I’ve lived in South Korea for almost 20 years, taught in some of the top universities, played guitar, and banjo in a “Live Cafe” here in Daejeon and have learned to admire the dedication of these Koreans to perfection. It is apart of their culture to take great pride in their jobs and education. This factory is an excellent example of efficient design and pride in one’s job. I have always been a Martin guitar man but do play Crofter Guitars and one can hear the precision and skill embedded into each instrument. I am proud to have been the professor at KAIST teaching the craft of design for these wonderful students. I now have past students spread all over the world doing what they do best, putting all their energy into making the world a better place for all.
Dedication to perfection? Bro, they are using lasers to cut wood and machines to do all the work.. if you want to see perfection go to a luthier workshop

I was looking for a starter acoustic for my son some years ago, when I came across a Crafter. I'd never heard of them, but was astonished by their quality for such an inexpensive guitar. And not just the build quality but the tone it produced too. Great to see them being made.
I've had the good fortune to build a number of guitars. Anyone wishing to build one, or understand how they are built only needs to watch this video. It is literally the definition of the step you take from start to finish. Yes, there are some machine interventions, like vacuum vs go-bars or spool clamps, and a mechanical press vs spanish tourniquet for joining tops, etc., but it's all there. All of it.
I took violin building class it was a learner, the kit came from China. , the work ethic of our Asia neighbors manufacturing instruments for our human enjoyment is wonderful. i have hardanger fiddle made in China, magical .
Seeing our elders at work in a stage of the production is very heart warming. Respect to the company for realizing the value of our mom's and dad's and keeping them busy with their hands. 👍

i have a south korean guitar i bought in the early 1990s. i paid about 450 dollars for it brand new and it came with a hardshell case. it has the abalone shell on the fretboard, rosette and around the soundboard. i play the guitar daily and NEVER had any issues with it. it still looks the same as when i bought it, not a scratch on it. when other players see it, they are always commenting on the sound and the beauty of the guitar.

Highly doubt that.. these people are more of an assembly line and not luthiers. I would recommend watching rob scallons video on building an acoustic guitar to see what a quality product looks like.
@@whyguy3651 Yeah, these seem more like overpriced beginner guitars. I doubt they're made all that precisely (even with all the standardized templates). Even a millimeter of fault at one end can magnify several folds on the other end.

Wow.....what an amazing video. I was on the edge of my seat this entire time. There is a lot to say about hand made instruments, but to produce each one with the same exact metrics is over the top for quality. Kudos to this Korean team.

I've always admired a guitar Player, now I admire the people that made the guitar even more than the player! How incredible. I bought a guitar in Korea while on a short detail (in Pusan?)while in the Marine Corps! I've treasured that guitar since 1991! Still in great shape!
I have an older Korean made Alvarez guitar that is the nicest looking and sounding guitar I've ever felt, played, and heard. My luthier Tom Dobrovich did the set up and minor crack repair. He said that it is of superior hand made craftsmanship.
I loved watching the construction of the guitars, fascinating. The process is amazing and complex, so much work is involved, you're very skilled. I've recently purchased 5 guitars in the past two years, 4 electric and 1 acoustic guitars. I'm trying to learn and I will learn how to play even if it kills me, I'm bound and determined to play guitar before I leave this world. Thank you for the fun video!

Absolutely beautiful and persistent craftsmanship throughout the process. Everyone was specifically focused on their job and it was refreshing to not hear crazy loud music and individual attitudes being displayed. I have always admired these companies that are there to do one thing, thank you for this video documentary.
Completely agree with the attention to the ability to focus on your job (I personally absolutely dislike blaring radio's in my vicinity...), but I'm not sure these people have much of a choice. I respect them greatly for the products, though! All I can hope is that they're happy.

Those thoughts never entered my mind, I was totally focused on the attention to detail that these sweet individuals were Giving to their task at hand. I enjoy the fact that they were completely focused and that there were no distractions are things going on like loud music and horseplay. And I agree, I truly hope all these wonderful people are enjoying a happy and prosperous life. They are creating such beautiful instruments for everyone around the world to appreciate and enjoy. Their craftsmanship should never be discounted are taken for granted.

What a fascinating process, what great skill these Folks have, absolutely amazing, thanks so very much for this, and my only other comment is what a shame the background music was not being played on one or more of these lovely instruments!
I am a luthier hobbyist, and I found this fascinating. I usually follow the tutelage of a more hands on approach. This video showed me that a fine instrument can be mass produced. Granted, I still believe some of the process of building is better left to the old methods, I definitely see an advantage to more modern techniques.

Handmade? Most of this was made by machine! There’s plenty of builders on RUclips that show how a real handmade are created!

I am a luthier hobbyist, and I found this fascinating. I usually follow the tutelage of a more hands on approach. This video showed me that a fine instrument can be mass produced. Granted, I still believe some of the process of building is better left to the old methods, I definitely see an advantage to more modern techniques.

C'est fascinant j'ai l'impression que la fabrication d'un objet précieux La musique est très belle on est bercé par de l'amour du début jusqu'à la fin j ai presque envie de prendre la guitare et la serrer dans mes bras Tellement de finesse et de précision dans le travail qu'un robot ne saurait en faire autant bravo ça me donne envie de fabriquer ma propre guitare mais la mienne je ne la changera pour rien au monde merci
