It seems that people intuition is pretty spot on in these types of situations. Unfortunately many people just shake it off and move on with the rest of their day.
That's me Husband is always telling me to mind my own business. I told him one day when I prevent a crime or I helped solve 1 you will say damn I guess you weren't wrong. Even if it's something minor as a burglary, car break-in, carjacking whatever. I am always the first one to call when there's an accident on the highway. The other day I called in an accident that was there for like 45 minutes and not one single 911 call came in. After I call the police were there in 5 minutes there was literally a five-car pileup and caused another accident because of that totally blocking off a portion of the highway, and they had two random men in the middle of the highway trying to direct traffic because the intersection red light went off and this is a busy damn Highway in New Jersey. All I'm saying is that I wish people were more watchful of their neighborhood, watching out for their fellow Neighbors. It's what I would want people to do for me if I needed it. I don't know I have mostly called 4 disabled vehicles on the road because I know that can be a dangerous situation. Also I will call the police if there is suspicious activity. After a string of crime on our block, cars getting broken into, and a carjacking in broad daylight. I called the cops on a group of older teenagers or even adults, riding bikes around and looking inside of cars. Luckily the police caught up to them and they were arrested. Let's just say the break-ins into cars stopped bc also u don't want to ring 911 for nothing. So I don't do it all the time but when it needs to be done or I feel something is suspicious I will call! I just never understood that mind your business mentality. Maybe that's because I wish somebody would have called on my stepfather when he was neglecting and abusing me. I wish somebody would have called when they heard my screams with my abusive ex, or the time that someone strong-armed me in Newark New Jersey in the middle of downtown by college campus, and the guy was trying to take my purse swinging me around because I would not let go, bc it was a very sturdy purse and I had it around my shoulder diagonally. What happened was I went to buy a small purchase with a 20 and I accidentally pulled out my billfold. I quickly stuffed it into a secret pocket. But this guy already saw it, and 10 secs later, he tried to get me, and I was fighting with him. People were just walking by, actually moving out of the way, as he swung me around in circles trying to pull the purse off of my body. Looking back fighting was stupid, but because it was broad daylight, and there was so many witnesses, I had a little hope that he was not going to kill me right then and there. However if there was a weapon brandished, or it was late at night, I would close my eyes, give them everything I had, and tell them I won't see your face and call the police please just let me go home to my family. Unfortunately a similar scene would play out like that in the future. But as far as the attempted strong-arm robbery, nobody was doing anything, the only thing that stopped him was a patrol car Road by., and scared him off but didn't stop. I just ran straight to my car and never looked back. I don't even carry a handbag ever out in public, or cash in the amount of more than $40, unless I am going into my car. The guy did eventually reachbinto the first pocket and pulled out a single $20 bill and old lotto ticket! After one more incident, mentioned above briefly, which was ten times worse so I will not put the details here... that was the worst, scariest time of my life. I believe I ran into a serial rapist, who could become a serious danger to society if he is allowed out, and that is definite. I now carry protection at all times. I have cameras set up and security systems in my car, in my home. I also always keep my phone tracker on, make sure my phone is always fully charged, always stay aware of my surroundings, never go down any streets that I am not familiar with or are poorly lit. And I definitely don't walk outside after dark unless it's to the corner store with my protection, and because it's so close to the home, my husband watches me from the window the entire time. Yeah I live in a bad neighborhood!
"Wow, she found out I'm cheating and is threatening divorce. You know what...the best way to solve this issue is to just murder my wife haha" I legitimately don't understand the reasoning behind this logic. These people aren't right in the head.
Technically ww don't know if he murdered his wife or not hes innocent until proven guilty! I remember this one video where everyone I think in Ireland thought this cop murdered a little girl and the whole town branded him guilty and treated him like shit and the police even did the same branding the man guilty without proof...only to find out it was this old pedophile down the street that abducted children and murdered them.
A friend of mine once said "If I don't show up for work, call the police." Less than a week later, she didn't show up for work. Sweetest person you would ever want to meet. The kind that always smiled, called the prayer line every lunch hour and just made a fabulous splash in your life. Her husband got away with it. We all knew but the police couldn't go on our word. He died from cancer 10 years later and 11 years too late.
Usually guys do get away with it and if caught up with are eventually released. My coworker was stabbed to death by a guy that killed twice already and he’s out now.
@@leannedoyle1149 It's a Christian show/radio/program phone number you can call to get a Christian on other side (answers) to pray together with you for whatever your concern is at the moment. It's free.
I think for people who kill because they're getting divorced it is more about power and control than image. They can't stand their spouse not being "theirs" so the divorcee feels better if the spouse is dead.
@@ZimtPorridge but why be that level of evilness when kids are born in the marriage? Wasn't he having an affair? That alone shows that he is an evil bastard wanting his cake but killing the other so no one else can have any either! •smfh•
Money plain and simple. Divorce laws in the US ruin men so they take chances on just hoping they get away with killing their wife instead of losing half their possessions and income.
If you search google street view where she was found it is pretty interesting. Google street view was taken after her disappearance and that is about all I will say.
What an alert individual, calling in about someone covering their face. We go about our day not paying attention most of the time but this guy was paying attention.
I have let one of Cheryl's friends know you made this video. I've been following this case since she disappeared. Thank you Mike, for covering it. We are all waiting for the arrest of a guy whose name rhymes with Phil or Philliam, because it's obvious who took her away from her family who loved her.
@Jimmy Bufferz I'm surprised he didn't sue them already for libel. The police went on the news telling the public that he's pretty much guilty but there's not enough evidence to arrest him. I mean I'm pretty sure he's guilty but what if there's that slim chance that he isn't guilty, his life would be ruined by that news conference. It supposed to be innocent until proven guilty not having to prove your innocence
If a woman says I’ll be in tomorrow if I’m not dead, that is an extremely loud cry for help. I’ve been there before, it’s terrifying. This poor lady didn’t deserve this at all 🥺🕊
@@philiptucker7590 youre making the point though, don't you see? We all exist on a gradiant of risk, and I'm going to argue that a guy doing strength training is at some significantly lesser amount of risk than, say, myself--a disabled, partially ambulatory wheelchair user who is a single mom with zero family of origin support. Additionally because my ex has a job which keeps him....lets say powerfully placed, I've lost a lot of local friend support also. I've only recently moved into my own place with our daughter--her dad is getting so ugly. When we were in the transition state between him knowing I was in the midst of a plan and us physically getting away, I had friends from literally all around the world who made a group chat. If I wasnt heard from every few hours by someone during quarantine, they had the numbers of local friends (the few who havent shunned me for lying about such a good man) who could drive over and physically check on me. Additionally, at least once a month my bestie and I would casually have a text conversation about my mental healh where I talked about how hopeful I felt and excited for the future. That way if it ever *appeared* that I had harmed myself, she had something to offer the cops as a counter-narrative--because there is no gatdamned way in seventeen consecutive heat deaths of the universe I would leave this child to be raised by that man. EVER. Period. So, we aren't exaaaaactly coming from the same place. 😉 For you it is a joke, and is really unlikely to ever rise above that--and that is great. I love that for you. But part of my regular adult responsibilities is leaving breadcrumbs for investigators in case my psycho ex murders me--not even for some nebulous sense of justice that i dont think is accessible to me, but for something far more practical. It's the only way I have to transfer custody to my best friend. I think we as a society have really, really failed those people in groups more likely to be at risk; and everyone says they support victims until its time to, you know, actually support them.
Agreed! There's a RUclipsr that was actually her friend and worked with her but for the life of me, I can't remember her name. She claimed Cheryls relationship with her husband was rocky at best. Cheryl was supposedly talking of divorce and when she went missing, her husband didn't help with any searches and lawyered up quite quickly. Again, this is what I remember that SHE claimed. It's sad this case is still open and Cheryl still hasn't gotten justice. I too believe the husband is 100% responsible.

