While it's the first day, if there is terrain that has generated to be next to a tree (Ex. a platform above trees and close to them) try to get as high as you can while trying to be next to it without falling and being able to reach it without having to stretch too hard in order to reach ( The defense I have about the terrain, is that if it's an infinite world, you would find a terrain like it and if it isn't an infinite world, there would still be enough of a chance that it would pop up in the world.. And the second thing I'll talk about it that if we apply human logic that we cannot get smaller versions of the cubical things that appear in Minecraft like a cube of dirt. ) Next, you'll break the leaves in order to get saplings to plant for later, and apples to use as a food supply. After that, find a cave system with a dirt vein. Once you find one, try digging it out as gravity does not apply in the world of Minecraft except only to sand and gravel thus meaning that Steve cannot defy gravity with gravity as for the logic in the world itself won't apply to anything else. After that, find a big stick on the ground from around the forest with breaking leaves and dead bushes if you live in the desert. (With the tree idea in the desert, they'll probably be a forest nearby like the terrain in most Minecraft worlds I've been in.) With that big stick, try to break the wood from trees and make a crafting bench. AFTER THAT, create a wooden pick from the wood and the big stick. Then, break a little plot where you can place the dirt from that shelter you've made and then create an opening in the ceiling so that sunlight will reach the tree sapling. Next, make a bowl so you can transport water to and from the tree to water it. Then, wait for the tree to grow while you ration the apples you have and if you didn't have enough apples, find more trees that you can break the leaves on. For the tree try to build stone stairs with clay from the ocean or a river. Anyway someone will find an error with this logic. This is just my opinion for how to survive. Also to be safe in the house. Put dirt at the entrance and make a small peephole to see when the day has arrived/when the tree has fully grown. Anyway this is my whole essay on a youtube channel. Bye

One way to start is to quickly find a village, instantly sleep when night comes so monsters don't spawn, become a farmer and farm crops, sell those crops, and buy an axe.

Why are you assuming that the anatomy of Steve’s body is the thing responsible for healing while eating and not the Minecraft food?
Yeah, the food itself could be magic, or otherwise have crazy regenerative properties.
He is making many assumptions here. Like, what if all the blocks are super brittle and thats why steve can break them with his fist? Or, skeleton arrows are not as effective as IRL arrows, so you would not die? It all depends.

Food healing is entirely dependant on a player's hunger. Missing 1.5 hunger means you don't heal unless you possess saturation. This would be translated to dependant on the calories the food gives your body rather than the food itself healing

Potato Kitty what about obsidian and cobblestone. Obsidian can withstand explosions while we cannot. We can mine that with or bare hands even if it takes a long time. And cobblestone can also withstand ghast blasts. If they are tough enough to withstand that how are we able to hit it for long periods of time? It’s most definitely not soft.
How about Steve being a super human? Look at how much he can carry and how fast he can run, considering each block is a meter cubed.
An explosion from a Creeper is probably enough to kill a normal human being.

You can not infect minecraft entities with your bacteria because minecraft living forms dont have the nutrients and sustances or structures that our worlds bacteria needs. We also cant eat their food, they dont have the stuff our body needs from it. We are different specie

Their bacteria might have not evolved to affect humans, since they never seen one. It's most likely safe.
I think that if there are pixelated bacteria, it can't get smaller than one pixel so you might could see them if they existed at all.

Oh, you just reminded me. Arrows & Crossbow-Bolts, are reuseable. But in Minecraft, they can stick into rocks, yet be just fine, but if used on a mob, they're broken & gone???? That's bullshit. And I can't recover arrows I didn't fire??? And I can't make metal arrows? There's more things I want in standard Bedrock Edition.

