She has so much one-shot potential, even with Bolting, and if she’s in Gremory, she can potentially use it 6-7 times bc of her crest. Hapi may have the best magic list in the game. And it seems you might’ve gotten stat screwed with her, bc she has the same magic growth as Linhardt, and way more useful spells than him, in addition to also having physic and warp

Oh my goodness. Ignatz's and Bernie's bowknights being in Low tier. Ignatz in-house can see 3 +3-adjacent allies damage boosts(1 from an adjutant raphael to boot) on top of brainlessly high accuracy. Bernie is arguably the only A-support linked attack(in-house) female archers for the _darting blow player phase bowknight_ deleting, while also getting another +5 damage boost personal. (In-house Leonie usually will prefer Cavalier-> Paladin for a long while first, because you have 3 top-tier backline dps already; that need some wall). Also, Dedue and Ferdinand above Sylvain. It's a free recruit, Sylvain is, with marginally the best stats of the 3, that also gets +2 dam/def when front-lining for your female allies as well as swiftstrikes. Just play female byleth, _auto-recruit_ and walk both of them up the field, +20% exp +2 damage +2 defense, with the same huge base-defense as Leonie. He won't be threatened by mages like Dedue and auto-doubles on player phase with swiftstrikes, with double the move stat to boot. Max defense battalion and Def +2 skill and he's brainlessly free. You even put the 2-range Barbarossa Claude above anyone with 4-range, even tho enemy bow users oneshot Claude when he's mounted. And no, wind god doesn't kill like doubling, auto-doubling or max power spells do.
Ignatz also gets an insanely high crit rate towards the late game in addition to his crazy high hit rate. He’s an investment for sure in the beginning but he more than pulls his weight once you really put your faith in him.

Bernadetta, in my first play through I would’ve agreed easily but she’s waaaay better than she seems because of her passive skills. He's bad. Literally every other brawler does the same thing he does BUT better. Goodie Basket is a HORRIBLE personal ability that literally can HURT him if you have a brain and are using wrath vantage
Dmitri is simple and stright forward he will statrically crush any boss in his route with his relic dunno why hes not god tier he dosent really need a wide selection of classes hes just strong by himself and tbh I think thats more of a pro than a con you dont need to wrack your brain to build him he just good the way he is.
Do you think you could look at Ogre Battle: March of the black Queen? It could be interesting , especially with the morialty system, branched promotions, plot specific and secret characters, quite a lot to get your teeth into

@@Ninjaananas her base stat is on par with the other units and her cap is only surpassed by like Lysithea and I think Hubert. She at most has a 45% base magic growth which is 5 lower than say Dorothea or Annette. So combo the equal base, better spell list, and no this is kinda hard to believe.

Dorothea has actually a lower magic growth, but she is in the same boat of relying on her good spell list. I guess her stat is still comparable to other mages, but she is still clearly on the lower side of mages.

Marianne is better than lindhart, and felix is easily the best unit in the game. Leonie is not bad, but also not good, she's mid. Petra is good for speed, but her strength is low so and she doesn't have a crest so Felix is easily better. Dimitri is the best lord

I will just defend my Fav unit Dedue who you are deadass wrong about. He is the best early game unit thanks to his personal, he can be Fortress Knight, Brawler, or Warmaster depending on the map, he has Vengeance which is the best art in the game, and he has a wrath vantage 100% crit enemy phase setup using Killer Lances in Warmaster and can use Vengeance on player phase to solo entire maps on Maddening. His only problem is availability.

