If i had children, I would love them to be raised in a place like this.
I'd recommend it. Away from the screens and in contact with nature. Kids in my experience are much more balanced, easy going and learn much more that way than stuck in the city in front of the TV. Low tech is great for raising kids, judging from my different friends who got kids.

I was raised on a farm out in Wyoming, it didn’t have many animals but we never even knew what technology was and how big it was in the rest of the world until I was 10. We had to move to the more populated area in Wyoming because my dads work was too far away. I miss the mountains and fishing and everything, really. ;_ ;
This video looks like my childhood at my grandparents’ farm. They had chickens, ducks, cows, front garden, rice fields, corn fields and lots of fruit trees... best time of my life.
When my little cousin was 7 years old, she had a black chicken just like in this video. She named the chicken “Black headband” LOL

She's right: I've never seen a chicken that chill around a person, let alone let a person hold them for that long. And her daughter is a little cutie pie too!💕💕
my rooster hangs out with me all the time.. and he lets me pet him and hold him forever. He will even do tricks for special treats.. ha. Chickens are extremely intelligent birds, I would say in some areas much smarter than even parrots. They have an extremely complex vocal language. Once you hang out with one for a few weeks, you start to learn it.. lol.
My pet chickens are like that too. They'll just chill on the couch next to me, or if I lay down they'll lay down next to me. If I read a book they'll sometimes kick it out of my hands just so they can get attention or to get their back scratched. My rooster likes to steal my socks, play with my shoes and get spritzed with a water bottle and loves his dog bed. I'll be working on the computer and he'll just go to his bed and hang out there until I finish and then comes over. He's a funny little bird and super cute. I got him a girlfriend and he'll pick up food bits to feed her by beak. 😆 I've had others over the years who were just the most calm and dog- like chickens and I still miss them, but they lived pretty long lives for birds. They all knew their names and would run over when I called them.

sometimes you need to sacrifice your hand for some pecking before they trust you. Eventually if they get familiar with you, like you feeding and giving them water, they will warm up eventually.

Chickens are so sweet, I have four at the moment and they follow me around the yard and sit with me like puppies. They're so smart too, they learnt how to open the gate so they could wait for me at the back door for treats.

I once had a blind chicken, but when I called her name she would come to me. She was a very sweet chicken, she would let me snuggle her, she was my best friend in first grade and second grade. She was bullied by all my other chickens , and sadly was killed by a skunk.

I had a rooster that was acting just like this chicken. He was so big and pretty and I carried him basically everywhere I could.

I used to bond the exact same way with my chickens! I hand fed them! I hug them! I give them kisses! Etc. Our trust was never broken. Even tho sometimes they are the sweetest idiots who would fly up in my head. I miss my chickens alot lot lot. I hope they are doing well in heaven. They were the best pet i ever had.

Seriously, being around animals like this, especially from a young age, instills respect for living creatures, teaches you how to care for them and responsibility, helps you understand the cycle of life, and shows that even a chicken knows what love is.
If you've spent any time around critters, or live on a farm, you can't help but have some level of affection for them. And this little girl shows that, for sure. She's all heart.❤

Ingrid Faria I had an aunt who’s job it was to clean the coop when she was younger, she said that chicken’s were disgusting. Never made any, or turkey’s since, even for her family. Then I’ve heard from so many that they had a pet, still raise them for food. I am having trouble understanding... because of covid, I’ve had time to research, and am more confused.😳 am trying to be vegan, but for planet.

Beautiful, my father had chicken in a large chicken enclosure as he had a large garden. An employee would bring chopped veggie greens into which malt was added and fed each morning besides feed. They knew my dad well.Then my dad and uncle died in a fishing accident. All that went away. When I was 24 years old I went to stay with my mom and younger siblings. Got chicken and one female I liked her she would come when I called her name it was amazing how animals get attached to you it’s pure love, yes they have emotions Ur daughter holding her Girl reminded me of my experience thanks for sharing such heart warming story.

This was my childhood dream - living on a farm, with animals around me.
Honor is so thoughtful for her age, she seems to have known from the start that chicken scare easily and dislike noise (little kids often aren't that careful or calm 😉). Growing up in a place like this - pure heaven!
This is so precious and beautiful, to see the adorable toddler bond with her favourite animal and give her a name.
Their closeness and how gentle the child is with her favourite, Girl is really great to see, this marvellous little toddler has such love and kindness for animals and I cannot imagine a better childhood than this.
Much credit to the excellent parents whom make this all possible.
