Gregor I felt that punch in the jaw way over here in Houston , Texas where we have mold growing from the hurricane. This hurricane made the neck on my bass freak out.
I wanted the Alpha Omega, but after thinking a bit, I went for the Omicron instead. I use a DI-Box first in my line anyway, and with the money i saved, I will now buy a Boss GEB-7, wich gives me a lot more frequency control + an be used as a boost if needed. Still I have money left for a new cable or a pack of fresh strings! 👍
I'm so happy they released it in a smaller frame and ditched the eq. I already have a sansamp programmable as my main D.I and just love the distortion from this, so I'll be picking this up for sure.
I love this pedal. Sweep the Alpha Omega control until you find your sweet spot. I love the simplicity of these pedals, and it’s so perfect I don’t need the EQ on the bigger model. Others might, so can’t go wrong . 11/10
Honestly I prefer the non-ex-ness because idk I want as few places where I can mess up, kinda like the jazz bass of distortion? You have 2 or 3 main knobs that are there and you can dual in your tone easy and have the EQ set on the amp end or rack EQ. Keeping the signal chain simple
Gregor! Great video! Lars playing inspired me! I would like to ask a couple of questions regarding production. 1. What reverb do you use for your bass videos? 2. I can see you have a pair of ADAM monitors, are they the TV5? Do you find them enough for mixing specially bass content or do you advise to get a subwoofer with those ADAM? Thank you!
I mostly use the little plate reverb from soundtoys. My current monitors are Adam A7x, the white ones are a A5 pair. I can’t recommend a subwoofer for bass mixing
That's fine. Although you guys should try an F# tuning, to be able to accompany an 8 string guitar :P It's hard to get the right kind of distortion for such a low tuning. The most important factors of achieving such a tune would of course be the right string gauge, and the right set of pickups. Also have you hear of Prometeus bass guitars?

I think this is my favorite channel on RUclips. Always incredibly quality content from basstheworld. You guys kick ass
+Cave Man Thanks! 🙂
You guys always make the pedal demos with the best riffs. Using musical and groovy riffs really make the pedal sounds shine even more! 😍
Love Lars' playing! Also, top points for that Trump edit - freaking hilarious. Awesome pedal, too.

I have this pedal, now is my favorite, sounds amazing!
Prob the best DG pedal to my ears - Lars is also one of my FAV players of all time - does everything with rhythm

+Drek Inka thanks! :)

Such infectious grooves, this pedal is sick!
Best Distortion pedal I have ever owned!

You just convinced me. I would really like to see such a video with the Duality Fuzz
What is that orange bass that looks like some sort of fender jazz mixed with a Gibson thunderbird that has two humbuckers in it🤯

Hahah. @3.08 laughing so much at the "mmm, thats hot" comment.
Are we hearing the pedal direct to interface or have you mic'ed a cab?
+Daniel Sing we were using a 1073 mic preamp only. Everything else is post processing
This sound is insane
Love my Alpha Omicron!!!
That F bass distortion is great 👍
What’s the first bass he’s playing?
Sandberg Forty Eight
What bass is this guy rocking here? looks and sounds ace.
Man what bass is that orange and white one?
sounds really good.
Does anyone know what the knobs were set at in the first clip he demo’d it?
So this pedal can do distortion and overdrive sounds?
First to come along that makes me swoon in a while since the zvex wooly mammoth

Awesome video... now I want one of these too:-P
Daaaaammnn that line at 1:25 O.O
Wich bass is the first one?
Which one the best alpha omicron or microtubes X????? Anyone can answer the experimen?
I love my Microtube X, made my bass sound like a metal machine! The Alpha Omicron I've yet to try.
Only you can answer that question. Watch Amos Heller’s shootout comparison, and then go and try both. I went for the AO, but I still may buy the X
when you do a demo with a product like a distortion pedal, can you also use a bass that's downtuned? for example drop A?
+Ezzywezzybear O we used a 5string with Low B. I think that’s low enough for 99% of all bass players

the first sound snippet has me using a drop d. the one you see from 2:13 even features a drop c. and yes, we used the fivestring as well, of course!
Lars Lehmann sweet :D I do like that orange bass too.
thx buddy! that's not mine tho ... it belongs to gregor. but really digging that one, too! :-)
Will it be available in India?
It seems that you had a lot of fun doing that review, haven't you?
What is that orange bass?
a Sandberg Forty Eight
Isn't there knob to change the blend of how much Lars plays in the video vs how much Gregor talks in the video? :P
Question: "Are they really worth the kind of steep price?"
Short Answer: "Yes."
Long Answer: "Yeeeeeeeeees."
it’s not really my style but fuck me this guy can play
That's what I'm talkin about about . Plenty of balls and no fizz
Funny parts on this one hahaha. Much like for the pedal tho
Lars is fun
Sweet baby jesus.

Zät inklisch pulls dir reight die schuhs aut.
the intro sounds like tool
Joseph DeCredico mixed with a little "smoothened" raining blood 😂
kyle patrick maducdoc true but this takes more skill to play then most of raining blood as long as you can palm mute 😂
Exactly what I was thinking!
sounds like martinie in mudvayne
omikron is O, just saying :)
+Yung M I consider it being Part of the Alpha Omega series
Dieser Akzent furchtbar ey xD