few counters, manuela comes with warp, warp is a really good spell to have on maps and that's her main big niche and it does make a her pretty decent, Bernadetta is actually way better with lances then bows, she can learn the skill veangeance which does exactly the same things as it does in awakening and it does a lot of heavy damage. the worst characters in the game is either ashe or mercedes they don't really add much in the long run, mercedes lacks warp and can only heal something that can be made obsolete with other mage characters and ashe's perf skill can be see as not actually having one his growths and stats don't have much to come by either
Marianne is pretty much inmortal with the servitude ability, however she has some advantages in healing compared to others like Lysithea, whom I would never consider nothing than the best using warp and attacking with black magic. 😊😊
I would suggest keeping Manuela and hanneman on team just long enough for their full support because their interactions is really funny. Also Claude not being on the bonus tier list is criminal!
here to defend jeritza: the fact you don't elaborate on WHY he is in lower tier just shows you haven't actually played with him. dude can literally solo the timeskip half of the crimson flower route if he's built properly, just like how dimitri can pretty much solo azure moon. i always used him in my cf playthroughs and every single time he's been busted. his personal talent literally gives +20 hit so it makes up for his bad dex stat. apart from male byleth, hes the only male character to learn darting blow, his personal class is overpowered and when mastered, he gets counterattack so its possible for him to just wipe out anything in both enemy and player phase. plus, counterattack on him is ridiculously overpowered, i've had times where he's near death but counterattack literally stops anything from wiping him out. pair that with vantage and he's literally never dying. jeritza has a budding talent in flying which is even better as crimson flower is super unfriendly for cavalry units, meaning you can just make him a wyvern and he's still gonna be as great as he is as cavalier. he is a beast of a unit and is well known for being S tier because of his excellent stat growths, personal class and learnable skills + he's level 27 when you get him, he's sometimes seen as A tier because of his accessibility- hes locked behind crimson flower. he was pretty much MADE with maddening mode in mind and its very very clear you benched him the moment you got onto cf. he's easily one of the best units in the game since he makes up for the church units you lose and he barely needs any investment to be broken. also maybe you should actually play the game before making tier lists because a lot of these placements are straight up wrong, please look into both the crests and the relics, this tier list is NOT good advice for new players and also learn the pronunciation of the characters names! the game literally has voice acting!

what you did not mention about lysithia is her insane warb range. you dont need to speedrun or ltc to use this. almost every map is kill boss this makes warb even more insane then in most games. coupled wiht strife and flying movement almost any location of the map can be reached within the first turn of a map. also chathin is a bit to low here ealry aviabily while beeing gifted with swordmasters stats makes her your best combat unite for a few chapters. you could argue about edelgard beeing better then calud but thats just a question of how good are you. in perfect play edelgards legendary weapon is suprior but if you just play casually clauds insane movment and speed is suprior.
Everyone talks a lot about felix but maybe i had bad luck in the growth rates cause he is kinda mid in my hard playthrough. He is a swordmaster but gets hit so many times and normally doesn't kill enemies in 1 go.
Putting Bernadetta that low because of her personal skill is honestly idiotic. Yes, it needs her to be damaged for it to work, but if you play around it, Bernadetta becomes one of, if not the most broken archer/cavalier in the game. Before you say “but you need to play around it!” Shut up. This is a strategy game.
Idk, after replaying the game a bunch of times i found some characters that habe previously sucked in previous runs, hard carrying me in others. Some characters (non house leaders) seem blessed by RNG and destined to rock no matter what, like Hilda and Petra, while others seem to get stiffled by RNG on every single run like Ignatz and Lindharth Imo the ones that always seemlessly grow into unstoppable powerhouses are Petra, she always seems to get good bonuses, is naturally hard to hit, with high sword lv and the dancer avo boost and the right batallion buff she is virtually untouchable and can run amok with her high movement rate and dmg. Ingrid is a late bloomer but she is absolutely dumb when you build her right and can easily outshine anyone. Smack an avo ring on her, get her the ability that raises her avo by a ton when put on wait, station her near a bunch of enemies and watch her mow them all down. You can also give her the dancer buff just because why not. The fact that she can glide across maps and obliterate entire armies singlehandedly makes her an S+ to me, even above Petra. Yuri is a solid A+ in my book because he has natural high avo and he transitions easily into trickster. As tricks, he has good movement, good damage and very solid support tools so he is useful in pretty much any army composition. Hapy is effectively busted. high res high dex, high mobility and range. She can get smoked by some units but her movement rate as Valk fixes much of that. I have built Felix as both assa and Mortal Savant and his mortal savant iteration with his relic shield is pretty much invencible and theres no enemie he cant chew through while being absurdly tanky at the same time.
Every BE girl is at the Top list. Except Dorothea. I shouldn‘t think that but my thoughts are "i‘m not surprised" and "of course Dorothea isn‘t there". That dude from reddit and gamefaqs was maybe right…Dorothea is the least popular BE female, she‘s hated and not popular and gets worse after the timeskip while every other character gets better 😢 The disrespect towards Dorothea is just sad

