Love the 30+ minute videos Nick, keep it up.
Love the color combo, don't know why we don't see it more!
Nick murray you are my favorite youtuber seriously man you rock!!
bustami97 Thanks buddy
SMUTS!!!
Enjoy watching you test driving a porsche. I live in Thailand. Used to live in Maryland, USA for 21 years. Cars in Thailand are expensive, especially imported high-end cars. Ordered a 2023 Porsche carrera S 992.1 three months ago costing over US$400,000 because import duties are so high here. The car should arrive in July this year. So, you guys are so lucky to be able to buy one for a lot less. For the amount I have to pay here, you can get a 911 GT3 RS with plenty leftover.
Been meaning to watch this for the last couple weeks, and finally did. Really enjoyed it, thanks Nick
Should have listened 3 years ago when I first saw your vids. 3 cars later, I am back looking for a 911 991!
the 991 991s are great looking, what makes this one a popper are those high gloss aluminium door and windows trims. I am unable to resist these. They look so classy and really POP!
Really speaks volumes after all your troubles you still prefer the 911. I think you really have to drive a Porsche to "feel" what the hype is about... They are so satisfying.
Great review Nick!
I've only recently discovered your channel. You're one of the most unique and uniquely funny people on RUclips, especially the way you laugh at your detractors. Your dog being pulled through the leaves and the chicken in the Corolla had me laughing until I cried. Keep it up!
Long time watcher, Nick. I just realized you made this video right on my normal cruise route around the reservoir. Grew up in Weston and really learned how to toss a car around there, I still live a couple of minutes away from there.
If it wasn't for your lemon of a Porsche I would never have discovered you. Love your reviews Nick
So glad to hear you're getting another 911, especially a manual 911. I have a C4S with the same exterior and interior colors as your friends and couldn't be happier with it. If you can believe it the gearshift gets even better after the 2,000 mile break in. I can't wait to see the options and your review of the your 991.2 in the future
Peter ordered a great car, with many dynamic options, but (in my opinion when you order PDCC and stuff) he should have ordered the sport exhaust as well, because that sound is simply gorgeous. The 991.2 information we have here in Germany: the base model will get a 2.9 liter turbo and the S will get a 3.4 l turbo. Only the GT models will stay naturally aspirated. Just as you, I hope the sound stays as beautiful as it is nowadays, but we'll see :)
Great review :))

Nick people don't want you to speak? why? thats crazy man your reviews are awesome. I have a bmw and i plan on getting a porsche
The quality of your content is excellent. So many camera angles and all in 60fps 1080p.
I, sooooo agree with you on the manual! It feels like something is missing. Been two years and I still feel short changed with PDK. Then again I'm from the "manual" school of driving.(pun intended)
If you're interested in having the "pure" 911 experience, you might not want to wait to get your 911 S. If the rumors are true, Porsche is going to put a smaller turbo engine in the 911 next year. If that happens, I'm sure a lot of 911-lovers will mourn.
I love seeing the enjoyment on your face when you are driving this car. Very nice car and good video.👍
This was an amazing looking video Nick!! I was shocked to hear that you only changed a couple of things, and it wasn't your cameras! Loved this video! Think I'll have to go back and watch your older videos of your Porsche again! Take care Nick.
Smokin with Chris Thanks Chris
SMUTS!!!
I really like that you get your car videos sorted out before you upload them. You must take many hours getting the film clip right & on the same plane with the correct exterior shot. It all ends up with a very well sorted out video w/excellent sounds. (Good narrating too) Great job to you sir!
Camera is awesome! Such a clear video
I think the words you were looking for to describe the difference between the M4 and a 911; The Porsche is much a more tactile car, the steering feel, the agility and cornering, tied to the fact that sweet sounding six, make it much more of an emotional driving experience.
Another brilliant review - very informative and inspiring! Thanks Nick.
Greetings from Johannesburg South Africa
Someone in my local area owns a 991 Carrera S in this exact spec, and it is just a simply stunning car in person. The lines of a 911 are beautiful, especially on the 991. One day...Nick I can tell you really miss your 911! Can't wait to see which one you choose after the M4!
I was able to drift the 911 4S in my review. I was surprised too until I realized I had turned off the traction control! 😁 Great cars!
got to drive two 911 s's and i loved them so much (both were red) but they both had the PDK which i would probably choose.
they are such nimble feeling cars so fun (interior was a bit disappointing but they were both 90K or so about) not the fastest thing on the road but so much fun never the less.
Nick agree with same comment you made re driving enjoyment of 991 CS, when applied against an RS5. There is such a difference. Excellent review!
