So I'm in Symphony and still can't do vibrato and I've been playing for 4 yrs and no one could teach me it. This video literally helped me so much! I am doing so much better thanks

I'd encourage folks to create smoother transitions between the higher and lower positions to develop a smoother, ore flexible vibrato sound and motion over time, relax the thumb so it's a slight counter pressure at most and doesn't hinder smooth motion, and try several cycles in one bow to promote eventually being able to maintain a consistent vibrato no matter what the music has in store - various note values, slurs, repeated notes on the same pitch, etc. The vibrato must be able to flow throughout.

what I like about this tutorial is that it show the vibrato from the viewing angle of the player, instead of the instructor. This makes trying to emulate the motions a lot easier. Most other tutorial you have to watch them on the reflection of a mirror.

the bow hold for the whole bow has eluded me. Bouncing bow has resulted. She understands the camera perspective is the perspective. Walk a mile in my shoes at least in this context seems to deliver the "goods."

You are a life saver with the camera angle. So much insight into vibrato as well as bow hold is derived from your video. It is a virtual cornu copia and it isn't even Thanksgiving or Latin class. Love the way you wade us into the ocean of violin pedagogy in such a casual way. Your method reminds me of Khan Academy. You could explain it to anyone!!!!
