For $7,500 I can hire someone to remove snow for 7 years. With only a 2 year warranty, that’s a tough sell. I have the Automower from Husqvarna and love it. This is close but they need to drive down the initial cost (or build value).
Auto Mower? Isn't that the one that will only cut 2.5 inches tops? I could never do that. Doesn't the lawn burn out being that short? I think it would here. At least in spots.
I checked today, Jan 23rd. And with the plow blade, the whole system was around 5,100 dollars. 3,700 for the base unit, and 1,100 and change for the snow blower, 199 for the plow blade. Plus truck shipping, I would imagine. It comes with 5 boxes on a pallet. Four years of paying for a plow service and it's paid for. Hell, my lawnmower is 3,000 dollars. But it's a nice John Deere with mag wheels. That's not a bad price for something like snow removal autonomously? Wow, and that's all I need it for. I have a 26hp V-twin for the grass that cuts 46 inches wide. And yes, I'm one of those old disabled people who just can't do the snow anymore. And in the last two years, the plow's been here 3 times and you have to pay by the year. No matter the snow. I've been looking for a change. Currently I'm paying 1,200 dollars a year for snow removal on two properties. And they're right across the street from one another, so this would be perfect. If it lasts 8 years it'll pay for itself twice. Essentially, I've already half paid for it and still don't have it. I think it stands a good shot at lasting 8 years. It looks like very high quality. As long as you don't have problems with the app. I like the idea of the separate controller. Frankly, I live in the Buffalo area and this thing would be too good to be true. But, I'm starting to hope.
I've reached my physical limit manhandling my Ariens snowblower on our 120' long driveway in the snow belt of Western, NY. Sending this out every 2 to 3 inches of snow would probably work very well. I'd park it in my garage [if I could automate the garage door to open/close when then Yarbo needed it]. Pricey? Yes although reaching my physical limits 75% of the way even being unable to get the blower back in the garage tells me I need something.
I'm looking for something like this. When the snow comes, I go skiing, and the wife is left to deal with the snow. There's really no good place to push the snow on my driveway and I prefer snowblowing it. My driveway is steep but short. I already have an automower and it was expensive but is a time saver. It allows me to concentrate on other more productive work like building my deck.
It seems like a lot of the 'stalls' that it suffers from could be solved by the snowblower being used BEFORE you get 18" of snow. So, that begs the question: Is there a way for the weather service or a local sensor to initiate the device rather than waiting for the owner to notice the accumulation?
I know people with Radio Controlled Aircraft that cost $20.000.00 and up!👍🏿That is still pricey, but considering the Technology that it uses, I can understand why it is pricey. Does it have a Dozer Blade?
Yes, a real world test in Canada. Also the snow really has to be dry to be effective. Wet snow will drain the battery and jam up tbe auger. If you have to buy an additional attachment for wet snow not a fan. I will stick with my Toro cordless snowblower at thousands less and the battery replacement a fraction of this one.
With my bad back this may seem like an option. But upstate NY wet snow would just kill it. And I'm in no shape to man handle that beast should it ever die or get stuck at the end of the driveway.
Interesting machine, surprised the engineers didn't really consider what makes most robotic vacuum cleaners or lawn mowers as those have not only cameras but other sensing devices like a LIDAR and [ultra] SONAR. That being said, for the price of one of these I could buy 2 Honda HSS928CTD (38" snow blower with tracks, electric chute, hydrostatic trans and battery electric start) snow blowers. I could buy that snow blower and a Honda 7000W peak inverter generator for that price. I agree that it would be nice for those with physical .limitations but if they have to dig it out of the snow, it really doesn't help much.
The idea is that it is able to blow snow continuously(every 30/20/10/1 minute(s)), so it never gets to the point of 'snow it can't handle'. Set it at the start of the snow season and always have a completely clear driveway

Where are all the young people walking the streets with shovels after a snowstorm, going door to door, trying to earn money like me and my friends used to do. I'd pay him or her well and let him use my snowblower. I'm usually skiing when it snows. My wife doesn't ski, and she doesn't like to shovel.
Cool. So elderly individuals who no longer have the strength to clear their snow and keep their walkways clear or the handicapped who don't have the mobility would find this little device well invaluable provided it could be somehow docked in a place where it could be serviced indoors that way it could call for help and a service tech could come by and check on it and it's owner. Now if the cost could be reasonable, and parts easily accessible, and well long life would need to be factored in as well. Maybe it could take someone to the store or say the hospital. Wouldn't that be cool? 👍 Hay Elon a little help here 🤔👍
Does this come with a built-in "Geotab" or "Air Tag" GPS device? I am alluding to 'Anti-Theft' tech because there will be nefarious a-holes who will steal these. If I invest in one of these, I need a GPS device inside it.
With the snowblower attached a Jarbo clocks in at close to 100kg and it can also work as a guard dog with sentry mode even if not working. Still 100kg most people cant carry alone very far

It's not just a snow blower. It's modular. So it can also mow, leaf blow, and tow any third party attachments, like a lawn sweeper. There is also a trimmer and edger module coming, as well as a granular and liquid spreader. They are also working on many other features, one being a module to automatically grab your trash cans and take it to the street. There is also a patrol mode. So it can act as a security camera and alert you of trespassers. So yes, it is worth it. Especially for how much it costs to hire lawn service and snow service. Not to mention you're at the mercy of the contractors for when they decide to show up, particularly when dealing with snow. I've been using autonomous mowers now for about 3 years. And I will never go back. I currently own two Mammotion Lubas. And I also own one of these with a mower module and a snow blower module. Highly recommended.

Tesla will be coming up with Optimus which can practical do anything. Why do I need this when I can get Optimus to clean my drive way, mow, help with cleaning inside the house, help with chores etc If the price for this product cant be brought down, it is not going to last long is my prediction.
@@abinmmj I think Optimus will cost even more and probably will be worse on snow and ice besides as we speak it can only lift 20kg. A bipedal design is among the worst things to build with current tech
So I have absolutely no interest in buying something that cannot operate autonomously all on its own. This robot seems a little small to be effective in heavy snow, but that’s just me saying that, you obviously know better than I do, but I think it needs to be bigger, and it needs to have the ability to operate autonomously all on its own, and so the manufacturer need to get their act together, because there seems to be something lacking in their software development here, because why would you put something out like this, and it didn’t have the ability to avoid obstacles? That in itself is a nonstarter for me, and so for that reason, I’m out, but thanks for posting the video. Cheers 🥂

I still have it! Haven’t had to use it yet this year fortunately, it hasn’t snowed here yet. I won’t be making more videos with it though, it’s not the type of content I would make continuously.

I was under the assumption they would have had you sign a "contract" saying you have to post "x" amount of videos, etc, facebook, Instagram etc.... to make it worth it for them. Well be lucky you have had no snow we have tons here in Ontario. I have good friends in Nfld, one of them owns the West End Club. I've never been to Nfld, but from Facebook videos it looks like a fun spot. Well I hope you get to use it again, I thought your video was great ! @@MarkSpurrell The best way to keep snowfalls away is to spend lots of money to be ready for snow. The year I finally bought a 6 hp Toro snowblower we only had 2- meager 3 inch snowfalls and the rest were a couple of dustings in Cleveland Ohio. 🤷♂ A win, I guess (?!)