My friend is Cheryl's sister-in-law. I have posted everything about this case since Cheryl went missing. I'm not Mike Coker's judge, but the truth will set him free if he killed her. He will not have to live with the torment nor will his girls any longer. Thanks for this update. Your information isn't anything new, but it brought out a bit more mystery to this case. We prayed for two years for closure, that is that Cheryl's remains would be found. Now I'm praying that the murderer will confess and go to prison for the rest of his life. He took an incredible woman from a family that loved her deeply.
Haha.. earlier when i was watching the new JCS vid and got a notification for this. I was stoked. And my already shitty day didn't seem that relevant anymore. Well, the culprit causing issues melted away into the ether.
I was raised right here in Riverside and knew Cheryl. Alot of houses had signs with Cheryl Strong in their yards when she went missing. Kroger where her car ended up was the grocery store myself and my daughter shopped at weekly. It's a shame that Kroger or Clancy tavern didn't have better camera footage. Sad day for us all when they found her body

*As of 2/20/2022 STILL no arrest and charges in this case. In the eyes of the law he is still innocent until proven guilty. In the eyes of even the blind, though, he's guilty as sin and nobody can believe charges haven't been brought.*
Ladies if you think something is up please don’t go there. Leave right away don’t wait around. Your first instinct is always correct. If you have a gut feeling go with it. I did and I’m still alive.

