I like how these vans are sort of an oddity where you live. I must've rode in these at least 1500 times. It's a daily recurrent segment of anyone's life who doesn't own his own automobile. Just wave one, get in, and try not to get too attached to the faces already in there. who needs taxis?!
Patched-up surplus suzuki carrys are the de facto mode of public transport where I'm at lol. I honestly like the idea of owning one but with how old most of them really are, you're more often than not, paying for a possible money pit.
I am all about these videos man! I've got an AZ-1 and a Suzuki Super Carry, and it's awesome to see someone who gets the appeal of these little nuggets. I think everyone generally likes the AZ-1 for one reason or another, but most people really don't see these kei vans as enthusiast cars. I think having a car that punishes you when you don't plan ahead and conserve momentum is a great thing. The Carry's got a ridiculously short wheelbase and front weight bias too, so if you're too aggressive with the throttle, the wheels break free, and you've got a slide to catch (in a hurry, with the bus-like steering wheel). It was cheap to buy, but you'd have to offer me a lot of money to give it up. Love this type of stuff!
Fantastic video I love it. My favorite "almost" Kei car is the smart roadster. Slightly oversized vs. a proper kei, but my god it's fun to drive. 700cc turbocharged 82hp, 800kg, automated sequential 6-spd gearbox... Drove it top down in Paris, I got very surprised I almost hit 88mph in no time... If you could find one in the US, you'll love it.
When I was college, I did work experience at an Estate Agents. They had one for going around and putting up and collecting the sign boards. Went out in it once and nearly rolled it! Hit a bump on a bend do 35mph, crazy little machines - very loveable, just have your wits about you!!
I just stumbled across your channel and this is the 3rd video I've watched. I am completely smitten by this little van. Your video has made me fall in love with these cute little gerbil cars and I must have one.

Thought exactly the same!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣👍👍
Ikr
I'd put an R6 engine in ngl
That'll be dope
%100 defo S2000 engine would be perfect
That’s kickass. Running around town in this would be more fun than almost anything else.
Were not complaining either, who doesn’t love a lil k car action with your mornin coffee
I love underpowered cars.. its really rare that you can just push the throttle to the maximum with out breaking the speed limit
I wish they had a very slow lane, then their could be a bunch of people driving kei cars.
The kei lane
Also I like the Suzuki Swift
Fantastic video I love it. My favorite "almost" Kei car is the smart roadster. Slightly oversized vs. a proper kei, but my god it's fun to drive. 700cc turbocharged 82hp, 800kg, automated sequential 6-spd gearbox...
Drove it top down in Paris, I got very surprised I almost hit 88mph in no time... If you could find one in the US, you'll love it.
I own one. If you know what you're in for, they are excellent!
"We don't need hellcats we need kei cars" I do agree but I gotta point out that wasn't a hellcat that was a demon😂
GavGo69 Someone’s going to put a 700+ HP Hemi in a kei car.
@@user-tb7rn1il3q I think even if you reinforced the frame that it would twist and break if you put your foot more then 15% to the floor
When I was college, I did work experience at an Estate Agents. They had one for going around and putting up and collecting the sign boards. Went out in it once and nearly rolled it! Hit a bump on a bend do 35mph, crazy little machines - very loveable, just have your wits about you!!
Those engines sound so ferocious lol, little engine that couldn't
3 cylinders always sounds good (in gasoline, ofc)
Don't knock the little engines. The Tecumseh 10HP in my off road go kart makes that thing REALLY move
@@MilesPrower1992 nah, I like them, was just saying haha. 38 HP isn't much for a car lol.
I have been a Kei driver for over thirty years.Acty,Hijet,Copen, and Piaggio Porter(Italian assembled Daihatsu).
Doug demuro should definitely do a review on this jdm van I’d click on his video faster than I can say kei car😅
I just stumbled across your channel and this is the 3rd video I've watched. I am completely smitten by this little van. Your video has made me fall in love with these cute little gerbil cars and I must have one.
Gotta see if you can get ahold of a Honda City Turbo lol
Another kei car. Hell yeah. You are definitely on a kei car kick. Awesome.
That engine sounds like NSX, OMG
Thanks for this! My first car was an ‘88 civic LX (that I drove the wheels off and still got 38mpg and rarely broke US speed limits ) would love if more people got that slow car fast is the best thing ever
That’s a flawed car. The steering wheel is totally on the wrong side!
the interior is soo simple yet practical ! its amazing lol with a 60 or 80 hp engine it would be insane lol
1:55 rear end sticker 鈴木 mean SUZUKI
I enjoy this channel for the POV reviews with all these rare kei cars!
Que hermoso es ese carro felicitaciones 👏👍
He is trying to keep everybody happy. Good video 👍
Us third world citizens: our time has come
Wow! You gave a wonderful ride as i almost feel i was ur passenger, the sound of that engine, the curbs and uphill with all those passing on the trees shadows! Haha that's crazy!
Thanks!

I’m 17 and learning to drive, I love when these types of videos pop up on my recommended. Looks like a tidy machine 😂😂
fun: 10
safety: 0
I daily an identical van like this and love it :D
Nice review btw
This is, IMHO, probably one of the most Japanese cars ever made. I mean, the whole Kei-Car-Concept in and on itself is as Japanese as it gets. But the Acty in my mind is one of the pinacles of that.
That sounds really good! It feels peppy even if it's probably not
ウチの仕事車だーありがとうございます!
Finally, a video of a kei car in Massachusetts! I'd like to get one someday.
Americans: "Lemme put a V12 there"
because why not🤷🏿♂️?
*V8
Wow, this entire video I was like, why do the surroundings look so familiar. This truck is so cool, maybe I'll see you around town. Go Falcons...
