@@JackFate76 Nah, I was being a see you next Tuesday and the music here chilled me out. Just because I think a meme is boring and played out doesn't mean everyone else has to agree.
Kevin Morby is great and I've been listening to his stuff for quite some time now... In May I went to his show in Hamburg and saw him live for the first time... I knew it was going to be good but not gonna lie - the band was fantastic and my expectations were exceeded! Probably my favourite show in 2022!
He will performing at Carnegie Hall in February! Thought you’d like to know. It’s a variety of artists. What a great opportunity to see unique modern performances at Carnegie
Bittersweet Tennessee always hits me like a freight train. I really like this guy, I found out about him through his covers of Jason Molina (Songs: Ohia) and have been listening ever since.
One of my top albums of 2022. KEXP best in the biz when it comes to the mix. Happy New Years KEXP thanks for giving us bands best live performances on the web.
Love this artist and the band, This is a photograph album has been on repeat from the beginning. Had a great time at the Ardmore Music Hall in Pa at Kevin's concert !!
Really good! ...I was in my local hardware store yesterday and Rock Bottom was playing. I was surprised, but stoked. It put a smile on my face and a spring in my step. Rock Bottom is also a great Kiss song... : )
Saw Kevin Morby on the This is a Photograph tour in Philly, so awesome. I’ve been playing this album on repeat since it came out, 10/10 best band in the biz right now
Great performance! Let’s get all the comments out of the way: The mixing engineer deserves a raise, Cheryl is a national treasure, the (fill in the blank) player looks like (celebrity/substitute teacher/whatever). What am I missing?
Loving this but scratching my head trying to figure out how I knew the name Kevin Morby. Just dawned on me he's performed with Waxahatchee. Typically great, KEXP. Thanks.
Probably more a matter of having convinced a guitarist to switch over to bass - and the Mustang has a scale length much closer to a guitar's than a P-Bass does.
The lead guitarist's sense of rhythm is awful, it's so distracting because of how good Kevin is. Look at the last KEXP and you'll see complete cohesion
how many artists do sound like other artists because they are simply inspired by them? yeah, right! completely normal and he is doing his own thing, so let him cook.
00:54 This Is A Photograph
04:31 Rock Bottom
07:27 Bittersweet, TN
13:03 Five Easy Pieces
My favourite part of this performance is when he said "it's Morbyin' time" and then Morbyed all over us. Truly one of the musicians of all time

Having Elizabeth Moen as a supporting vocalist is wild

Their timing / synchronization is so spot on. Cheryl is the best host.
This is wonderful, love listening to Kevin here much more than on Spotify
favorite album 2022 and favorite live gigs. saw him this in schorndorf and later this year in erlangen, germany

Bittersweet TN è un capolavoro. Erano anni che un pezzo non mi entrava nel cuore così

bittersweet Tennessee just cracked me OPEN thank you MORBS
glad to see louis theroux’s still tickling the ivory.

Sitting in Memphis watching this, fun to hear so much about my hometown and love the set.
All Morby's music is a real show !

A radio station here in Raleigh, NC, has been playing Rock Bottom so that's why I cam over her to check this out. This Is a Photograph made me cry:)
Superlative session, from Kevin to the band to Cheryl to the audio to the stellar camera work...KEXP really is the best.
Just yesterday I was listening to his concert on the route le rock... sooooo gooood!! Bravo Kevin! 🤘
it's at 8:48 that Elizabeth Moen pierce my heart..
Absolutely beautiful. Thank you KEXP for these performances, and to all the brilliant musicians it’s such a gift.
Excellent show! Love finding great artists outside my usual go-to's, and I think KEXP is probably most responsible for me doing that lately
this is funky as hell
LOVE!!!!
Woohoo! My fave artist on my fave radio station!! =)
He doesnt miss
Artistry! 🕺
thanks for the great share, just ordered the album
Harlem River is a gem
MORE MORBY! Been waiting for this one.
I would love a kevin morby x feist collaboration
So badass
when the violon kicks in in Bittersweet, TN, I can die
yes but wish they played it with banjo too
knockout version of bittersweet TN. wow.
Yea ✌️
kudos on this truly excellent performance
Classy.

(drums) (Willem Dafoe)
The Morbs rules
Im sorry I missed you in Indianapolis. I will never do that again!
Liam Kazar on bass?! (Cunningham?) if so awesome and check out his album and band, one of the best surprises of my summer
didn't he play with Jeff Tweedy?
❤
Oh poop no Meg still fabulous. Kev I worked the merch table for Bonnie Raitt, we talked for a bit . Congrats, hope all is ❤️🩹 well hon

so many Mustang basses in KEXP videos - new flavor of the month bass or is this KEXP studio property?
Probably more a matter of having convinced a guitarist to switch over to bass - and the Mustang has a scale length much closer to a guitar's than a P-Bass does.
@@Baribrotzer This is a good point. I love the short scale on a Mustang/Jaguar guitar, maybe I should try a Mustang bass.
tight
I desperately need to know where I can get his shirt
louis theroux on keys
is Liam Kazar on bass?
Yes
Really dug the synth farts on "Rock Bottom".
Featuring Frank Zappa on violon
Kevin seems a bit distant and pissed off here, avoiding all conversation. Was something going on here?
Band sounds tight though. Solid performance.
Enjoying Louis Theroux on the keyboard
He’s at best average
Why do his band mates look so pissed off?
Is that Mark Zuckerberg on bass?
Don't insult Liam like that!
Liam Katar! check out his awesome solo music
Liam Kazar. He’s a great musician and his record Due North is a modern classic!
This performance Morbs hard with a vengeance.
The lead guitarist's sense of rhythm is awful, it's so distracting because of how good Kevin is. Look at the last KEXP and you'll see complete cohesion
Why is he trying to sing like Dylan?
He's been pretty consistent in style, whereas Dylan often played around with his voice so not sure I agree with this.
I’ve always felt like the “This is a Photograph” lyric feels too Bob Dylan, but the rest feels reasonable.
Exactly. Boring music for Boring people
