Great classic........I saw Taylor Dane last night on "Matchmaker Millionaire"...........She's still blonde, but now she wears her hair long and straight......She's still singing!
Taylor Dayne has been through a lot since her child hood and suffers from issues with her bladder and kidneys plus anxiety and panic attacks. She will always be one of the greatest female singers in my opinion. God love you Taylor and thank you for all the great songs you give to our hearts.
Always loved this song by her. The lyrics are beautiful. She sings them in a way that expresses deep feelings of love and she does it beautifully, right from the heart. .
Am I the only one still loving this song in 2019? We don't have singers and music like this anymore. So many breathtakingly beautiful memories attached to this song and era of time.
@@matthewrobinson8214 you're right. Yes of all time. There wouldn't have been the eighties, nineties up until this day without her beautiful voice. God I love this song and the way she sings it.
This song Taylor Dayne gave me such peace and calmness after the passing of my son's father on his birthday last month 6.6.22.Im sorry I did not share this with him before his passing....Powerful words with a powerful voice. ❤❤
Heard this in the grocery store today and came here to listen to it again. Haven't heard it in years. Still such a beautiful song with beautiful vocals. I dedicated this song to my husband at our wedding reception 31 years ago. Still together!
This is one of her very best songs. She is a beautiful lady. I love her and have followed her career since the beginning. Her vocal registry and artistry is in a class all by itself. She is multi-faceted. They couldnt figure out where to categorize her voice so they just through her in with the generic "free style". However, she blew everyone away when she sang this amazing ballad. She proved everyone that she could do it all. This is my favorite song. Nostalgia.
I wish Taylor Dayne were not grouped with the 80's because this song rises above and beyond any generation. I wish all the radio stations played this song by Taylor, just interweave it with the other music, and I bet it would bring people to a standstill and they would be wondering, "where did that come from?" Play it again. You cannot fight or complain when this song is played. It is impossible to be anything but "touched" when Taylor Dayne sings this in her powerful and beautiful voice. A song like this comes along once in a lifetime.
john e Lawler yes it’s horrible. My husband died unexpectedly right in front of me😓 he was a lot older then me and was subjected to Vietnam war and agent orange. Not fair.
@@newlifemovingon374 how awful for you, my Maggie had been ill for quite a few years, she was told she had 3 weeks to live but lasted 3 years so i should be grateful for that, thing is with me i don't want to "get over" her. and although i am not happy i am sort of content living on my own with just the memory of our time together.
You are so right, my brother. Being a little older than you, I can throw the 50's into the mix as well. The 2916 Divas only wish they had this kind of talent. I'll always love you, Taylor Dayne.
I am right there with you (I am 51). I lived it! There are so many songs that became absolute classics from the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s. No question about that. For anyone who was a teenager (or of college age) during any of those decades, don't forget that you "came of age" in the GOLDEN ERA of the music business. All that extraordinary music and artists were speaking to you!! Amazing! By the way, isn't interesting how without auto-tune, all these amazing vocalists, were able to create absolute "magic" and heart felt emotion like this?! They all had a clean vocal identity of their own. I can go down the list: Sade, Anita Baker, Aretha Franklin, Patti LaBelle, Regina Belle, Patti Austin, Taylor Dayne, Vanessa Williams, Diana Ross, Donna Summer (RIP), and many, many more. How can anyone listen to Nicki Minaj, or rap music, when you can listen to this? I have never understood that. In closing, thanks to Taylor Dayne, the musicians around her, and the great Clive Davis for signing her to Arista records, and guiding her career back in the day. Great music! Enjoy! Cheers, Sam.
***** Yes, it was a great time for contemporary music. I was there! So many great artists and bands with great songs on the Billboard charts that stood the test of time. Greatest memory for me? When Michael Jackson's Thriller album was released in 11/1982. I was 17 at the time. But what really got my attention (and many others) was when Billie Jean was released in 01/1983, and got to number one a few weeks later, and the video exploded on MTV!! It was amazing! Even my parents and other adults were into Michael. They remembered him from the Jackson 5 days! For the next two years, all the songs from the album would capture all of our imaginations, and turn Michael into a truly global superstar. It was great to witness all of it. I lived it! It was amazing! Cheers, Sam.
She has the voice of an old soul; someone that radiates with life and gravity. It’s one of those tones that bring about goosebumps, regardless of music taste or age. Between her, Tina Turner, contemporaries like Karise Eden, and others of similar technique/tone, they’re undeniable vocal powerhouses that stand the test of time.
taylor dayne is a very talented singer and she has this magical voice and lyrics that i love❤️her songs will never be forgotten in this word. since when have you been listening to Taylor's songs?
This is one of my all time favorite jams. May God bless this beautiful, talented, powerhouse. Taylor Dayne is up there with Teena Marie and Whitney Houston. I love it!!!!!! Heaven on earth. Thank You Grandma.
Jan you are correct! The lady has SOUL, for sure! By the way, is it just me? If you notice, the quality of the songwriting in the 70s, 80s, and 90s in contemporary music was "waaaaay" better than anything we have today. When I listen to this song, I can hear a beautifully constructed song. Intro, verse, chorus, great melody, great musicianship, not over produced, great musicianship with top notch musicians who are masters of their instruments, very warm and seductive, lyrics that tell a story and touch the soul, and finally Taylor Dayne's impeccable vocals (without auto-tune!).No sampling needed here either! I can't name one artist on today's Billboard charts that comes even close! And this song "WAS" on the Billboard charts back in 1988!! It's amazing how low the quality of contemporary music is in 2016. Sad. Enjoy this great classic though! Cheers, Sam.
Best to me is the Spinners from Motown Detroit Motor City in the 1970's. Vinyl recording has every other sound beat hands down. Just my opinion, I could be wrong.
I adore this song. I just turned 48. I grew up in the 80s in LA and was exposed to LOTS of music growing up, but this is easily one of THEE BEST songs ever recorded. I truly mean this. I was on the verge of making it my dance song at my wedding ten years ago, but wifey wanted Crazy Love by Van Morrison (another great song!). When I hear this song it instantly takes me back to my teenage years and puts a genuine smile on my face and a makes my heart skip a beat. I hope you all enjoy this as much as I truly do :)
She never got the cred she should have, she has a better voice then many of the “Divas” that got all the attention a few years later. Sadly she got lumped into 80s party scene music with Tiffany and Debbie G and Gloria Estefan Her voice is powerful enough to run a satellite in space
I'll always love you For the rest of my days You have won my heart and my soul With your sweet, sexy ways You gave me hope When I needed someone near You bring me happiness Everyday of every year And I'll always love you For all that you are You have made my life complete You're my lucky star Your are the one That I'd been searching for You are my everything Tell me who could ask for more And I'll always love you Honey, this will never end I need you by my side, baby You're my lover my friend Oh, my friend You gave my world A thrill I've never known And filled my eager heart With a love to call my own And I'll always love you You must know how much I do You can count on me forever And I will take good care Of you I'll always love you I'm so happy that your mine I always love you Till the end of time
Its an épica melody whit to much sentimental world your voice trasmit and. Come to my soul. To remenber so the more beautiful moments in my life thank you
Whoever wrote this will have their pockets lined forever. Probably one of the most requested wedding songs in history, right up there with "Always And Forever" by Heatwave
The only problem with that, is the fact that most weddings are not broadcast over radio or TV--so neither Taylor Dayne or Heatwave make a dime. Too bad for the artists, 'cause they both deserve to make a fortune off of their songs. They are both in my personal Hall of Fame. I must admit that looking at Taylor Dayne beats the hell out of looking at Heatwave--nothing personal, fellows.

