Please please please please please please do a preamp output voltage and clipping/distortion test!!!! I just got this radio and I'm planning my install, but I don't have a lot of the toys that you guys have for testing.
Without seeing this video I'd never have known this kind of shop was so close to me. I'll try to swing by and see if you do installs of customer-owned stuff (i.e. my brother bought me a front/rear dashcam for my birthday)

Can you do a album art displayed with Bluetooth music demo or a Android screen mirroring with this unit. I've watched your other videos and on this model after pressing standby there is no "system" option ! I can't get anything to run correctly as far as additional options go. Other than that awesome head unit ddx795
Really liking this radio. I have a JVC KW-V220BT which I'm looking to upgrade. It does have the same audio settings that I like and want. SQ is what I'm looking for in my 350z. Thanks for the review. New sub also and love the channel!! I'm old school also. lol... My first system was in 1988.
Nice unit The waze or more like the phone app. Waze on android auto is a lot more limited, search is really hard via the radio by hand (6 touches only then locks) so they want you to use the voice but that doesn't always work either. And won't work at in a mobile black spot. Also the app is blocked from being used while it's used in android auto, some will say that's good but when the above doesn't work then search on waze is completely useless.
I just upgrade my 11 years old Kenwood 6019 headunit for the ddx775bh model and found out Kenwood does not include an acutal remote control anymore. Instead, they want you to download their remote app. Do you guys recommend purchasing the optional remote? If so, what is the lastest model remote control on the market for Kenwood? I am only seeing one that is 5+ years old. BTW great review video.
Really appreciate the video product presentations. Really stinks having to shop for a new radio. How do you think this compares with the ddx9703s ? Alpine has lost me since I got screwed on a map update, bricked my INE-W960.

Tyrone Long I'd just adjust . What will really stuff it up is google or apple trying to take over the ecu of the car, seeing as they are going full auto drive. And what the car makers have that might make it harder.

They did a dyno on the ddx793. It didn't distort. The 794 and 795 should be the same
Get a dd-1 and you'll find your clipping level

Agreed looks terrible
Interface requires lots of changes whereas adding features are just changes in lines of code.

hey guys im havin a problem with my kenwood ddx814 when i put power to it the volume bottons dont illuminate and when i push it , the device turns off

what's the difference between this model, the 595, and the 395?
The 595 is the same radio with a smaller screen. The 395 is the same as the 595 with out the WebLink. Basically
595 has a volume knob also which is a must for me.
