If Eloy Casagrande is the new Slipknot drummer, I think Slipknot are in good hands drum wise. I saw Sepultura live last year, and his videos covering Slipknot, hes super tight.
Lets don't forget one fact here... "farewell tour" otherwise know as retirement .... for a 33yo passionate musician this is not a atractive perspective.. and if he has received a amazing oportunity that is just a dream come true whatever it is (and if he chose it it must be) then we can only wish both Sepultura and Eloy all the best on their journey. 13 years... and he left before the "first rehersal" giving them more then enough time to get Greyson to gell in. Greyson is amazing as well and he is not there to write new material just to play the current catalog which can be learned quickly by an elite level drummer like Greyson. I see it as win (Eloy) win (Greyson needs such experiance) win (fans) and win for the band as well as they quicky secured an amazing replacment so happy days.
I feel that Eloy Casagrande should've stayed with Sepultura for their farewell tour. Sepultura was going to disband anyways. Hopefully there wasn't any bad blood between Eloy and the former Sepultura members.
I was just thinking the same thing, but I guess Eloy's heart for being in Sepultura wasn't strong anymore and wanted to progress with a new journey. The band and Eloy didn't have any bad things that have happened between them before he left, but who knows what was the actual reason behind his departure.

Him quitting just as Slipknot gear up for a big tour would be a hell of a coincidence.

i would love eloy with Slipknot. Actually i would return to listen Slipknot because i believe Eloy has the necessary brutallity that slipknot needs
Absolutely correct
The only thing stopping him from joining slipknot was the sepultura farewell tour, in my opinion.
That is if he actually gets the job. We shall see.
Yep! Considering all the circustances, it is impossible not to think in this possibility
I’m thinking this is gonna happen.

If he is really going to Slipknot, he may have received a contract with urgency to join them right away. Slipknot is about to starting touring too.