I dedicate this song to my man. We found each other in March 2020. I had given up on finding my final love. I am blessed to have a wonderful man in my life.
Yes you are very blessed. Congratulations!!! and wishing you the best.
I will always love my husband who died Dec 31 2016. Married for ten great years miss him dearly. He's was my life. This song is so true!!! So sad.
A love that will last forever.
I often revert back to the 80s and 90s. The memories in my mind and everyone maybe, keep us going.
I'm so sorry for your loss. Hugs
Makes me think of my soul mate who passed 2 years ago. Married 57 years. I’ll always love you.
Aww sorry for your loss.
This makes me think of my soulmate, though we are not together now,not losing hope. Like her song, love will lead you back, hopefully one day love will bring him back to me. I know we belong together.
That's something special there. God speed to you and your everlasting love.
💔❤❤
Lost my grandfather last year. My grandparents were married for the same amount as you and your soulmate. Relationships like that are remarkable. I’m sorry for your loss.
I remember hearing her sing at the Apollo theater on Tv she lit it up with those powerful vocals .Unique sound and soulful
Taylor Dane was one the best. You could understand every word she sang. Those days are gone forever and you just listen to the beat.
She could have easily been a soul singer if she wanted too. She sang the hell out of this song. Classic jam.
Soul is actually what comes from inside and she got it.
I agree.......
Rick Corbett Jr. I saw her perform this song on "Showtime at the Apollo"...........
Great classic........I saw Taylor Dane last night on "Matchmaker Millionaire"...........She's still blonde, but now she wears her hair long and straight......She's still singing!
That's great to hear she is still performing! With her voice she needs to still be using it & getting paid somewhere. LBD
Born 1980 and still listening in 2021
If we had more singers like her the world 🌎 would be much better
This song was sung at my wedding 35 years ago and we still love it❤
Omg 1988 this was a hit. Heard it on the radio a lot and it grew on me. I was 5 than and I’m 37 now and still love this song!!! Taylor is beautiful
This is a good song.

