    These lists are never perfect though I try to be as thorough as possible. It’s obvious after posting this that I misplaced Crow. He should be higher on this list due to a lot of factors. Thanks everyone for bringing it to my attention and supporting this channel!

      It's all good. What it really goes to show to me, is that so many people play this series and this game in so many different ways, that no two tierlists are likely to look anywhere near the same because of all the individual strategies people use. Well...except for Rean being near/at the top of the list. That's probably not changing, lol.

      I keep Gungnir as his main, with Woden with a secondary, and he's insane (I gave Rean Woden as his main for bosses/etc). Hell, my Crow already has a base Critical Rate of almost 50% WITHOUT the Woden High HP bonus.

    Crow should be bro tier. Azure Destiny is basically his own Spirit Unification, except better since it gives him insight as well, and the status immunity Rean gets won't mean anything if he can't be touched, he has pistols for long range counters, and just like Rean, he can be a spell caster as well, though he probably won't be casting 1 delay arts due to lacking Reans broken exclusive accessories. I had to stop using him and Rean in my main party because everyone else was basically irrelevent(Nightmare). The only times any other party member got a turn in battle was against bosses, or if they were lucky enough to win the speed war at the start. Jusis should be higher based on his BO alone. Gaius was already god tier in CS2 as well where he already had an infinite turn build with Thor MQ.

  • @nesoukkefka1741
    @nesoukkefka1741 3 года назад +2

    I'll mostly agree with this list, except for Fie who I would rank much much higher. Some things I would like to say tough :
    -Laura as much as I love her as a character, I must agree with her placement her biggest drawback is how slow she is compare to most of the cast even tough like you said if you help her as most as possible she can be very destructive, however I think she is good as a reserve members cause of her Brave Order, Insight is already nice but that +60% Damage Bonus is massive (and work with all type of damage), this is the second biggest Damage Increase out of all the Brave Order in the game (the first being Vita so unlike Laura's you have more limited access to it), if use at the right timing that Brave Order can make you melt through boss with ease, you can reach over 100k damage as soon as Act 2 thanks to this Brave Order.
    -A few word on Jusis while he might fell a bit as you progress through the game, if we look at the entire game not just the late game I think he is one of the best, first off his Platinum Shield is incredibly usefull, and he has a good Craft for Impede ennemies, but he is also an amazing support for Art Caster, first off one of his Craft can Debuff ennemies ADF, then there is his Brave which was actually untouch from Cold Steel 3 and got better when you upgrade it that ATS Buff combine with 30% Damage Increase comes out really nice, also IIRC he is the earliest access to the Link ability Arts Support 2 which when trigger multiply the Art Damage of his partner by 1.5 which makes him the best character to link to your caster for quite a while cause when that kicks in boy does it hurt for the ennemies. Because of that I would place him in the Top Tier.

  • @jesserivera2043
    @jesserivera2043 Год назад

    I absolutely love the thought you put into this ranking. I actually agree with every placement, but in regards to the explanations I will say there is a lack of love sent to the "magic swordsman" classes like Crow, Kurt, Jusis, Altina, and Ash. Basically characters who have crafts that are magical, but can still unbalance.
    With the right setup favoring ATS they can be monsters on the battlefield, especially with Emma's brave order. They demolished the bosses during the rivalries, as in several cases their magic-based crafts hit almost as hard as arts, but with no charge time.

  • @danieldishon688

    You applied the "Not Your Turn" strategy to Giaus to place him in the high tiers but continue to ignore the fact that it can be used with Laura as you place her in the mid tier. Laura's speed is irrelevant when you can make her use the S-Craft at any time of your choosing, including on garunteed crit turns.

  • @craig581

    I love how these lists change as the series progresses. They're all viable characters, but It's just some have progressed more than others have. I mean, It make sense that Sarah, Gaius ans Rean are all God tier because of their stories and progression as characters throughout the series.

  • @B-Raven
    @B-Raven 3 года назад +1

    I agree with this tier list, about 80-90% in. The only thing I would've changed, would be moving Fie to top tier. I agree she isn't as broken as she can be in CS2, and still isn't Musse level in the top tier, but the evasion tank strategy can still be executed almost flawlessly. Also fun to notice that, with absolute dedication to the strategy, she can be equipped and accessorized to go WELL above and beyond 100%. Dunno, found it hilarious