Nick, thank you for another wonderful film. yours is fast becoming one of my favorite subscriptions. regards.
Well done Nick. Im on my second 991.1 and love these cars. My second didn’t come with sport exhaust either but does have sport 1 and 2. Not sure I-really need sport exhaust. The engine sounds so good as is.
I have owned a 2015 c2S cab since 2016 . I really love everything about it ! Have contemplated getting GTS or 991.2 or 9
Continued: 992 but I love that NA flat six sound and torque boost at 3500 rpm. I always go back to this video periodically! It always makes me smile
Thanks Nick.
That naturally aspirated engine sounds so much better than the turbo charged engines.. ❤️❤️
I have the S and have driven the GTS. Its more than just another 30HP! Its like a different car entirely. They have tuned the GTS to fill that gap between the S and GT3 which is a great car but much harder to live with as a daily driver.
Good news is that the 2012/13 can be had for the mid 70k range with less than 10000 miles on them. Some CPO so if you want the S its not as if a new $125k model is something you need spend.
+Steve Jovan Thanks for the input Steve. Glad to hear the truth about the GTS model. tell me more if you can please?
mooddog07
Great car that is very livable! Better sports car than the S provided the S is not enough for you.
It's Porsche way of filling the gap between the S and GT3. More sports car for people not willing to make the compromises that the GT3 requires.
To be fair there are very few of these in the used car market as it's a 2015 model 991 GTS.
Meaning no discount to speak of for a while.
On the other hand you can grab a 991 in the S model for the mid 70k price.
See Auto Trader!
Its not the GTS but its also not $130-$160 car!
If you have the deep pocket then the GTS is the better car.
Turbo and Turbo S are monster cars that are now GT in size. MY OPINION BUT I'M NOT ALONE!
HUGE PRICE TO PAY FOR HP THAT 99% OF DRIVERS WILL NEVER USE!
GT3 is a street legal track car which even in the most comfortable setting is not a car you care to drive everyday.
Don't get me wrong you can't go wrong with a Porsche and even more so with a 911 except for the base model which is very pricey for 350 HP.
The S has won more awards than any other car in its class since introduced.
All the new 911 model get huge points for reliability.Meaning its a true sports car with low cost of ownership compared to other models.
The current S beat the 997 Turbo time around the RING and is much nicer to drive.
Lastly don't exclude a look at the Cayman GTS if you want a fun car with great handling that drives really well. Mid engine car will always be a winner given its balance.
Again this is all about what you want out of a Porsche. Top end end speeds and 0 to 60 matter to some people but to others neither is something they will be doing with the car 99% of the time.
Pick the Porsche that fits what you want to do with the car!
I have driven both and prefer the 4 wheel drive. It is amazing!!
If you could do a video explaining most of the various porsche 911's/trims, which is better for the money etc etc, thoroughly yet concisely, I think it would pull a lot of views over time, at least I would appreciate it, haha
Love the depth you go into mate, well done.
This car in a true manual must be automotive perfection.
i realize I'm kind of randomly asking but do anybody know a good site to watch new movies online ?
@Kabir Phillip I would suggest flixzone. You can find it by googling =)
@Albert Josiah Yup, have been watching on Flixzone for since march myself :D
@Albert Josiah thanks, I went there and it seems like they got a lot of movies there =) I really appreciate it !!
@Kabir Phillip No problem =)
Love my 2014 Carrera S. Manual trans, normally aspirated. Dark Blue Metallic, black over platinum interior.
Nick just want to say I love your videos and thanks for all the work you do and gadgets you buy to make them so professional. You have a great natural quality on camera!
Richard Boudet Thanks Richard
SPÅN!?!?
The M4 it's one off my favorites cars but next to my dream car 911 wooooow lookes sooooo beautiful makes me cry
Hey Nick,
Really enjoy your videos. Could you do me a favor? I want to know how much space there is when the rear seats are folded down. Will it fit a medium size dog crate? I too love my dog but she travels in a crate vs just the back seat. Saves the leather from being damaged and safer for her. Thanks and keep up the great reviews.
Just bought a 2007 Cayman S (6 speed 5 weeks ago) Its my 1st Porsche and I love it. Looking at a 2012 911 Carrera as my next one. There is no other car out there like it.
That was awesome. Nice camera work, great commentary. I too am a huge fan. Cheers.
Nice review! You really love this car, and I hope the 991.2 is everything you hope for!
34:14-You need to do a full, detailed review on a Toyota Corolla. I need to see that!