@DummyThicc Platypus He isn't consistant with examples, for starters mobs are a non-issue, just have a block at your door such as dirt or wood and they can't get in, a minecraft flower, seeds or sapling can be used to break a block of wood just as well as your hand so the broken hand is irrelevant, and you can go to a villiage for an axe. it would be tough, but still survivable, especially with all the plant based food such as bread, carrots, apples and baked potato, you don't need to find and kill animals for their corpses, the biggest risk is the mental health of not having people to talk to.
@DummyThicc Platypus When a minecraft block takes enough damage it becomes a floating item that weighs little and can clump together in your hand, you can calculate the forces involved in this if you want, but based on things that also do half a heart of damage like a person with some skill falling from a 4 metre height in the world with that gravity, the flames etc. and the time punching it it is achievable with your human hands after a few minutes from your perspective. the minecraft flower doesn't bend when used to hit or take any damage, even if we deny this fact of the MC world you can still use an axe from a village or finding loot, or if worse comes to worse tricking a creeper into blowing a tree up, something I do in many play throughs.

Since i only played Skyrim, I'll stick with the Imperial/Skyrim civil war era
Also I have other ideas for a why you wouldn't or why you would survive series
Skyrim would be interesting, but Oblivion’s era would be way more dangerous and interesting to talk about. You could go to Skyrim, Hammerfell, Morrowind or even find a way to Akavir and still have hell portals open up at your front door until the Champion of Cyrodil closes them all, and even then he turns into Sheogorath eventually so if you ever meet him, there’s a random chance he’ll kill you, turn you insane, help you or leave you be. God help you if you piss off someone wealthy, because the Dark Brotherhood is at it’s full strength with multiple sanctuaries operating in nearly every province, and they’re eagerly glad to take contracts. The monsters in each province are still equally as dangerous as in any other time period, excluding dragons that don’t exist anymore and the daedra that now slaughter the hell out of any village they want.
In Skyrim’s time period, you could just take a carriage to Cyrodiil and stay safe at any town provided you could get a job. If you try that in the end of the Third Era, your town could easily be razed to the ground by a contingent of demonic beings wielding weapons forged in that world’s equivalent of the deepest depths of hell. Sure, magic is easier to access so you could get some basic spells, but it won’t save you from an endless wave of hellspawn.

Two factors not mentioned, though one is optional and the other luck-based:
1.) When starting a world, a player can select the option of an "extra chest" or "bonus chest" which starts the player off with some torches, an axe, some wooden planks and some apples for food (and the chest as well if it is picked up)
2.) If a player is lucky, spawning into a world can land them near a village and the locals have chests with some materials that will help start a player's journey.

i think you are forgetting something:
1. you can block doors
2. even spiders are really avoidable
3. your goal is to survive, not to complete the game why do you think i would risk it going to the nether(or the end) unless its my only way to get out of the situation(being trapped in minecraft).
4. you can start a world in peaceful and with a bonus chest.
5. cats are a thing, they can completely draw away creepers and phantoms
6. iron doors are a thing
Very much mid to late game you're already good to survive for longer than possible. Assuming you survive the early game.
also villages exist, go to 1, they're in all biomes and have infinite food and water and easy to block doors.

The minecraft overworld is a lot more randomized than the nether and endworld because there isnt a guarantee
I don't think anywhere in Minecraft does it specify how hard you have to hit the tree or any blocks for that matter. For example, wouldn't just knocking on the wood like you would with a door ... break it? Also, you don't have to continue to use your hands after one tree. You can craft an axe right after.
I also think you treat the game mechanics way too literally. The reason I say this is because you end up needing to make exceptions if you are way to literal and I think making exceptions defeats the purpose of being literal in the first place. I think it should be safe to assume that if you were in the minecraft world you would very likely have access to ALL the Minecraft mechanics. Like an inventory with a crafting box. I doubt it would take a person long before they figure out how to make a crafting table. At least no longer than a player playing the game would.
Does E. coli exist in Minecraft? I don't think so. Based on how you have been going pretty literal thus far, it seems odd you wouldn't be in this regard. Where did these "square shaped bacteria" come from?
Who's to say the poisonous spiders in Minecraft are as poisonous as in real life? They don't kill you in game, so I would say it's a safe bet that the poison isn't entirely deadly.
I think the potions argument is a bit off as well. Why would the potions work on a human body if the food does not? Wouldn't it just be safer to say that Minecraft food has magical or unexplained healing properties?
BTW, I don't think snow golems really do any damage. I could be wrong but I don't think they will help protect you much outside of being a distraction.