@@appiahallan Oh yeah, boss. In a lot of these crime stories where bodies are found deep in the woods, a good majority of the bodies are found by mushroom hunters. Or just regular hunters.
As a Steel Worker, the only time I reported injuries to my foreman, was if I needed medical attention. It's really not that uncommon not to report scrapes and bruises that happen on the job. That part of his story seems plausible. Still a lie, but it's plausible.
Yeah, agreed. If you work with your hands then its not normal to report 'injuries' unless they prevent you from working or need serious treatment. If the bleeding stops withina few hours and you can cover the wound with electrical tape and there's no major breaks(anything worse than a broken finger or a finger if it needs resetting or is too painful to perform your job)
I dated a steel worker who only told his boss about a beyond 3 degree burn (down to the bone and obviously requiring immediate attention. More like he screamed bloody murder in pain over actually reporting it.) My second job is lifting at a warehouse. Only time we report injuries is if there's uncontrollable bleeding or something where you're taking a squad ride to the hospital. One of our managers clearly broke his thumb. Splint it and got back to work. This dude is lying but unreported injury claims are common with that type of work.
we don't know that for sure, besides the 2 vids if it was him allegedly at the same day, the first guy it was hiding his face and waring pants and hoody, the other vid Will is walking normal and with shorts and T-shirt doesn't make any sense, we don't know what happened for sure
@@mouadbenhaddi7498 I doubt there will ever be enough evidence for us to know for sure. He most likely did it, but there are a couple of scenarios I can think of where it could have been someone else that isn't even on the radar. One thing is for sure, either these cops are very bad at their jobs, or he's very careful with what he does on the internet and where he goes with his phone. Seems like they would have searched to see if he googled "how to kill my wife and get away with it" as well as check his phone history to see where he was that day. It bothers me that with all the tracking that our phones do, that can't prove or disprove if he was at Kroger when her car was parked. Why can't they find any evidence?
No matter if I was innocent or not I wouldn't agree to take a polygraph either. There's a reason it's not allowed as evidence in courts. Most countries don't use them at all. Always bothers me when the police instantly treats anyone who refuses to take one as suspicious.
When they assume that the guy that passed is innocent and quit looking into him/her irks me!! Same with them getting tunnel vision when someone fails it. I think they should just steer clear of them! I know I will and I don't commit crimes, so I imagine I would be innocent but KNOW I will not take one.
Yep, I took a voluntary polygraph once (long story) won't ever do that shit again... It showed for example that I lied about what day it was but told truth on test questions I was told to lie about for a baseline.. 🖕🖕🖕

@@haggismuncher735 Murders have a ripple effect that are sometimes far reaching. Even relatively small effects, like the way you perceive your neighborhood, the way you feel when you drive past the victims home, or the effort spent in preventative measures like making sure your doors and windows are locked. A murder is about all of those who are effected by it. They can change entire communities, not just those closest to the victim.

