Correction: f.l.y is not a Flying Dutchman, those are discontinued and are very different

Only going by the information on the Rollercoaster Database. Vekoma havent defined it themselves.

@@ThemeParkRoundUp I think most people refer to it as just a launched flying coaster, they do really need to give it a proper name though

Saying taron is better than fly is very debatable

Its a just a matter of personal opinion. If you enjoy FLY then thats good for Phantasialand and the ride itself. :) I cant see myself riding FLY willingly again but I have ridden Taron 14 times in an hour before!

@@ThemeParkRoundUp really? You can’t see yourself riding it again? Also which row did you ride it in

@@zenthous9568 I tried to give it a fair account. Rode it 5 times over the 2 days I was there. Once on front and back the rest middle. Emptying your pockets was incredibly irksome (even more than Arthur at Europa Park), the position you ride it was uncomfortable (i dont think you can really see much in front of you either I cant recall) and there was an awful sulphuric egg smell that almost made me throw up in the beginning tunnel (which i have heard has been fixed). Worst of all I dont think the ride really pushes you. I think its too aware that it is new and therefore the intensity and speed arent hitting the heights you expect at certain parts of the track. Once youre strapped in it feels too timid - which is a great shame. I can see another version of this ride opening elsewhere which would be faster, have better visibility and more thrills and people will wish FLY had that.

@@ThemeParkRoundUp damn, from most other people I’ve heard it gets very intense on the back row

    • @ThemeParkRoundUp

@@zenthous9568 it is better back row because the boosts especially the second lift hill one pull the whole train up making the back row the fastest but the ride relies so much on banked curves which look gorgeous offride but on ride its just a lot of slowly turning around