It's one of those things where, how do we know it doesn't apply now that you are a part of the game world? Is it Steve's body or is it just a world mechanic? Feeding animals tends to heal them as well, so it seems to apply to more than just the Steve.

If you apply real world logic to Minecraft, you get Terrafirmacraft, and in Terafirmacraft, you use things on the ground to make initial tools therefore do not get broken hands.

Step 1: Get lucky location/weather to not die from thirst
Step 2: Run away from zombies and dodge arrows till you are ready to face them
Step 3: find/make a cave to live in, or make a floating skybase.
Step 4:Dig a pit
Step 5:Craft shield to not get shot while luring monsters into your death pit
Step 6: Gather food or whatever else you want to do.
You can outrun most mobs, save skeletons, and even they can't hit moving targets all that well. Fight smart. most zombies cant figure out how to get past a fence. No need to be professional swordsman, when you can just make them fall in a pit, while you have a flying machine with infinite fuel.
on the skeleton part I would just run around until he shoots and quickly hit him and take his bow while he reloads

The arrows are a different story. They are a pixel thick in item form (which means what in terms of blocks? I don’t know, they scale down). Once launched from a bow, dispenser, or crossbow, however, their head-on profile becomes cross shaped, and they are infinitely thin. So either they would split your existence, or they would shatter on impact with your skin and be reduced to dust.

Some tips, in case you ever find yourself trapped in minecraft:
-mobs only target the top half of your bodies. Skeletons will only shoot at your head and upper torso, and the shield is quite large, which allows you to effectively defend against arrows
-golden apples are pretty simple to obtain once you're set up, and much easier to make than potions
-since weapons do a set amount of damage, you may not need to worry about hitting mobs hard
-farming is extremely fast. As you starve super slowly compared to Steve, the extremely quick growth (and bonemeal), a farm is an incredibly good way to stay fed
-all water in minecraft is drinkable, even ocean water. Since there are not 2 separate waters in mc, it's either all salty or all fresh, and since you can chug the stuff to your heart's content, I'm sure it's the latter

How do you know their physical attributes are the same? This is another dimension and creatures. Trees can be different depending on places and soils. Could punch trees fine if they’re soft.
This is admittedly an interesting issue. Dead Space, etc, usually are our dimensions.

They're named after real woods, and I'm not sure oak, spruce, birch, or any other sort of woods in MC are soft.
well as a forestry student, I can say that the slower a tree grows the denser the wood material will be. That's why our forests in Finland are higher quality due to colder climate. Soooo the trees in mc can sometimes get from a shrub to a full lenght within minutes, which would lead to some cotton level density. Altough the time works differently in there as a day is 20mins and I am not going to do the math of how that would correlate to real life. Maybe some few hours, which is still not enough considering the optimum would be like 60+ years....

There are advantages and disadvantage of play on console.
An example of advantage: its so more easy technically talking, i play in pc and console, and in the pc i cant even play with friends because there are a lot of errors.

It would be simple and easy to survive in Minecraft with one difference... Being allowed to have one mod to the game.
Realistically, we as the player would have several mods already installed, given their needs and abilities: NoPunchingTrees, Tough As Nails, etc. The player would be locked at Hardcore difficulty. However, with one forgiveness, the player would likely be thriving in a week or less.
A Crude Start.
This mod makes sticks and stones spawn naturally on the ground, when picked up, giving the player Cobblestone and Sticks when picked up.
This makes our lives a lot easier.
One thing to note: All blocks are about 3 feet in length, width, and height. To climb a hill, you're making approximately 3 foot increases or decreases in elevation. Now try fighting while doing that.

And you can see why it'd be very difficult to survive here. It's not so much the mobs that'll kill you, it's the environment.
