      Hi Kelly,
My name is Jennifer Law. I was wondering if you could recommend a good compression pant while I’m sitting in an airplane for 23 hours trip to Singapore and Vietnam. I’m afraid that both of legs cause lymphedema due to GIST cancer in 2019. Also, Do you have a free exercises video on RUclips Channel about legs, while I’m sitting in an airplane ride? My trip starts on 2-14-2024. Thank You.

Hi Dr. Kelly.. I m experiencing swelling and pain on my feet.. All tests are normal.. Is it because of poor blood circulation in my legs.. Please confirm??

For feet swelling maybe it's because of poor blood circulation
      For pain on your feet
check if you're standing in balance
maybe you are standing on one leg
left leg and sometimes standing on your right leg only🤔
check if your weight is within normal range for your height 🤗
massaging your legs every 2 hours may reduce pain
You may consult internal medicine doctor or
Physical therapist for your well-being 👌
May God always bless you with good health and happiness 😇

being a long haul trucker i sit for 11 hours a day driving , i then go to the resturant eat then come out & go to bed , well after 20 years of this i found it hard to walk 50 yards without getting leg cramps . i tried a few vitamin s and more water . nothing helped more than the ankle pumps and stretching with a strap . my legs felt much better right away . thanks for the good advise !!!

I liked your comment and it's really encouraging. I too am an OTR DRIVER and I was thinking of getting the exercise/stretching band. I'm way overweight I'm in a lot of pain and what seems to help with that is soak in Apple cider vinegar. And ibuprofen. I know that doesn't fix this problem but it helps managing the pain until I can get started on a better diet and exercise routine. Anyways have a great day

I am so grateful I came across your channel, Kelly. The intermittent swelling of my feet recently became more severe and isn't going away after a good night's sleep. Diuretic helps some, but I want to improve circulation as much as possible without rx's. CBC was good except for D3 so maybe that will help the feet. I was a healthy 67 yr old until a month ago. Now I'm stumbling around like a drunk and my feet hurt most of the time. Not how I want to be and scared it will get worse. Now I understand better what is going on and your videos, exercise, and detailed recommendations give me hope I can turn this around. I have always been a shallow breather for some reason. And when I am stressed, I find I hold my breath. I will strive to stay more hydrated. My weight and BP is good, thankfully, but I'm reducing salt and sugar. Ive cut back on sweet tea and ice cream.
You've given me hope and I thank you so much!😊

Remarkable how this video timely showed up in my RUclips feed. I’ve been dealing with plantar fasciitis pain for many months and the last few weeks I determined to daily do various exercises and stretches so that I could get back to walking and jogging, and it has really reduced the pain in my foot. Two things: 1) is there a reason you did not mention massage of the feet and lower legs (which seems to help with circulation); and 2) thank you for that explanation of compression socks/stockings. Recently I asked my wife of why and how they are beneficial (she didn’t know) and, boom, I stumble upon your video, which answered that question, and many others. Keep up the good content like this.

Massage in lower leg is dangerous if you have blood clots (people could have them and not know it yet). Massage could cause the clot to break loose.

Then I look on eBay find 2 or 3 $ of insole and started using that One week all pain gone. I don't know how long I used that . But after that am not using any more . No Pain

That is bar none the best explanation I’ve heard of what causes blood flow and circulation issues. That is becoming more and more of a an issue for me so needs some action on my part. I eat healthy. That took some effort but I got there. I started making better food choices and counted calories. I lost over 100 lbs in the process and am keeping it off. I will watch this video again, take notes. Put a plan together and start moving.

I want to continue my active life style. In you opinion how should I raise legs and for how long should I raise. I will also be using your techniques to move the fluid away from lower legs toward the heard through lymphatic system. I learned a lot from you. I want to do squats and dead lifts and it is important for a man because these two exercises boost testosterone levels exponentially. I will take necessary precautions. Please give me your input!!

Kelly, you rock, thank you so much for all the lymphatic system tips, exercises, information and so much more. I can finally feel better about my current issue (so far bad in my right thumb, forefinger and wrist) after a right breast (cancer) modified radical mastectomy (dissection of axillary lymph nodes, 13 removed but doesn't account for further damage likely caused with post-op radiation). Will be booking a lymphatic massage after recovering from a second surgery (simple mastectomy on left side as prevention). Also getting my act together to lose a bunch of body fat through exercise and general activity. Only retired from desk jobs of 30+ years shortly before my diagnosis so although I was becoming more active I didn't have the chance to get where I need to be for my size. Call it a delayed New Years Resolution lol. Just thank you for posting these videos, from the bottom of my heart ♥🤗 BTW I don't smoke, drink and learned a LOT about hydration while undergoing chemo treatments. And am subscribed to your channel 😁

And would appreciate it very much if you answer this question:
for a healthy young person, the blood would flow up the veins without needing any exercises. What drives the blood upward in this case. Is it the blood pressure that stems from the heart? Are the arteries and veins connected at some points in the foot? I really need to understand this issue. Or it would be great if you could educate us on this in a separate video. THANKS.

Hi there, I really like your video, thank you for sharing such tips. My grandmother suffers from swollen legs and feet possibly due to water retention. I recently purchased a motorized elliptical machine that ‘pedals’ her legs while sitting down. She likes it as she does not need to exert force or focus on doing the exercise, so she will mostly be doing it while watching television.
I am wondering if you have came across such devices and whether you know if such devices actually have long term benefits or are able to alleviate the swelling. Do let me know your thoughts!

I walk regularly ....2 hours per day and have done for years but I have circulation problems....not "pooling" but Raynauds syndrome, in my feet and especially my fingers. Pretty painful at times.

Good advice, I don't have leg swelling however emphysema causes shortness of breath and leg weakness, good to know the stretches are also important.

For those stuck to the recliner like I get sometimes . Massagers will help circulate blood and reduce discomfort . A foot massager while sitting . Homedics massagers feet and hand held are nice to have .

Thank you, Kelly. Great informative video. I have the green strap used after knee surgery. I have chemo-related peripheral neuropathy in my legs and feet. I walk outside as much as I can. Do you think all of your techniques and tips would benefit my PN? I do have a neurologist.
    TY in advance.

I had knee meniscus surgery 5 days ago and my calf is swelling and bruising along with knee. I am elevating and icing 2 to 3 times a day but not helping. Went to ER did ultrasound. No clots. Thank the Lord but now swelling goes down only while elevating then I stand up and blood flushes and tightness comes right back

Silicon Can cause allergic reaction, also stockings can cause itchy legs with rash, or even weeping skin, that you did not mention; for elderly they can be difficult to put on esp with mobility issues.