Taylor Dayne has been through a lot since her child hood and suffers from issues with her bladder and kidneys plus anxiety and panic attacks. She will always be one of the greatest female singers in my opinion. God love you Taylor and thank you for all the great songs you give to our hearts.
I didn't know that. I was lucky enough to see her at a small theatre, and she was perfect.
I hungout with her passing one lovely night UTRECHT NL.
I pray 🙏🏾 "Taylor Dayne" gets better her song blessed millions of people across the waves 🌊 #goodvibes love Jenny 💕🇺🇸🥰👍🏾
Praying for her❤ Her music soothes my two year old grandson and he sings along with her!
Always loved this song by her. The lyrics are beautiful. She sings them in a way that expresses deep feelings of love and she does it beautifully, right from the heart. .
A true vocalist. Absolute perfection. I wish she'd gone further in her career.
Am I the only one still loving this song in 2019? We don't have singers and music like this anymore. So many breathtakingly beautiful memories attached to this song and era of time.
No.... You're not alone.
Ditto.
ONE OF THE MOST POWERFUL AND HEARTFELT VOICES OF THE 80'S . I ALWAYS LOVED THIS SONG. 💙👍
Of all time, not just the 80's.

She sure does! I just watched her on the masked singer, she was friggin awesome, and looks awesome! Rock on Taylor ❤ forever a fan ❤
Played this at my loves funeral. 36 years! Says it all 💖 I miss him and will always love him🎣🐞
If you’re still loving this in 2020, you’ve got good taste in music like this.
Liked it then and still sounds good now.
Still enjoying it
One of those great classics..Definitely this song will never be out of style.❤