Another case showing just how unreliable cameras are. Why get a motion activated camera when you can't even see who's coming until they're right next to it? Pointless.
Call me silly but I bet that particular camera is not meant to keep an eye on the parking lot...but rather on people entering or leaving one individual store. ...could be wrong, but...
@@peterconlon8234 my point is that if you can't see them coming til they're right at your door, then you can't prepare for the worst. Someone comes with intent to rob your store, you won't know until they're right there
@@modernmobster These kind of cameras at the entrances of the stores aren't there to directly prevent robberies. Do you think if the camera wasn't motion activated they would have someone watching the cameras all the time and be ready to run to the entrance to prevent someone suspicious from entering the store? No, lol. 99% of the time nobody is even watching, they just check the footage if they have to check something.
These hit different when it's happening only a 20 minute drive away from where you live, just a few miles from where you work, with a crime scene in an area that you've frequented more than once.
I live in this area. As of November 2021, there has still been no arrest for Cheryl's murder. The police have stated that it is still an open and active investigation.
He wasn't "hiding" the car. He was setting it up to make it look like she either "runnoft" or somebody abducted her in the parking lot. He knew that car would be found.
Sending prayers for her daughters, how absolutely horrifying to lose your mother to murder and not know whether or not it's your own father that may have killed her. My heart breaks for them.
@MzARavenLunatic depends on the state - in Ohio they can be admissible if all parties agree. There are some great examples of polygraphs and the lead up to a polygraph being used as an interrogation tactic on the channel JCS Criminal Psychology (the case of Chris Watts in particular, though he was definitely guilty). I think polygraphs are a damned if you do, damned if you don't situation. By the time they ask a suspect to take one, they've usually convinced themselves of the suspect's guilt, so they're gauging the reaction to the test more than anything. If you disagree, it makes you look guilty. If you agree, and you fail, that'll convince them beyond doubt you're guilty (regardless of any other circumstances). If you agree and pass, they can always say that the tests aren't 100% and ignore it entirely. While it may not be admissible, investigators could double down on a suspect and ignore any other leads after the polygraph. Either way, don't say anything before you consult a lawyer.
It really bugs me when these channels are trying to insinuate someone's guilt, and they go "So and so declined to take a polygraph" as if this is damning information or something. You might as well say "He declined to consult a psychic regarding his guilt" or "He refused to submit to a coin toss to determine his guilt".
When they asked him on the phone 'did you kill her' he said 'i've never hurt anyone in my life' instantly cough's after, thats a sign of a human telling a lie
I love how much information smart phones can give in solving crimes, they really are a game changer. Kudos to her daughter for finding her car before the police.
The car was meant to be found. It contained no evidence so there was no reason to dispose of it. I'm curious about what HIS smartphone had to say, such as where was he when the car was parked at Krogers?
True but even on this channel we watch and discuss innocent people going to jail for sying the wrong thing. It's the polygraph thing you pass your not a liar and if you fail your guilty and if you take it your some how innocent and if you dont take it your guilty and we know none of that is true and it's not aloud in court but they use it in public opinion. Saying nothing doesnt make you look good, but it also shouldn't make you look bad

Mike says Cheryl's body was found out in the open, not hidden, only 15 minutes from her home. He also shows video of an extensive search conducted after she vanished----they didn't search the area 15 minutes from her home? I know every missing person's case is different but you can't believe some of the oddities that pop up in these cases----so exactly where the hell DID they search?
I think they may have had some clue to search the area they’re in. That search was in Vandalia, OH which isn’t far from Riverside. Cant hit all the spots unfortunately.
I lived right down the street from where Caylee Anthony's body was found. You cannot believe the immense size of the search. Hundreds of volunteers for weeks. They found her body right off the main road leading to her small neighborhood. It was literally a 30 yards from the road in a small part of the woods. They found her body about 4 or 5 months after the search. No way that body was there to being with.
She wasn’t out in the open. He meant she wasn’t covered or buried. She was just dumped there. It was a wooded private property 15 minutes from her home and where she was there was trees/bushes. At the time there was no reason for police to even look there. Her phone didn’t go further than the Kroger parking lot so they were probably looking closer to home.
Any time I've ever personally known someone in an open relationship it's stinky, indeed - it's one person who doesn't see the jewel they've already got, and can't keep their hands and other parts off other people, AND the other person who agrees to drink the Kool-Aid just to stay in the relationship.

@@philiptucker7590 true, completely depends on the context

Then the icing on the cake is when you pass the test and the investigators then start with the "the test isn't 100% accurate".
Especially considering Gary Ridgeway (the Green River killer) passed his poly.
When they assume that the guy that passed is innocent and quit looking into him/her irks me!! Same with them getting tunnel vision when someone fails it. I think they should just steer clear of them! I know I will and I don't commit crimes, so I imagine I would be innocent but KNOW I will not take one.

I gotta say, even if I was innocent, I wouldn't take a polygraph
They really aren't that reliable or accurate.
It really bugs me when these channels are trying to insinuate someone's guilt, and they go "So and so declined to take a polygraph" as if this is damning information or something. You might as well say "He declined to consult a psychic regarding his guilt" or "He refused to submit to a coin toss to determine his guilt".
same. it can only hurt you. no good can come of it. they use it if you fail and say it’s inadmissible when you pass. total set-up
They should at least make the apparatus , look like a ....golden lasso ..... ..

