&R for the TT-C (Year is stamped next to serial on the frame) which means that for a Californian like me, I don't have to worry about the dreaded Roster...which is why I ended up getting it over an M57 (no date stamp & I don't want to deal with having to send it back. If I didn't have to deal with that, I'd want my M57 brand new...). I have no reservations shooting this until it's rendered unusable.
M57 is easy to carry because its slim !! .. Also its a classy gun, to me its collector gun that is always ready to stike with no mistakes !!! Now only problem is short handle (small and normal hands are OK) this gun knows to bite back, but its ok to bleed a little bit in a gun fight ... right ?!? :) M57 is a must to have no matter how many guns you have!!!
@@stevenkennedy4130 Then you should buy a sewing machine "Ileana". 😀 Cugir was mostly a Sewing Machines Factory. In Communist Romania, a factory could not say "Oh, we are a firearm producer like Smith & Wesson". Nope, a "facade" was a must in those times. And the facade was "We are a Sewing Machines Factory". After 1989 (The fall of Communism) the factory split and the firearm division became part of Romarm, a state-owned defense company. The capitalists "can" produce arms. Can't they? 😀
One Cugir & 2 Yugo’s. Looking for a CZ52 & one more Tok oddity. The TokEgypt is in 9mm & designed by a distant relative so definitely on the look out for that. Can’t remember the other Tok pistol other than the Pps 43 platform.
The stock grip angle on Tokarev pistols isn't very comfortable, but I put one of those Razor Arms slip-on rubber grips that adds a palm swell and beavertail. As a side effect, it completely changes the pistol's silhouette, making it look like a nondescript, fictional handgun from a comic book or videogame. My younger brother just picked up a Romanian Cugir and plans to add Tokagypt-style wraparound grips instead.
2nd time watching lol i forgot the reasoning behind the half cock already, but i know... now again... lol f'n brilliant. But i also wanted to say i really do love the look of the pistol, its awkward looking yet imo very comfortable & ergonomically superior to a 1911. Also i see now the difference between those trigger pulls. You can hear how light it is on the Romanian version. But idk how that would feel to me personally (meaning which i would prefer) great video, again. Thanks for the work you put in on it.
Thank you. Knew most of this, but the half-cock always got me. FYI, there is an article on the net somewhere that tells the tale of the number of flames in the crest. Supposed to indicate year of make or something.
Just remember, even if you have the trigger safety on yours, if you use it as a defense weapon you need that half-cock to keep the hammer off the pin in case of accidental bumps. Many forget it is actually the half-cock safety and works very well once you are used to it.
Last ammo (05:45) is also made in Yugoslavia (Now Serbia) in town Uzice, by factory "Prvi Partizan". PPU means PRVI PARTIZAN - UZICE (First Partisan Uzice)

The Russians made a pass through holster. It was designed to holster on an empty chamber. To draw the pistol you shove it down through the holster. The holster will rack the slide back and as it clears the bottom of the holster the slide chambers your first round.
The Romanians added the trigger safety which may not be popular with the purists out there but it sure makes the pistol much safer. That half trigger thing that is on the pistol by default is not very safe.
@@gunfzx i understand that.
