    I grew up in Hardin County and definitely appreciate you covering this. I worked with a relative of Chris for a few years and was given inside information. Shannon absolutely told LE they had stolen from Bad Egg so he killed them. She claimed that he had put both of them in a barrel and dumped it somewhere around Olive Hill, a community outside of Savannah. Everything in Savannah is based on your last name. If you don’t have the correct last name, the law doesn’t make the necessary effort. There were rumors that Bad Egg and the sheriff at that time were in cahoots which was implied to be the reason progress was intentionally not made. Bad Egg may be dead now, but Sammy is still around, and while he’s not sheriff anymore, he’s still got a firm grip in the office

    • @dlbstl

      I hope your tip helps. You should call the tip number that Derrick gives us in the description. I guess Shannon was the relative?

      Please, if your comments are true, call in. Don't just post a comment and think you've done something. You need to report this officially. For all you know, the most smallest detail, can solve the whole thing. They just need that final thread to pull the story together. Cases can't seek justice without solid evidence.

    • @CindyMarie4211
      @CindyMarie4211 6 месяцев назад +6

      Yep! That last name comes in handy in Savannah. It’s disgusting. Sammy and Bad Egg go way back. Johnny has the title of Sheriff, but we all know Sammy is still pulling the strings around there.

    I just googled the population of Savannah. Only 7000ish. I'm blown away by the amount of murder cases/ killing for self defence per capita.
    I really hope some news comes soon. They were just kids. Thoughts to their families and friends. Thank you Derrick. Regards from the UK

  • @nancymoon-rush2888
    @nancymoon-rush2888 6 месяцев назад +23

    Regardless of the 2 missing kids...Ken (the "upstanding" business man) seems like a really bad dude who wasn't really ever held accountable for any of his actions. One would like to think that the TBI looked into him, but I'm not holding my breath. They can't even contact the moms. That is downright disrespectful in my book. I know someone knows something in this case. Even the news didn't cover it much. So very tragic on all fronts.

      My uncle was talking about how Bad Egg (I don’t know his real name) fed some kids to pigs. I was shocked and blurted out “Chris and Christina” and he looked at me like a deer caught in head lights and then left the house. To this day, I say that’s why happened to them. So when I found that he (Bad Egg) was killed by his wife, I took that as Chris and Christina getting justice. I just wish we knew what truly happened to them.

      @gallettiguitartones my little brother was actually killed by a drunk driver in this same town and they let him plead down to vehicular assault and only serve 45 of his 60 day sentence. Mind you, the kid was drunk, waited at the scene (with my brothers dead body) for 3 hours to sober up before calling anyone, when they pulled the cars info, it showed he was going around 75mph in a 45 zone in the pitch black night while it was raining and he fully admitted his tires were bald. This town literally doesn’t give a shit if your name isn’t one with money behind it.

    Deep down I think both are deceased either at the hands of Ed or someone worse than him, and an easy way from what I am hearing is to dispose bodies by feeding them to animals. I think these kids got mixed up with the wrong people and maybe these people told them how to make quick cash and they decided to try it out. I just feel sorry for them and their families.
    I really wish that they fled not only the state, but maybe the country. Maybe that white car they got into was someone helping them flee. Maybe the reason they haven't contacted their family is because they're still scared that the people trying to kill them will find out and hurt their family members or worse find out where they're hiding. If it was me and I have a tight bond with my mom, it would break my heart, but I would have to go contactless if it meant saving her life as well as mine.
    I hope someone steps up and says something because there's at least more than one person who knows what happened to this couple.

    Never heard this case before.... IT'S heartbreaking to not no if they are alive or deceased.... I'm not sure we will ever no...
    I feel for their families ❤️❤️❤️❤️ It's hard to just not no... Sending Mega prayers for their Mothers.... They will never stop looking ❤❤❤❤ And I completely understand how this just consumes their minds.
    God Bless all families that just don't get a resolution 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 IT'S devastating 😢

    I'd call TBI WAY before the local officials. Sorry, they cover way way too much shit up. Small town politics at it’s finest

    Omg...this was a whole anger-induced story. Such petty consequences for killing people. Ken is a danger and always was. He should still be rotting in jail, how can people let him off so many times?!

    I've practically begged everyone to cover the case of Barbara Jean Horn. Her mother is getting older and deserves answers. She was 4. She never got to grow up. Please, please cover her case.

    I’d like to see you, or you and Stephanie cover Mercedes Vega. It’s new but really needs a lot more attention I think. Kendall Rae covered it recently.

    This case was covered on 6/12/2020 by the Unfound podcast. Chris’ mom Cheryl was interviewed; Kristina’s mom Paulette was unable to participate. As Derrick said, most of the focus was on (Bad Egg) Eddie Baugus. Cheryl said Kristina was quiet living in her home & as I recall, Kristina wasn’t part of stealing things, but Chris was involved. Chris & Kristina were on their way to Chris’ bio dad’s & Chris was talking to him on the phone. Reception was lost & they never arrived at Chris’ dad’s. Cheryl found papers w/Bad Egg’s name on them re: child custody underneath Chris’ bed in a lockbox. I haven’t recently relistened to this Unfound podcast. I believe someone killed them, as opposed to Chris & Kristina running off.

    That plea deal sucked. At least second degree murder. The excuses sound flimsy. It should have gone to trial.

    I feel so bad for the moms. I can't imagine not knowing. As for the cops, Idc what they think, they need to do their jobs. I pray someone speaks up so the families can finally know what happened to their kids

    Such a sad story. I cannot imagine not know where my child was for eighteen plus years!!! And the fact that nothing regarding the couple has ever been found!! To me that just points to nothing good. My heart goes out to their parents and families.

    How is Ken getting away with these crimes? I don't know ANYONE who's murdered once, but Ken has twice. He was acquitted once and given a slap on the wrist for the other. Shannon kills Eddie and is also acquitted 😒 What the heck? This sounds like a bad movie. Let's not move there. It's like the wildwest JMO
    I hope Christina and Chris eventually are found so their parents won't have to wonder forever.

    It seems like many cases involve a second traumatic situation, I've seen many cases of a crime and then someone else within the family gets killed or Murdered. Has anyone else here seen similar outcomes?