His humor really gets me. Like the little smart ass remarks towards the goofy murders or suspects are just too funny and on point!
O shit I just realized ur last name is the same as mine😊
I love how much information smart phones can give in solving crimes, they really are a game changer. Kudos to her daughter for finding her car before the police.
The car was meant to be found. It contained no evidence so there was no reason to dispose of it.
I'm curious about what HIS smartphone had to say, such as where was he when the car was parked at Krogers?
He probably left it at home. If he hadn’t he would be in jail by now.
Truly a mystery, but the husband seems so guilty. His actions, or lack there of, are inappropriate to the situation.
That's not really a lot to go on, since they opted for an open marriage rather than a divorce. He had obviously checked out before the first affair.
Mike has been my go to for this quarantine. I legit get excited like a kid on Christmas when I see a new video😂

Oooo I'm so early. Always a channel I rush to see when I get a notification. Another case I hadnt heard of. Thats why I like this channel.....covers stories I havent heard of...and always well researched.
Thank you!
Me too.... Only been up 29 min.. Lol... I have to say I stumbled across your channel and then proceeded to binge watch all of them. After seeing your videos I checked out others like your channel. They dont hold a candle.. I think there's 2 others I bother to watch.. Criminally Listed and Scary Stories and Mysteries. Your stories move at a perfect pace and are extremely entertaining... I wish there was more. When bored i scroll through frantically looking for one i haven't seen... Lol.. Anyway keep up the good work.. PS... I still giggle everytime i hear you say "turd" or "turdy"
skywalker79sith you might want to check into Deadbug Says if you like true crime. His channel is graphic but I appreciate that he doesn’t sugar coat his content. His production value is unmatched. He used to create videos for a major network and he has media credentials which allow him to provide details often not mentioned in other videos covering the same crimes. His Patreon is freaking awesome too!

The changing of the shirts during the opening is very reminiscent of "Shed my skin." in the Sledgehammer video. (The Peter Gabriel song.)
I was 14 when that song came out. I wish I could Go back and redo the 80's all over again. Best time of my life!

Great song and vid
Back when PG was cute & had hair. Sigh.
Though the subjects Mike talk about are not a laughing matter yet he doesn’t take himself seriously. Love his show.

They only searched turteen minutes out.
What about my sweeties? I'm involved with both members of a married couple. They're lovely.
@@personzorz Ewwwww, just ewwwww.
@@personzorz weird and creepy
@@personzorz Please ignore the other 'responses'. You are not weird or creepy for being in a poly relationship, or however you want to describe it. If you are all happy, that is a beautiful thing imo.
If thats the case from the beginning of the relationship, then maybe.....but to “open it up” after being committed.....no. It will always go sideways eventually.
Thank you again for another fine presentation. I just love your jokes, pronunciations and colloquiallisms. You rock dude.
Mike from TC is the best!! He does his homework and research and puts together a story like no one else.
When he says "So they decided to have an open relationship" you already know there's about to be a murder.
78.4% of the time when a “couple” decides to have an open relationship/marriage it’s usually 1 person who wants to cheat and the other goes along with it so they don’t lose their partner. Not all are like that I’ve seen some where both legit wanna talk to other people 🤔 This dude took full advantage of that poor woman SMH 🤦🏼♂️ 😠
Yeah, the open marriage thing. It doesn't exist.

@@AwfulDog1 reminds me of kemper. "i never hit her. i killed her, but i didn't hit her"
Overly self-justifying - often a sign of misdirection and guilt
Mike add just the right amount of humor to make these stories digestible. The back ground music is perfect (not too distracting, adding to the story).

Does anyone else find it weird when the police announce who their suspect is? I mean, either you have enough evidence to arrest or you keep your mouth shut.
Hopefully they only do that when said person is in custody. Although i doubt it.
Yes I thought that was unusual
Police don't suspect without reason. Announcing who a chief suspect it puts a MASSIVE amount of pressure on that person and watching how they act after the fact can be very telling
Put him under pressure and wait for him to do something stupid to help their case.
@bodd boward Just seems to me that the amount of damage you do to someone's reputation before proving them guilty 0- before even having enough evident to try them - is unwarranted.