Don't rely on this list too much. Since the stat growth are based on %, so there's still high chance that top tier units will step down and low tier or mid tier will rise. Just use whovever you like and have good growth during playing and keep the main classmates leveled up a bit because there will be a stage in part 2 you will be forced to use them. Except for Lysithea and Petra are super strong and you never go wrong with the 2 girls, they are very easy to build.
Also it looks like he is vague and lacks some experience what threw me off although stupid and minor is that he said that Ferdinand had no sacred weapon.
@khoaha6095 you wrong on some factors, a lot of what makes a good unit is not in growths but unique traits like spell list, proficiencies, skills, and combat arts. Class bases are a thing so a unit will always be a baseline amount of good and there are ways to reach benchmarks though things like meals, graden grinding, battalions. Ignutz is a great unit especially in house because of his innate hit +20 skill which is vital to his value in maddening. Bernie is a one of the best cavs/peg knights in the game due to her lance combat arts. Dimitri can have a easy set up vantage warth combo.
For the most part I agree with the listings, but you have severely underestimated Manuela. She can immediately be reclassified into trickster upon getting her and it turns her into one of the most well-rounded units in the game that can plug any hole your party may need.
I never played with the DLC but from my view point: Solid list. The only true mistake was not making Claude a tier above God. That and not listing Lysithea as the 2nd best char... Seriously, between warp, flexibility, +1 range, and just deleting anything that she chooses... Oh and an Exp bonus. My biggest issue with her, even on harder difficulties, was trying not to use her so she just wouldnt out-level content and waste exp. Hot takes: Dedue: mid Upper mid tier. Simply put Dimitri does a similar role but with a lot more speed/mobility. Has no speed, res, and not great accuracy. Still, amazing as a physical tank. Hubert: Low Mid tier. Girls are just better in the backline. Whose slot is he going to take? Girls from Petra and Lione to all the casters, the girls are just better DPS or far more flexible/useful. Linhardt: mid mid tier. Same issue as Hubert, but Linhardt is one of two characters with warp, and you can do some shenanigans with it. However, that other character with warp is Lysithea, and she even gets it a tier sooner with higher magic growths. Dorothea: High top tier: Simply put, even if she wasnt a dancer, she is the only decent mage with an ultra long range spell and has physic on top of it. She can support multiple prongs of attack from anywhere on the map. She isnt the best DPS, Healer, or tank but she is the queen of the most good options in a move.
Balthus should go for mid tier, he's insane with Grappler or War Master class. Felix makes a better fist fighter than Balthie but sometimes i found that Felix is so squishy, despite he has absurd strenth and speed growth but my Felix rarely raises his defense and resist. Balthus has better defense amd resist so he can be made a tank. Fist fighters in this game are so insane with high strength characters. Yuri can go for top tier due to his super speed growth and he makes a great evasive tank. Assassin and Trickster are both great for him but i think he's born to be a Trickster and no one is better than him. If you makes him a Dancer, get Sword Avoid +20, he's pretty much invicible. Mercedes is truly the best pure healer due to her Fortify and she also accesses to Gremory class. Linhardt is the best support healer due to his Warp. Though Linhardt can be Holy Knight but the class doesn't get White Mag x2 compared to Bishop but Bishop has only 4 movements. I think they are on par. And Mercedes is the best waifu ever. :))
Just started the game on hard mode, completely new to the series, so in my uninformed opinion this whole video is completey wrong except for the husbando list.
I think Felix or Ashe as an assassin could absolutely dominate the battlefield. The class requires sword and bow, while Ashe excells at bows, Felix Excells at both, creating a super fast unit who could double or even quadruple most enemies. Plus it could help Ashe get more strength growths while still being able to use bows.

You throw him at the enemy and the enemy dies. Actually you don’t even need to do that much on some sets, they run to their deaths.