Man... get one! Seriously, you love it so much that it must feel like you need it. It's a fantastic car and you know this too well yourself, it's probably as close as it gets to "the perfect sports car". Also, getting a new one has nothing to do with what happened with the 2013 Carrera, that's just my opinion. You get it for what it is and it is an amazing piece of engineering. Cheers, mate and keep the reviews coming! Hope we'll see a review of your very own 911 soon!
Hey, Nick! What are your thoughts on the Cayman GT4? I've always wanted to know your opinion on that car or if you have any plans to review one. Love your videos! Keep up the good work!
Definitely like the "driving first, talking later" setup, Nick. Great review!
Also, the center console mounted GoPro gives a really cool, unique point of view
DJÄVLA TOMTE!!!
Wow.... 991 CS with my ultimate exterior and interior colours... Nick I was thinking it'd be a little while yet until you waded back into 911 world but I see you're healing up nicely. I'm so stoked about this vid that I have had to make comment after watching, no joke, 9 seconds of it so far. I am still 60/40 split between C4S and CS (ha-ha, get it?) because while I dont need a car everyday and it will be doing around 2/3 of its miles while on trips, I dont have need nor space for another vehicle to keep around for heavy weather/snow duty. I need an everyday driver even though I'm not going to be driving everyday (well ok, every new Porsche owner is a driver every day for some months no doubt, but you get my meaning) I'm in Amsterdam, or will be anyway, and work from home but as a prop trader I can do my job with a couple of decent laptops and a good connection. Anyway, this means I've developed a mouth watering plan to spend some months driving all around Europe, North and South, in a new 991. However, as an originally Canadian boy I love the snow and drive in it with joy and gusto... nothing to be afraid of if you have the right gear, in fact in an all wheel drive vehicle hammering across the white stuff is a most rarified pleasure. Now, let's just tip-toe around the word "Turbo S" and pretend it doesnt actually exist...... damn, didn't work......
Everyone should film in 60 fps.. it's just wonderful
Thanks Nick, bit late/looking back at this jus 7 years later 🤦🏻♂️👍
Thanks Nick. Great video. Love hearing your thoughts, opinions etc. On the differences of these wonderful sports cars. It all goes into the memory banks for when I can afford to go shopping for one of my own.
Nice review mate, as always. Love the car obviously, since Im a porsche guy myself. Wouldnt wait for the 991.2 though, for they will be turbocharged, thats a fact! What about the gt3?
Thanks for another great video Nick, it was enjoyable! I quite like the blue exterior, beige interior with a black top surfaces like the dash. That's how I have my Jag spec'd as well. Speaking of which, could you get your hands on a Jaguar XF V8? I'd love to hear your thoughts on that car. Mine's a 2012 and I'd be happy to let you video mine but I'm in Minneapolis :)
I like your inputs and opinions, but it's always nice to see more POV driving. It's hard to find great POVs, many people do them, but often it's to much traffic so they can´t push the car enough in a safe way. Or they put music over the sound... Keep it up! Nice to you see you when you really like a car :D
Nick , got to drive a 2014 convertible like this yesterday. My friend is also from NZ. What a great car!
car-gasm! I would agree with everything you said about the Carrera 2S + manual tr. pros in a heart beat! I'm afraid of turbos of the 991.2 though.
I went AUTO because of arthritis in the knee...........best decision I ever made!
Hey Nick! Love the detail of your reviews. I'd love to see a thorough review of the latest Nissan GTR (non NISMO version), as well as a C7 Corvette Z06; and of course - your honest impressions of the cars. Cheers!
Imma fan from day991 as u know Nick and I gotta say your Videos are getting better and better!!!
I come for kiwi commentary and the Porsches!!!!!!
The predictions on turbocharged 911's turned out to be very accurate!
And it's a manual, which just makes me sooo happy :P
1:57 - what a beauty. can’t believe you traded her in bro
Porsche is my favourite car maker, but i still find the standard 911 to be my least favourite 2 door model. I'm a massive cayman fan, and then love the 911GTS and GT3, but for me the 911 needs something special, like a ducktail wing, or my favourite 911 of all time the flat nose.
yeah, the original shape, the pure coupe, is the most beautiful 911
The 991.1 3.4 litre with PSE + Sports Chrono + PASM. What more would you want Nick. Seasons Greetings. Have a safe and peaceful 2020.
Nick, great job again!! Your video photography was in-deeded improved!
Your analysis was objective and made well taken points about the 4-S as verses
the 2 and alternative transmissions. It would be nice if Porsche would provide you
a 991.2 for 2016 to do a review. You have great credibility with prospective buyers.
They should acknowledge that with a car to provide an unbiased features and benefits upgrade over the 2015. It would demonstrate their are own no hard feelings as you have gratuitously done so yourself.
PS. I miss your dog but understand this was not your car. A cameo would have been a nice touch.