One of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard, one of the most beautiful voices ever.
No one, absolutely no one can deny her talent. I love her voice. Such feeling and soul from her voice. Good looking too!
I wish she didn’t stop recording new songs.
Hope that she never has any future problems with her cancer. Stay healthy Taylor😊
This song Taylor Dayne gave me such peace and calmness after the passing of my son's father on his birthday last month 6.6.22.Im sorry I did not share this with him before his passing....Powerful words with a powerful voice. ❤❤
Taylor Dayne was so hot and damn great singer . The 80's were the best of time . God I wish those days would come back .
CORRECTION : SHE IS ANOTHER GREAT RECORDING ARTIST IN
THE MUSIC INDUSTRY
Yeah I had a major crush on her when I was in my teens.
Nostalgia.
1988 ...
2020...
Perfection of '80s pop music
✌️😎
I wish Taylor Dayne were not grouped with the 80's because this song rises above and beyond any generation. I wish all the radio stations played this song by Taylor, just interweave it with the other music, and I bet it would bring people to a standstill and they would be wondering, "where did that come from?" Play it again. You cannot fight or complain when this song is played. It is impossible to be anything but "touched" when Taylor Dayne sings this in her powerful and beautiful voice. A song like this comes along once in a lifetime.
I lost my wife in February & & miss her something rotten, & this song sums it all up perfectly
Lost the love of my life after 57years and yes it sums it up. I miss him like crazy
I know how you feel John I lost my husband also. 😓
@@newlifemovingon374 horrible isnt it? sometimes i still set the table for two, but not as often as i used to, maybe that's a good sign, i dont know,
john e Lawler yes it’s horrible.
The '60s, '70s, and '80s will never be duplicated or be beat... glad to be alive through it all.
did you like the 90s?
Cye Lannford i think i was high or drunk but these songs i know by and from my 💙
***** Yes, it was a great time for contemporary music.
Wake Up Song for years on my cassetplayer in the 90 is..never will forget..❤😊
She has the voice of an old soul; someone that radiates with life and gravity. It’s one of those tones that bring about goosebumps, regardless of music taste or age. Between her, Tina Turner, contemporaries like Karise Eden, and others of similar technique/tone, they’re undeniable vocal powerhouses that stand the test of time.
taylor dayne is a very talented singer and she has this magical voice and lyrics that i love❤️her songs will never be forgotten in this word. since when have you been listening to Taylor's songs?

Taylor Dayne was such a great singer. I am shocked she didn't last beyond the 80s -90s
+Korova Milkbar she is still around but in B venues like Holiday Inn lounge. I loved her music, still do.
Me too. She probably dropped out of the music business for a while. She has SOUL, for sure!!!
What are you talking about? I just saw her in concert tonight in Big Bear Lake. She is fabulous-looked and sounded amazing.
Magical voice! Taylor Dayne is one awesome singer and songwriter! 🌹❤️🌹
DITTO, DITTO. WHAT a GREAT singer with great songs. Truly love songs.
She puts so much emotion in to her music just love it!
80s flashback; one of the all time best!
Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam , The Jets , many GREAT artists who never received the recognition they deserved. ❤👍
She never got the cred she should have, she has a better voice then many of the “Divas” that got all the attention a few years later. Sadly she got lumped into 80s party scene music with Tiffany and Debbie G and Gloria Estefan
Her voice is powerful enough to run a satellite in space
Agree she is so underrated then and now.
FLA-TEXAN facts
true true. She can easily out sing Beyonce and many of the so called divas of today like you say and on top of that she probably has more soul!
She has a set of pipes....better than ugh ! Mariah Carey with her diva attitude or Jennifer Lopez
Gloria E. wasn't deserving? SHE was 🎯 for real.
She has such a wonderful voice.
This song is so beautiful!!!

I'll always love you
For the rest of my days
You have won my heart and my soul
With your sweet, sexy ways
You gave me hope
When I needed someone near
You bring me happiness
Everyday of every year
And I'll always love you
For all that you are
You have made my life complete
You're my lucky star
Your are the one
That I'd been searching for
You are my everything
Tell me who could ask for more
And I'll always love you
Honey, this will never end
I need you by my side, baby
You're my lover my friend
Oh, my friend
You gave my world
A thrill I've never known
And filled my eager heart
With a love to call my own
And I'll always love you
You must know how much I do
You can count on me forever
And I will take good care
Of you
I'll always love you
I'm so happy that your mine
I always love you
Till the end of time

I'm a metal head but damn what a voice had a huge crush on her.
This is Taylor Dayne's best song! I love it.
I would go with "Love Will Lead You Back." She nails that one with raw emotion.
Ravishing Beast Yes indeed, she sang the hell out of that one.
Whoever wrote this will have their pockets lined forever. Probably one of the most requested wedding songs in history, right up there with "Always And Forever" by Heatwave
I agree.
The only problem with that, is the fact that most weddings are not broadcast over radio or TV--so neither Taylor
Dayne or Heatwave make a dime. Too bad for the artists, 'cause they both deserve to make a fortune off of their songs. They are both in my personal Hall of Fame. I must admit that looking at Taylor Dayne beats the hell out of looking at Heatwave--nothing personal, fellows.
True - and, IMHO, they can stop playing that Heatwave one ANY DAY NOW.
Yep, it was ours!