Hapi is conciderably outmatched in her magic stat by other magic units. She relies on her spell list and some other extras to make her great.

few counters, manuela comes with warp, warp is a really good spell to have on maps and that's her main big niche and it does make a her pretty decent, Bernadetta is actually way better with lances then bows, she can learn the skill veangeance which does exactly the same things as it does in awakening and it does a lot of heavy damage. the worst characters in the game is either ashe or mercedes they don't really add much in the long run, mercedes lacks warp and can only heal something that can be made obsolete with other mage characters and ashe's perf skill can be see as not actually having one his growths and stats don't have much to come by either
Marianne is pretty much inmortal with the servitude ability, however she has some advantages in healing compared to others like Lysithea, whom I would never consider nothing than the best using warp and attacking with black magic. 😊😊

I would suggest keeping Manuela and hanneman on team just long enough for their full support because their interactions is really funny.

here to defend jeritza: the fact you don't elaborate on WHY he is in lower tier just shows you haven't actually played with him. dude can literally solo the timeskip half of the crimson flower route if he's built properly, just like how dimitri can pretty much solo azure moon. i always used him in my cf playthroughs and every single time he's been busted. his personal talent literally gives +20 hit so it makes up for his bad dex stat. apart from male byleth, hes the only male character to learn darting blow, his personal class is overpowered and when mastered, he gets counterattack so its possible for him to just wipe out anything in both enemy and player phase. plus, counterattack on him is ridiculously overpowered, i've had times where he's near death but counterattack literally stops anything from wiping him out. pair that with vantage and he's literally never dying.
jeritza has a budding talent in flying which is even better as crimson flower is super unfriendly for cavalry units, meaning you can just make him a wyvern and he's still gonna be as great as he is as cavalier. he is a beast of a unit and is well known for being S tier because of his excellent stat growths, personal class and learnable skills + he's level 27 when you get him, he's sometimes seen as A tier because of his accessibility- hes locked behind crimson flower. he was pretty much MADE with maddening mode in mind and its very very clear you benched him the moment you got onto cf. he's easily one of the best units in the game since he makes up for the church units you lose and he barely needs any investment to be broken.
also maybe you should actually play the game before making tier lists because a lot of these placements are straight up wrong, please look into both the crests and the relics, this tier list is NOT good advice for new players and also learn the pronunciation of the characters names! the game literally has voice acting!
*sees Raphael on the S*it Tier*...did we play the same game? Raphael was busted as hell, his growth was ridiculous and he was the first party member capable of taking 0 damage with little effort. Plus his skills in brawling are second to none. He was one of my most powerful units. Only bad thing was his magic resistance being awful and his movement.

what you did not mention about lysithia is her insane warb range. you dont need to speedrun or ltc to use this. almost every map is kill boss this makes warb even more insane then in most games. coupled wiht strife and flying movement almost any location of the map can be reached within the first turn of a map.
also chathin is a bit to low here ealry aviabily while beeing gifted with swordmasters stats makes her your best combat unite for a few chapters.
you could argue about edelgard beeing better then calud but thats just a question of how good are you. in perfect play edelgards legendary weapon is suprior but if you just play casually clauds insane movment and speed is suprior.

Everyone talks a lot about felix but maybe i had bad luck in the growth rates cause he is kinda mid in my hard playthrough. He is a swordmaster but gets hit so many times and normally doesn't kill enemies in 1 go.
Putting Bernadetta that low because of her personal skill is honestly idiotic. Yes, it needs her to be damaged for it to work, but if you play around it, Bernadetta becomes one of, if not the most broken archer/cavalier in the game. Before you say “but you need to play around it!” Shut up. This is a strategy game.
Meanwhile I'm over here just putting people in classes I think make them look coolest and stand out from each other 🧍♂️
I was wondering how Petra and Dimitri didn't make it to God tier, then I saw who were up there and yeah its understandable
Idk, after replaying the game a bunch of times i found some characters that habe previously sucked in previous runs, hard carrying me in others.
Some characters (non house leaders) seem blessed by RNG and destined to rock no matter what, like Hilda and Petra, while others seem to get stiffled by RNG on every single run like Ignatz and Lindharth
Imo the ones that always seemlessly grow into unstoppable powerhouses are Petra, she always seems to get good bonuses, is naturally hard to hit, with high sword lv and the dancer avo boost and the right batallion buff she is virtually untouchable and can run amok with her high movement rate and dmg.
Ingrid is a late bloomer but she is absolutely dumb when you build her right and can easily outshine anyone. Smack an avo ring on her, get her the ability that raises her avo by a ton when put on wait, station her near a bunch of enemies and watch her mow them all down. You can also give her the dancer buff just because why not. The fact that she can glide across maps and obliterate entire armies singlehandedly makes her an S+ to me, even above Petra.
Yuri is a solid A+ in my book because he has natural high avo and he transitions easily into trickster. As tricks, he has good movement, good damage and very solid support tools so he is useful in pretty much any army composition.
Hapy is effectively busted. high res high dex, high mobility and range. She can get smoked by some units but her movement rate as Valk fixes much of that.
I have built Felix as both assa and Mortal Savant and his mortal savant iteration with his relic shield is pretty much invencible and theres no enemie he cant chew through while being absurdly tanky at the same time.