Bruce Mitton I try to sneak Tui (dog) into most videos. Thanks for the great comment
DJÄVLA SMURF!!!
991.2 on the nurburgring without camouflage have been released if you wanted to know ;)
From that kind of shiny tires,I know it should be very outstanding.
Great to see you back in a 911 again mate. Great video, many thanks. Tom
I never comment on vids but I enjoy your car reviews you do an excellent job! Would love to see you and saabkyle04 do a review, also you'd be excellent in Topgear :)
I forgot how great these sounded. Seeing this in 2021 really drives home how awful the 992 sounds.
Camera run over is the best!
Fantastic Video!
You work so hard and your films are a joy! I will be gutted when you drop the M4. Tim, UK!
Oh yeah that 991.2 CS looks awesome. Now's the time! Conv for me.
Your comment about the engine coming alive at 4000 RPM, it must be a design goal. My 964 would pull well to 4000, but went completely bonkers above that point. It was like starting another engine. It would pull that way all the redline. :)
like your patient review of that POOR 911 and uncomfortable negotiation with dealer before.
But glad to see you are back!
Great review. The Ferrari 458 is very similar in the way it builds and delivers power. As the revs rise the harder it pulls. Oh and I should mention the Nissan 3.5L V6 HR motor is also quite similar (2007-2008). Defintely a "Vtec like" switchover at 4000rpm with a 7500rpm redline, although this S model makes more torque.
This is how I'd spec my 911, great review
Hey Nick, could you do a video on the 911-options that you would pick or that you would say are a must and which are not necessary? Thanks :)
Love watching your Porsche videos the best. I think it's just fine to have you talking during the driving. In fact your videos are diminished by the extended silence.
I too am curious about what will becoming with the 991.2.
Nick I got mine 911 4S Convertible just month ago and You had big part on me buying the car so thank You for that again ! Great job on video quality, maybe you should do review on the cameras you are using !
No matter which car you review, you always have the biggest smile when you are reviewing a Porsche. You should definitively buy it once again! But don't forget deviated stitching please :)
Nick - Great video and review! Thank you! I have a question for you...Is PSE a must have on a 991?
Thanks for the review. I'm currently a M3 (F80) owner and I've always wanted to purchase a Porsche, but I don't know a lot about the various models and options and don't really have an opportunity to ever be around them. This was educational and informative. Thanks again.
Ducatista Gregorio Glad it was helpfull
SMURF!!!
%100 agree
RWD + manual transmission
What sort of problems did you have with your last 911, Nick? I thought Porsches were pretty reliable now.
Awesome video Nick, shame I won't be able to make it to the meet in New England especially since I am currently in the States on holiday from Australia! Love that you use your M4 for a chase car...
snnam 101 Perfect chase car : )
PUNDARE!!!
Congrats. I can't find anything snarky to say. Wait, I think I just did.
You have really upped the production, and story telling quality.
Sorry I missed the cars and chopper meet. And I'm in Westchester County, arrrrgh.
+biffy7 You are watching too many of my videos, you will start talking funny.
+Nick Murray talking "funny" has worked well for you. What percentage of your RUclips success is due to the accent:
A - 0%
B - 98%
C - 99%
D - 99.9%
E - All of the above.
NOT NOW CATO, YOU YELLOW FOOL!!!
I prefer the dark interior colour of your previous 911 over this beige one. The dark colour looks more sophisticated and better accentuates the deviated stitching. Speaking of which, this car does not have as much deviated stitching as your car did. NEEDS MORE DEVIATED STITCHING!
azaz911c So true
Time to jump back into the Porsche bandwagon nick! And as usual great video! Keep it up! :)
Great video, Nick. Where was it filmed? It looks a lot like Michigan, but I could be wrong…
Get a 911 GTS next
***** GTS agree is best in 911 range in the middle
TURD!!!
Nick was sold on the deviated stitching. he loves a bit of that action in his leather
qtip So true
SO SORRY!!!
Nick that giggity from 1st to 2nd is so good LOL
I can't wait till I buy one
I like the wheels you had on yours way better
RAJohnson713 Me too!
Nick Murray Would you get the black accents if it is still available at the time you would order one?
SMURF!!!
Nearly perfect spec on this beauty!
Thanks for the honest review Nick. Now I know what 911 to buy
+mooddog07 A blue one!
SMUTS!!!
you know those "hondur engines". enjoying binging your various 911 series of videos. Also I'm pretty certain most of the problems that you had with your 911 all stemmed from the water that was getting your car on the passenger side.
Please review a 997 as well - thanks!
Brilliant.. Manual gearbox!! You know it makes sense..