    • @nesoukkefka1741
      @nesoukkefka1741 3 года назад

      Beyond Evasion Tank the best aspects of Fie is her speed and the fact she can Crit for day, these may sound intriguing as she doesn't have a good Crit Rate, however the thing the creator of the video forgot to mention is she has a Craft that gives her STR, SPD buffs which is already nice but also gives her Stealth and attacking while being in Stealth guaranteed the Crit, so she has guaranteed Crit for 2 turns with this Craft, and she can also Crit guaranteed through Countering with the Rage Quartz, with both she basically is suprisingly the best Crit user of the game this mean 2 things :
      1-She can take advantage of the Gungnir Master Quartz better than any other Character and the bonus it gives to her damage is huge.
      2-She can generate BP very fast with no trouble at all as crit are guaranteed to unbalance the target, to make use of more Orders.
      On top of that she also have Sweep 2 while not very damaging the area it covers is huge and it interrupt ennemies that try to cast Arts and Craft combine that with her insane Speed and she is amazing for that purpose, her Cipher Edge craft with Instant-Death chance on it is also nice for mob fight; also let's not forget her great Brave Order Insight Statut is hands down the best buff in the game and she give that + a 50% Delay Reduction for 10 turns geez.
      Honnestly I would argue she might even be God Tier, that little girl is a monster.

    I agree with 100%. My ideal lineup was Gaius as en evasion/cp generator, rean ,Emma and Laura ( although maybe Sara was better). Laura link with gaius with rage , evade+crit + Laura assist. Rean to do all around (I put mobius quartz on him for tough battles) and enma to do real damage. Probably musse+Emma is a better option. Oh and gaius mostly for getting to 100cp and scraft delay.

  • @InfinityZeroEX
    @InfinityZeroEX 3 года назад +1

    Also because Emma was sort of glossed over, if you give her the Brigid quartz at max lvl and the right cp recovery accessories, she can break the game. Being able to get 15 cp back a turn and casting Chrono burst and using her cp recovery spell on all your party members she can break the endgame because the enemy will never get a turn and you can continuously spam S-Crafts. And if you saved up a bunch of ep recovery items this can get you all the way from about the start of the final act to the final boss, which is a lot. The final act is huge.

    • @lolRNG
      @lolRNG 3 года назад

      Don't even need to give her Brigid for that. She can cast spells so fast consecutively with the right orbment lineup she'll be getting CP back for her S-craft before the enemies turn anyway.

      @@lolRNG oh I’m aware that’s not an optimized set up, the point was this is a simple set up that still makes her broken. This is more of a support build for her, and if set up correctly, it will always be Emma’s turn and you just spam S crafts and delete bosses.

Also, people keep SAYING "Break+Delay" is "super nerfed", but...I'm at Eventide and it's still worked pretty well, it's just that it requires a little more thought into it. Plus, Sledgehammer ultimately only got nerfed from a 300% Break boost to a 250% one. And I'm not going to say Chrono Burst abuse isn't easy to get working in a number of cases, OR that there's so many ways to heal CP, you can't just have Gaius infinitely Delay bosses by S-Break spamming until they're Broken, Dead, or both, among with a ton of other things like incorporating Juna's Craft, or Sara's Brave Order into it that things are far from dead even if you DON'T have Juna with you, BUT...lol.

    He was my 2nd best physical damage dealer (woden + gunnnir) and good quarts setup you will do 30k-50k damage every turn (I would put him in top top tier)
    Jusis noble rise brave order is also really good in my opinion I use it to not bother with using reans spirit unification on mods mush
    Rean is best caster (no cast time without brave order and zerro delay after cast with delay reduction brave order and best physical damage dealer (only one to have 5s power s craft which attacks every enemy) in the game so yeah he is most broken (my max physical damage is 250k with gunnir+minatours and 220to 250 speed)
    I would put sera in top tier and fie in top tier as only fie and Sharron are having base evasion 25% (I think)
    I used juna as moebius user with bs health to use as a clutch tag in
    (chrono burst then accelerate then chrono burst again then use a cp and ep healing item then tag out)
    My final team was rean (an all out attacker), fie(evasion tank) Altina(support and arts) crow (cross blade craft spam to do massive damage)
    Rean breaks (other than major bosses rean breaks every enemy in one turn) then then use normal attack and and make sure attacking party is linked with either crow or rean to do massive damage (my best link attack damage with normal attack was 40k-50k

      I second his choice people don't give Machias enough credit because he is admitadly one of the worst character in the entire Cold Steel saga story wise, but gameplay wise he is actually a beast, Long Range impede Craft with good break rate and Defense Debuff, Burst Drive is outright amazing ability to manipulate turn and a great Brave Order 50% Delay reduction for 8 turns with STR and DEF buff is no joke.

      @@nesoukkefka1741 he is really good but he is so strangely designed. Being a ranged user and tanky is just a weird combo

    Looking at this video and looking at my endgame party:
    My endgame party and thoughts about it:
    Rean, Fie, Laura and Alisa with the basic set evasion up to 100% thanks to Alisa's Heavenly Gift Craft and let enemies miss all the time. That's a strat that will bring me victory.
    See basically three of them in the lower tiers:
    My thoughts: I really must learn how to use Machias correctly.

      In four I’d skip Machias and just go for the arts users! Him and Juna are almost interchangeable. But your set ups a classic one!
