I'd never seen that before, but I knew straight away that "I WANTED TO LEARN HOW TO DO THAT". This is impeccable drumming that you are demonstrating. 99.8% of people wouldn't have a clue how we are able to play "PERCUSSION", with good reason....IT'S BLOODY HARD WORK & REPETITION ! & a lot of NATURAL ABILITY.

It's simple, Bubba. If an individual is coordinated enough and has a spec of rhythm they can learn the drum kit. It primarily requires desire to do after those two requirements of coordination & spec or more of rhythm are checked off the list. I can carry my own on the kit. I had a stroke caused by a head on car/bicycle accident I had at 9 years old. Self training myself on drums as a kid provided me to regain some strength in my left side limbs. If not for the accident I know for a fact I would be shredding as you do. I love the adrenaline playing gives! I love the sound! I love everything about percussion!

Mom and her 2 band mates went to watch them practice, and my2 brother play accoustic guitar,( as do i) one of my sisters super talented, took up the drums- a set of drums was never in the cards growing up ...(BAH)using whatever you can tap or hit... my dad was carving a turkey on Thanksgiving, and he was playing the turkey breast bone with the knive and meat Fork. We had a "Ventures" record on. 1982... We weren't physically taught, but by watching, observing, MY SIS TAUGHT HER 2 DAUGHTERS,.tc I have to say, you do really great tutorials... and I share them with my whole family! Keep Jamming! I started playing drums at 61. Having a blast doing it! I can't play 220bpm's but I CAN play along to many songs. It's REALLY frustrating at first but with practice you'll get better.
Everything this guy does on the drums just comes natural. It's effortless. He's a neurological marvel. I genuinely believe he could text on two phones, with both hands at the same time, all while flipping book pages with each foot.
He def rips for this style, the blasting and hyperkicks are dope I've just always been that nerd who went out of his way to try making these double bass pedal things happen with single pedal, I was very anti double bass although some genres damn near require it or things just sound wrong but he's def impressive. Single deal hero is Zach Hill, check out anything from his time is Hella, the two piece albums are my favs cuz you can really hear how fast that one foot is moving and just how oddly off time he naturally plays it's like a jazz drummer ate too much LSD and never came back. Recommended albums Hold Your Horse Is, The Devil Isn't Red, Tripper. My all time fav will always be Bill Bruford the first Yes drummer and Kings of Crimson

I was a drummer for 12 years, studied under some very good teachers, and this is still the most succinct lesson I've ever seen. Makes me wish I still had my kit.
I'm not a drummer, but have been playing a lot more drums to get a better sense of rhythm and time as a bass player. Let me tell you, man. Your drive and motivation is inspiring and has pushed me to become better and I just want to say thank you!! I have implemented a great practice routine and realized that if you do it right practice makes you push to be better than your last attempt. Thank you!
@@nuberiffic well, I was just making a joke about semantics, because music theory is a pain. However fun little trick, the longest note a kit plays will tend to be a quarter note. So you can always listen for the pulse of it, like this has that snare quarter. Transversely, you can listen for the difference in the accents of hoe the stuff is played, 16 are normally: v . V . 1 e + a 2 e + a While 8ths will look like V . V . V . V . 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + The difference being the weaker notes not receiving any embellishment. But also see the quarter beat is the more stated (accented) note. technically this isn't how you notate it, but it's a 'simple-er' way of viewing it. But back to what I said, it is all kind of subjective. I can say he's playing at 110 and I will be right, it's just that all of his note lengths would be cut in half. He is theoretically playing 32nds in that case. Thanks for coming to my Ted talk, there will be a test next thursday
@@nuberiffic because it’s easier then counting 32nd notes so really your just counting your lead foot 16th notes with your lead hand and if your doing half time of 16th then it’s just the 8th notes with your lead hand it’s easier to count what’s going on with your hands then your feet even if the feet are actually leading.

Dude, I like your style. That triple pedal you displayed previously earlier was fucking awesome. Nothing quite as good as a good bass drum routine. Except for a Randy Rhoades guitar solo, with some Tommy Aldridge in the background. Along with Rudy Sarzo, was the greatest band ever assembled. Ozzie killed it. I saw those guys at the Paramont Theater in Portland Oregon, first tour of the band.