Recently started playing Three Houses, so this will be helpful!
Don't rely on this list too much. Since the stat growth are based on %, so there's still high chance that top tier units will step down and low tier or mid tier will rise. Just use whovever you like and have good growth during playing and keep the main classmates leveled up a bit because there will be a stage in part 2 you will be forced to use them. Except for Lysithea and Petra are super strong and you never go wrong with the 2 girls, they are very easy to build.
Also it looks like he is vague and lacks some experience what threw me off although stupid and minor is that he said that Ferdinand had no sacred weapon.
@khoaha6095 you wrong on some factors, a lot of what makes a good unit is not in growths but unique traits like spell list, proficiencies, skills, and combat arts. Class bases are a thing so a unit will always be a baseline amount of good and there are ways to reach benchmarks though things like meals, graden grinding, battalions. Ignutz is a great unit especially in house because of his innate hit +20 skill which is vital to his value in maddening. Bernie is a one of the best cavs/peg knights in the game due to her lance combat arts. Dimitri can have a easy set up vantage warth combo.
I think you miss the part where Hilda best at Wyner Lord cause God bless she was the MVP on most of the chapter in Golden Deer route

For the most part I agree with the listings, but you have severely underestimated Manuela. She can immediately be reclassified into trickster upon getting her and it turns her into one of the most well-rounded units in the game that can plug any hole your party may need.

I never played with the DLC but from my view point:
Solid list.
The only true mistake was not making Claude a tier above God.
That and not listing Lysithea as the 2nd best char... Seriously, between warp, flexibility, +1 range, and just deleting anything that she chooses... Oh and an Exp bonus. My biggest issue with her, even on harder difficulties, was trying not to use her so she just wouldnt out-level content and waste exp.
Hot takes:
Dedue: mid Upper mid tier. Simply put Dimitri does a similar role but with a lot more speed/mobility. Has no speed, res, and not great accuracy. Still, amazing as a physical tank.
Hubert: Low Mid tier. Girls are just better in the backline. Whose slot is he going to take? Girls from Petra and Lione to all the casters, the girls are just better DPS or far more flexible/useful.
Linhardt: mid mid tier. Same issue as Hubert, but Linhardt is one of two characters with warp, and you can do some shenanigans with it. However, that other character with warp is Lysithea, and she even gets it a tier sooner with higher magic growths.
Dorothea: High top tier: Simply put, even if she wasnt a dancer, she is the only decent mage with an ultra long range spell and has physic on top of it. She can support multiple prongs of attack from anywhere on the map. She isnt the best DPS, Healer, or tank but she is the queen of the most good options in a move.

Balthus should go for mid tier, he's insane with Grappler or War Master class. Felix makes a better fist fighter than Balthie but sometimes i found that Felix is so squishy, despite he has absurd strenth and speed growth but my Felix rarely raises his defense and resist. Balthus has better defense amd resist so he can be made a tank. Fist fighters in this game are so insane with high strength characters.
Yuri can go for top tier due to his super speed growth and he makes a great evasive tank. Assassin and Trickster are both great for him but i think he's born to be a Trickster and no one is better than him. If you makes him a Dancer, get Sword Avoid +20, he's pretty much invicible.
Mercedes is truly the best pure healer due to her Fortify and she also accesses to Gremory class. Linhardt is the best support healer due to his Warp. Though Linhardt can be Holy Knight but the class doesn't get White Mag x2 compared to Bishop but Bishop has only 4 movements. I think they are on par. And Mercedes is the best waifu ever. :))

I think Felix or Ashe as an assassin could absolutely dominate the battlefield. The class requires sword and bow, while Ashe excells at bows, Felix Excells at both, creating a super fast unit who could double or even quadruple most enemies. Plus it could help Ashe get more strength growths while still being able to use bows.
