Just made this last night for the boyfriend who tried clams for the first time ever! I can confirm it's absolutely delicious and he loved it! Thanks Nigella.
Two cloves of garlic is not even a drop in the ocean in India. In Indian cuisine maybe a 5to8 bulbs of garlic is probably used. In Chinese cuisine probably even more garlic is used more than Indian cuisine. Chinese use garlic in almost evry dish they cook.
Excuse me people. She said, " If you have never come across Fregola before, do not be afraid or even slightly panicked, Its really LIKE, LIKE,LIKE,LIKE dry couscous. Dig your ears if you have to. she didnt say it WAS couscous she said its LIKE couscous
I made this the other day and it was delicious but fregula defiitely took longer to cook then time it took to chop parsley! They should be honest about cooking times and not let editors go crazy..
Yeah this is probably one of my favourite recipe from her, but fregula took alot longer to cook properly, also my fregula that i brought online looked no where near as good.
Your videos are well presented and lovely to watch. This one is the one of the best... Bravo. I did use dry red wine but I added molasses sugar, later on, to make it more palatable. I cook it without fregola but over "Taglierini" I added 2 more garlic cloves and some lemon zest. Great dish,
"makes me salivate" "in position" "clam" "I feel I need an ungainly squirt" "I can feel that" "clam" "sealicker" "I love it when the clams have opened" "oh the smell" "I need to eat"... HAHAHAHAHAHAH!! Hottest Pommy old bird out. You are delicious Nigella!
I tried it (with mussels, though) and it was absolutely easy and yummy. The seafood part isn't even that exciting, it's the fregola with the chili flakes. I guess you could make this fregola with vegetables, meat, anything, and it would still be great. Easy, cheap and still exciting and unusual.
There's a little Ligury colony of descendants of Tabarka isle settlers in Sardinia. They cook their own cous cous. It's called kashkà. Fregula is different, but it's also made by rubbing and rolling dough with the hands.
I've never understood this comparison between fregola and couscous. To me at least, they are nothing alike. Fregola is a pasta, whilst couscous is a grain.
Sa fregola chin su cous cous non be zintrada nudda! But I love your videos anyway ;-)
WTF? It's fregola and it has nothing to spare with cous cous, fregola is a rye pasta, cous cous is an arab dish made by semolina, the taste and the consistency are totally different. Even the appearance is different.
Nigella is so relaxing to watch, I just love her cooking programs
I totally adore Nigella. She is so enthusiastic entertaining and just plain fun to watch.

I love the way she says “in bianco” 🇮🇹
I love how two cloves is alot of garlic to the Brits. Most dishes in Greece take an entire bulb.
Spiral Breeze haha i laughed when she said that
Weak stomachs them brits
Spiral Breeze - it's not actually it's a lot to her. However she has used whole bulbs before, so the comment does not fit reality.

That's why your country stinks

i'm sardinian and you'r absolutely right! it's called "fregola", similar to couscous but different for the size (it has bigger diameter)!
the sound on the videos is unusually delicate
I made this the other day and it was delicious but fregula defiitely took longer to cook then time it took to chop parsley! They should be honest about cooking times and not let editors go crazy..

So elegant and entertaining and that kitchen! Damn!
Fregula alle vongole -- un piatto molto delizioso!

She's so classy. Gosh..

I'm from Sardinia lol
PLEASE UPLOAD EPISODE 4!!!!!!!!!
I've never understood this comparison between fregola and couscous. To me at least, they are nothing alike. Fregola is a pasta, whilst couscous is a grain.
@W W Precisely!
Actually, couscous is pasta, rolled from dampened semolina.
Clam shells are so much prettier than muscles.
mussels ado not have muscles. Thank you and good nite
Did you added salt 🧂?🤔
There's something with how she looks at the camera
It’s called Fregola!
I like her:
Sardinian Fregola = Israeli CousCouse = Ptitim = Maltese Kusksu Pasta . I guess everyone has a different name for the same thing.
👍👍👍🧡🧡🧡👏
thanks i think that will be a delicious .......but this is not couscous it is mahamsa(محمصة)
This is supposed to be a dish from the sea
No chicken go back to scool. By a sardinian man
Fregola(fregula or fregua in sardinian) not cous cous (sardinian not Italians)
Iscurta dedde, mi non t'intendana narande ca sa fregole es commente su cous cous ca in Sardinna ti gaddana!!!!!!! Sa fregola chin su cous cous non be zintrada nudda! But I love your videos anyway ;-)
thats the thing, it has nothing to do with couscous! :P i'm from sardinia, the title is misleading.
for shizl
couscous is north african dish
that no is fregola........
who cooks parsley??? the fresher the more vitamin C it has
The way she says shal-lots!!!
I like her show but not her cooking.
How can't you agree with yourself?
You ruined it with the chicken stock
but yet you cannot spell it
I dont think thats how they cook.
Are you referring to the clams or the fregola?
@@dannysimion IM NOT SURE WHAT, its been a year since i commented.
It's Not Couscous it's Mhamsa 😕
it's not Couscous it's Fregola which is very similar to Mhamsa.
First time watching Nigella. Don't like her pretentiousness.
Ocean Lady I’m sure she would be very hurt by that
She seems normal to me.....
Oh man, talk about a minority here. Better not watch her ever again or you might grow a horn on your head...
too much parsley though...
Is not italian is algerian
Lol Cous what? it's called fregola!
idiotic comment
Lmao someone's not watching the whole thing
WTF? It's fregola and it has nothing to spare with cous cous, fregola is a rye pasta, cous cous is an arab dish made by semolina, the taste and the consistency are totally different. Even the appearance is different.
I know... She's off her head...;)
Luis Meloni anyway in the video she doesn't call it cous cous, the mistake is in the title of the video.
Yeah that's why she said it is LIKE cous cous
@@rohacha9iin40 exactly
Fegola is actually similar to an other Maghreb dish which is Mhamsa. The only place in Italy where they make Cous cous is in Western Sicily.
that kind of pasta is not called couscous!!
Lovely
