    NO More Airbus 380! Boeing Reveals Secret Weapon "777X"
    Are you surprised when people say that the world's largest passenger aircraft, the Airbus A3 80, is extremely easy to replace? Despite the enormous aviation benefits it brings, it is also an aircraft that many times airlines raise more questions than answers. And when it comes to its replacement, many eyes turn to the Triple 7X. It can be seen as a potential aircraft that can perform some of the roles that are already performed by aircraft such as the A3 80. So will the Triple 7X take the A3 80 off the flight path so easily? Let's find out in today's episode!
    NO More Airbus 380! Boeing Reveals Secret Weapon "777X"
    Why was the A380 replaced?
    Initially, in terms of capacity, the A3 80 was the top choice for airlines, but in the end, this is also the reason why the plane was left behind. Because airlines think it's too risky. Currently, there are not many airlines that have an optimal deployment roadmap in general. In other words, their business model has many points that are not suitable for such a large aircraft.
    NO More Airbus 380! Boeing Reveals Secret Weapon "777X". Naturally the Triple 7X raises a similar concern, which is why some airlines have yet to commit to the aircraft. But at least it won't carry over existing concerns around A3 80 facilities. You see the sheer scale of the Super jumbo jet has led to multi-million dollar investments in airports around the world and is clearly a response to airline desires.

    I find it hard to believe that any airline would still be counting on the 777x entering production

    By the time 777X is certified and the production reaches is it’s needed capacity, Airbus will bring the next gen plane in

      At the rate things are going we will be lucky to have 777-9 certified before 2028/9
      Boeing makes more money via 737 max than through wide bodies. They will prioritise 737-7 & 737-10 certification first before the 777-9 naturally. 737-7 & 737-10 have de icing issues. Those cockpit changes that Boeing manipulated congress to waver have an expiration date & may come back into play.

      @@ricky1231 It will get certified next year hopefully. These slips that Emirates and Lufthansa are expecting despite boeings aim to certify it is still a priority as is the 737-7 and 10 is. The de icing issues have probably been addressed already and its just production that needs more checking. The Congress to waiver of cockpit changes also may have been implemented already. But it's more down to production at the moment

    Boeing suffers now from of an image problem. Even though only some of the recent incidents are actually Boeing's fault, many been due to the airliners not doing the proper maintenance, the impression that many passengers have is that it is entirely Boeing's fault. The triple 7 does not compete against the A380 because this latter one was more like a class on its own. It would be rather a competitor for the A350-1000 than for A380.The only reason why Boeing is able to take massive orders now, at least for the 737's series , is due to the very lengthy wait times that Airbus has(after all, who can afford to wait for nearly a decade to receive an A320 that is ordered today ?)

    AIRBUS Could Have Shut Down its A380 program in 2013/2014 and Ended its Production in 2016 instead of 2021 as Airbus Was Happy with its A350s!

    Boeing should have kept the 747-8 in production until the 777X developmental woes were ironed out. They made the mistake of axing one plane in favor of the other knowing that airlines are pinching pennies in the current environment. By axing the 747 program, airlines are stuck with the Airbus A380 or the woefully underpowered A340. From a cost perspective, I can understand the reluctance by airlines to consider the 747-8, but in reality, having the 747-8 is a viable option when comparing with the A380 due to its smaller size that Boeing had faithfully adhered to while developing the -8i. The 777 program is good, but when relying on multiple suppliers for parts, Boeing had literally set themselves up for failure along the way by outsourcing their work for "lower costs."

      Yep I can say that 747-8 was retired earlier than people thought

    The big issue is the B777X certification. It keeps getting delayed. Why?

    • @FlyingNL
      @FlyingNL Месяц назад +1

      Because Boeing also doesn’t want a similar fiasco as with the 737 MAX and 787 batteries. Also, the FAA is monitoring Boeing closely, so they won’t make those same mistakes.
