@6:40 what you are looking at is a Mack Rail Car, made by Mack Trucks (the 'M' emblem). The front look very similar to the Mack Trucks of the 1910-1920's
The Amtrak Electric at the beginning is a AEM-7 locomotive otherwise know as the “Toaster” from there boxy shape. I’m pretty sure it also was apart of the farewell run to the AEM-7’s on Amtrak. The GG1 at the beginning was actually the first one built numbered PRR 4800 and is nicknamed “Old Rivets” due to it being the only GG1 with a riveted body. And is also the only one to have worn Conrail blue as all the other Conrail GG1’s were patches of Penn Central locos.
Chilly day but that was a beautiful sky! So cool to see all the old train cars and locomotives. You have the best descriptions for some of those cars. The rusty caboose (there is a bar in Minneapolis called the Cabooze lol) and the train full of zombies like the Walking Dead! lol Awesome video Matt, thank you!
I'm not trying to be ugly but if you spend a few bucks you can get a guide book to the displays so you can describe and appreciate some of these wonderful exhibits.
That train is queen of Stream 4:56 Also that train right there is PRR M1b Mountain 14:39 14:26 that’s only common steam train in Pennsylvania in steam age is called K4 pacifics
@@mattPG78 Thanks. It was the weekend so I could just stay home. The power went out once but not for long. I slept w the the pets 🐶🐱 The pipes going wasnt a surprise.
I actually have a BLI 611 in HO I think the tether might be damaged a bit and may need a little bit of maintenance but other than that its in great cosmetic shape since you mentioned you want one.

Oh that's cool, thanks for the info!
Great video!!! Love that you got footage of my “Adopt A Train” plaque on the PRR Horse Express car!!
Thank you!
I saw the 611 at the Roanoke, transportation museum way back in 2019
Glad to see your video. Your thumbnail is just the engine I need to look at.
Thank you 😊

That's awesome information! Thank you! How cool would it be to have a model train of 4800 in Conrail Blue
I visited back in August 2022. While I sadly never saw 611 yet, I did see her tool car and aux tender.

Thanks Gayle! I try to have fun no matter where I go. It was a stunning day to say the least.
Now the Reading & Northern really need to acquire Lehigh Valley RDC 40, Reading Crusader Observation, Amtrak Coach and Maryland & Pennsylvania 81.
8:20 Fun fact, strasburgs 90, 475, &7312 aka 31 are all baldwin locomotives
Steam trains make me think of the tv show Wild Wild West.
What was the 611 doing at a museum in Pennsylvania? I thought she lived in Virginia. Just curious, I'm out of the loop on it.
That I'm not sure. I thought it went back to VA as well.
The 611 will only be on display until late Spring 2023 and the 611 crew is planning this year’s operating season for 611. Stay tuned.
@@TranscontinentalRailfan oh cool! Good to know.
This is an awesome video 611 was just in service a while ago when did hey pull it from service

6:51 is known as a rail bus, from what I heard it was originally used at strasburg with a yellow paint scheme.
That's cool. I was kind of think that but couldn't quite put my finger on it.
Thought it was a galloping goose
@@captainkrazee7726 It's a Mack Model AC railbus.
@@mattPG78 what's the future for Railbus 21?

What kind of camera do you use for filming?
This was filmed with the DJI Action 3. There is a link to it in the video's description section.

Sounds like Maine
:) the first weekend of the month was -45° windchill & busted pipes.
That Wed 40°
Yikes, closest thing I've ever been to -45 was when I was in Iceland back in January of 1999. That's some serious cold 🥶

It's going to be a while yet before I buy a new locomotive. I'm still on the fence if I want to stay with N scale or go larger and do HO.
I know they ran when it came they ran 611 quite a bit what happened they have it parked in the museum
My mom loves 611
It's a beautiful locomotive.
Why is 1670 in such bad and deteriorated shape?
That I'm not sure
It’s currently under cosmetic restoration for the Ready for the Roundhouse project.
