Solutions to the things being mentioned about social media will never be implemented. To tackle fake news/misinformation would involve major costs to the platforms, that would impact profitability and push people to platforms where it is harder to tackle /various messaging apps etc). The algorithm is a major part of social media (even youtube). Platforms need us to be here watching/interacting and if we were left to our own devices we'd eventually stop. By having things "suggested" we can be dragged down a rabbit hole etc. We could ban private groups on FB (for example) but that would cut someone people off from support they may need. Imaging having any kind of embarrassing medical problem and rising any question about being shared to your feed/visible to the people you are connected to. Any measure to tackle all this fights against what makes the platforms profitable and at times is usefulness to people with legitimate issue/topics. Also throw in that any drive for these measures would cause a lot of posts against it on, you guessed it, those exact same platforms.
So by Zoe's rationale Kemi Badenoch is a migrant? Also, Rishi Sunak? Terrible gas lighting.
What a surprise the woman from the telegraph talks about far left when asked about far right 😅
