제가 기타 전문점 과 전문 리페어샵을 같이 합니다. 성음 크래프터가 그 역사 와 인기 만큼 엄청나게 팔려 나갔는데도 수리의뢰가 적습니다. 그만큼 기타 제작의 기본에 충실하게 아주 잘만들었단거죠 또한 제가 성음 크래프터 대리점도 같이 하는데... 동가격에서 성음 크래프터의 마감과 인레이 디자인을 따라갈 기타는 없습니다. ( 사운드 역시 좋치만.. 사운드는 어느정도 개인의 취향도 있기에 성음이 좋다 콜트가 좋다 라고 하기는 그래서 객관적으로만 말씀드립니다.) 6년간 성음 크래프터의 대리점을 해본 결과... 성음이란 회사는 장인의 정신이 있습니다 . 단지 매출만을 올리려고 하는 회사가 아닌 기본에 아주 충실한 장인 회사

I've been playing guitar for about 50 years. I've owned several very high end acoustics, all gone now. I'm just waiting for delivery of a Canadian designed guitar which has been built in China. All of the information that I've gathered, and all of the excellent reviews, have made me confident that I'll be more than satisfied with the finished product. That confidence has been reinforced after having watched this excellent video. Hopefully my guitar has been built with the same attention to detail, and precision, as I have seen here. After building for the last 20 years and working on guitars for 40 years THAT is the way guitars should be made. Very nice and a lot and skilled hand work.
This makes me appreciate my work more. We've got 4 of us building guitars at my work and it can be tough work, but I love being able to put love into each guitar and not just pump them out like they mean nothing.
Korea has some of the most skilled luthiers, producing some of the finest instruments in the world. I personally have sought out Korean made guitars from certain factories because they simply are one of the best options, and I have a few that absolutely are hands down better than my American made guitars.
@@MrCoffeekelly I take it you've never played a Koean-made guitar. I have one which was made in the '70s which blows away any American made guitar in its class.
@@MrCoffeekelly they are as much luthiers as modern day Martin. Yea its not all handmade, but there's no time for that, and at these production levels machines are far better than human hands at certain things. I have 2 guitars i built myself.

가지고 싶네요 아버지가 예전에 치시던게 생각나서 나도 아버지 처럼 연주해보고 싶다 처음 배우겠다고 크래프터로 샀었는데 연습은 못하고 사업이 점점 기울어져 와이프가 저렴하게 중고시장에 팔아버렸는데 너무 후회가 되네요 저렇게 손이 많이 가는군요 음악을 배우는 사람이나 만드는 사람들이 참 멋지네요

What? Each station is a CNC Mechanized Laser-cut Operation. They are far from HandCrafting these. The finish, fretting and Wood selection Guys are genius, most everyone Else is just a Glue, Press, Repeat process.
I don't play a guitar at all and I have absolutely zero instrumental talent, knowledge of any kind but.... Working in construction my entire life I really appreciate the amount of skill and talent it takes by so many to make that beautiful guitar. Nice job by everyone. Well Done. 👍
If this is what it takes to craft a guitar, i will love my 20 year old guitar all the more. It was awesome to watch slow but sure steps by the crafters.
The new trend seems to be manufacturing guitars in Indonesia but I miss the days of Korean imports - Indonesia makes a pretty nice guitar but the Korean ones were definitely more attention to detail and much better wiring
Agreed. I know its a cost cutting measure, but we were paying more for Korean made because they were becoming higher skilled, so I know ibanez went to Indonesia to save money. Those luthiers have a long way to go before they are as good, and when they are prices will go up, and they'll move production again.
It is what it is - a way to bring guitars to the masses, without them having to pay a premium for entirely hand crafted guitars. Without this intervention, it would be a barrier to entry for millions of guitarists. It can get them started. But the one thing that is missing ... love.
There was an old music shop in my town where I grew up that sold Crafter guitars. I had always dismissed them since I wasn’t familiar with the name brand. Until I heard their sound. They really take pride in making these guitars with very good materials. Nice guitars for sure.

I had a crafter for years and swapped it for a drum kit for my studio...after watching this I wish I'd kept it.. it was a great electro accoustic...looking for a new jazz guitar now..crafter have made some lovely ones...didn't see that much hand work in the gibson factory...

Just bought a second hand Crafter DGXE-ROSE Dragon MAHO-PLUS 42e anniversaire 2 days ago and I was really amazed on how it sounds, I have several great acoustic guitars like, Martin, Guild and Taylor but Crafter is something special as well, the craftsmanship is amazing, a good quality guitar, a bit pricey but fair and reasonable I guess - so happy to have one!
Crafter marka semi akustik bir gitarim var. Yaklaşık 13 seneden beri kullanmaktayım. Bu gitarda o denli memnun kaldım ki, geçtiğimiz aylarda Crafter firmasına teşekkür maili attım. Ve geri dönüş de yaptılar.
85년도 중딩 때 구입한 클래식기타, 대학 졸업하고 회사 들어가 얼마 후에 구입한 어쿠스틱 기타 그리고 작년 펀딩으로 구입한 미니 어쿠스틱 기타까지 세대의 기타를 가끔씩 꺼내 연주하면 아직도 좋은 소리를 내 줍니다. 오래전부터 한분한분 장인 정신으로 가타를 만들고 있다는 것을 알았지요. 중간에 콜트 데임도 경험했지만 뭐랄까 성음가타는 오래된 노포 식당에서 맛있게 흘러나오는 맛있는 음식 냄새 같지만 콜트나 데임은 아무 냄새가 나지 않는 깨끗한 프렌차이즈 식당 같은 느낌.. 수년에서 수십년 저 자리를 지키면 악기 하나만을 만들어 오신 분들께 존경의 표현을 하고 싶습니다. 마지막으로 저는 베이시스트입니다 ㅎ
А Страдивари делал всё сам, от начала до конца, простыми инструментами. Пусть не гитары, но процесс тот же. А тут конвейер, нет в них души Мастера. Они наверняка очень хорошо звучат, не спорю. Но всë же.... Но я всё равно с удовольствием купил бы себе такую, если б позволяли финансы. Смотрю и облизываюсь...

