Now THAT is how you seamlessly blend 2D and 3D animation.
The rotoscoping on the 3D animated characters give them a much more authentic feeling. It's so good, I wish studios would use it more but it'll probably cost a lot given it's very time consuming and tedious

I have a feeling that this deemo 2 goes even further into the past, the girl we see here is not alice, but instead could be her mother, or even grandmother.
What if "deemo" was not hans but rather, hans just took the form of deemo while inside that space between life and death.
If we compare all 3 games at once, deemo, voez and cytus, and if cytus is the one going towards the future, then deemo is the one going towards the past, while voez remains as the present.

This is so beautiful, the visuals give a very whimsical vibe, the music is like a gentle touch to the skin as if I was lifted from the air and began to fly, the animation is astonishing, like it were real...and the backgrounds! My Obvious Theory: This is not the same deemo but rather a manifestation of someone close to the girl. Deemo from the original was much taller and slender than this one who looks more like child, and the original Deemo had somewhat of a piano suit to indicate who she is but this one is made out of water which could be important

I want to believe that there's some sort of plan Rayark is putting in place; like telling stories of people who were saved by a mysterious entity.
Wasn't the first deemo the girl's brother? So each Deemo could be a manifestation of someone important to the main character.
Also the character in this trailer is not a boy, it's a girl according to the description of the video

Imagine if she were Sherry from Cytus II (looks quite a lot like her) after she passed away and Rayark is somehow making their own interconnected universe with their games.

@@coerloyal Judging by the trailers and announcements I think they're just focusing on this character, I doubt they'll try and do a Cytus 2 kind of thing where you have to buy different stories along with the original (I'd be dead broke if that happened)

Sooooo...the artwork looks like the old ghibli vibe, with a graveyard train station setting(from the teaser). And the concept is like weathering with you? cause they play the piano to stop the rain while Hina-chan prays for the sun. I wonder if they also play the piano to save the spirits? But the main question is.... why the girl is being pursued? (Thought she was a boy at first hahaha)
All right.....that's it! Let's save the tears for later guys. Looks like crying is definitely a must again this time.

@@shadekeigarblacksky a prequel would require them being connected. There is no reason 2 needs set in the same timeline or anything. As others have begun to speculate already, Deemo may just be a kind of spirit or something similar so this one could be a different being and thus mean a new world.

hmm intersting take on the name "Deemo" i was wondering on why they named it as it is.
from the looks of it in the video Deemo isn't one person but rather a sort of spirit of embodiment of another person. now someone from the comments already stated this obvious fact that this Deemo isn't Hans.
My Theory: Deemo or rather Deemos are Spirits/Guides for those who are in a near death situation. Deemos help kids to return back to the living helping them and making them realized it's not their time but also help them realize that they can live a good life. if Alice just woke without her realizing how important the life that was saved by her brother she would just remain a train wreck of child deep in depression. In order for Deemos to effeciently help these kids Deemos aren't just any spirits but souls of someone important to them. Because who better understand them and can help them than someone they hold dear in their heart.
saying it like this seems like there's someone operating these Deemos. MAAYbe the old man playing the piano could be someone that is behind this.
I would like to believe that the old man is some one that is important to the girl. and that the cap Deemo gave is something that connects them both like Alice and her plushie. But the color of the cap deemo gave is of different color. Although it's of brownish color what the old man had is more of a darksh color as compared to the one Deemo had.
Maybe Rayark is slowing building a universe about Deemos.
How relevant is what I'm saying to the story. Most likely it isn't really relevant but It would be interesting to see a Ghibli like universe but with deemo and kids and their brothers getting into accidents

Cutscenes are very different from full fledged movies or series'. Be careful what you wish for. Remember the horror that was FFVII Advent Children : P.

i think it is an anime studio due to the style and how Japanese is the main dub voice of their game
and only japanese could work out 3d, real life shot with 2d animation this way (ofc if they have time)
3d cgi have been something Japanese great at ever since the Final Fantasy Advent Children happen and mixing since well Ufotable exist