After years of checking acoustic guitars in shops I have found that in higher price classes Gibsons are on top,( but this is a matter of taste) and Guilds too.When it comes to midprice to low priced guoitars Crafter always stand out, and now I understand why, after seeing this video. I liked lots of this build process except for gluing onto the lacquer. I have found in my years of offering guitar repair that when gluing to lacquer, that is usually the part that fails and needs the bridge or fretboard glued back on to raw wood.
That's why they strip down lacquer before they glue sth on to it? Surely it could be done much precisely, but here that part of bulid looks not bad at all actually
An easier way surely is to use a sticker template of the bridge before lacquer is applied then remove sticker template to apply bridge onto the raw wood
Wonderful video! Always wanted to know the processes involved and to see the stages of craftspersonship is enlightening. These look like very high-end guitars and the brandname says the rest! Beautifully crafted!
No, I own one. It's a cheap mass produced item and doesn't sound good. The case is worth more than the guitar. This video proves that there's little to no artistry or hand craftsmanship involved.
High end? LOL! No high end guitar is mass produced in less than a day using a bunch of machines doing the majority of the work! It takes a good luthier sometimes WEEKS to make one of these by hand. This is why they cost so much!

Just bought my first crafter and I love it. The quality is as good as any any I've owned. And I have Gibson, fender and many off brands.

It is what it is - a way to bring guitars to the masses, without them having to pay a premium for entirely hand crafted guitars.
Without this intervention, it would be a barrier to entry for millions of guitarists.
It can get them started.
But the one thing that is missing ... love.

There was an old music shop in my town where I grew up that sold Crafter guitars. I had always dismissed them since I wasn’t familiar with the name brand. Until I heard their sound. They really take pride in making these guitars with very good materials. Nice guitars for sure.

I had a crafter for years and swapped it for a drum kit for my studio...after watching this I wish I'd kept it.. it was a great electro accoustic...looking for a new jazz guitar now..crafter have made some lovely ones...didn't see that much hand work in the gibson factory...

Just bought a second hand Crafter DGXE-ROSE Dragon MAHO-PLUS 42e anniversaire 2 days ago and I was really amazed on how it sounds, I have several great acoustic guitars like, Martin, Guild and Taylor but Crafter is something special as well, the craftsmanship is amazing, a good quality guitar, a bit pricey but fair and reasonable I guess - so happy to have one!

85년도 중딩 때 구입한 클래식기타, 대학 졸업하고 회사 들어가 얼마 후에 구입한 어쿠스틱 기타 그리고 작년 펀딩으로 구입한 미니 어쿠스틱 기타까지 세대의 기타를 가끔씩 꺼내 연주하면 아직도 좋은 소리를 내 줍니다. 오래전부터 한분한분 장인 정신으로 가타를 만들고 있다는 것을 알았지요.
중간에 콜트 데임도 경험했지만 뭐랄까 성음가타는 오래된 노포 식당에서 맛있게 흘러나오는 맛있는 음식 냄새 같지만 콜트나 데임은 아무 냄새가 나지 않는 깨끗한 프렌차이즈 식당 같은 느낌..
수년에서 수십년 저 자리를 지키면 악기 하나만을 만들어 오신 분들께 존경의 표현을 하고 싶습니다.
마지막으로 저는 베이시스트입니다 ㅎ

А Страдивари делал всё сам, от начала до конца, простыми инструментами. Пусть не гитары, но процесс тот же. А тут конвейер, нет в них души Мастера. Они наверняка очень хорошо звучат, не спорю. Но всë же.... Но я всё равно с удовольствием купил бы себе такую, если б позволяли финансы. Смотрю и облизываюсь...

After years of checking acoustic guitars in shops I have found that in higher price classes Gibsons are on top,( but this is a matter of taste) and Guilds too.When it comes to midprice to low priced guoitars Crafter always stand out, and now I understand why, after seeing this video. Thanks for sharing a good (!!)) video.
I grew up in the 70s and used to hear people talk alot more about Gibsons. They still are beautifully acoustic

Здесь уже не тот крафтер. У меня тоже 12 струнная, D8-12N, На голове все как надо, надпись перламутр, а здесь наклейка

I liked lots of this build process except for gluing onto the lacquer. I have found in my years of offering guitar repair that when gluing to lacquer, that is usually the part that fails and needs the bridge or fretboard glued back on to raw wood.
That's why they strip down lacquer before they glue sth on to it?
Surely it could be done much precisely, but here that part of bulid looks not bad at all actually
The way they've done it is the same as most luthiers today. Once the lacquer's been scraped away, it's virtually wood to wood contact.
Maybe you didn't notice. The lacquer was removed before gluing.
An easier way surely is to use a sticker template of the bridge before lacquer is applied then remove sticker template to apply bridge onto the raw wood

These look like very high-end guitars and the brandname says the rest! Beautifully crafted!
No, I own one. It's a cheap mass produced item and doesn't sound good. The case is worth more than the guitar. This video proves that there's little to no artistry or hand craftsmanship involved.
High end? LOL! No high end guitar is mass produced in less than a day using a bunch of machines doing the majority of the work! It takes a good luthier sometimes WEEKS to make one of these by hand. This is why they cost so much!
