What is your favorite part of Little Italy?
I definitely like the UIC campus quad. I love going there during the summer, walking around with some Mario's Italian Ice, right after a belly full of Italian Beef from Al's.
I forgot to add - Late nights at Jim's Original!
@@DanteeArias1 I agree. It's easy to gain weight quick in the neighborhood.
Joe if u have time all I'm asking is a recommendation of an area to live. I work at Door Dash I'm planning on finding a Delivery job. Thanks
I just got back from Chicago yesterday and Little Italy didn't impress me like Boston's Northend. That one is still mostly Italian businesses. Al's beef and the Italian ice was good. Lol one thing you won't find in the Northend is Starbucks they fought to keep that out because there's many authentic coffee shops.
I love the tour of the neighborhood. Beautiful
I absolutely love this video. Very informational especially visitors that have never been there. I am definitely going to subscribe!!
I’m going to UIC this August and can’t wait to live in this area, looks really nice!
Wow Joe! Amazing guide for me!! I 'll travel for a week on December from Argentina and this was very important to see the neighborhood of my apartment!!!
I love these videos!
Thanks! I appreciate it.
Awesome vid.You are underated with the subs.👍🏽
I appreciate it. your comment made my day! Thank you for the support.
Great video
I used to live at 924 S Carpenter between 1980-1984 and went to Andrew Jackson Foreign Language Academy. Great place to live.
Awesome vid, very informative. Can you do one of Bridgeport and South Shore please?
Thanks Jabril! i appreciate that. I will add those to the videos I plan to do.
Living In Chicago awesome, look forward to them.
I have heard about Pompeii and Sweet Maple Cafe. I would like to try them eventually.
5:32 Stacks Breakfast spot is nice, but did you know it used to be a corner store called T&L? Gentrification has truly revitalized Chicago.
I definitely won't be able to move here in Little Italy it looks very expensive.
Great job, really enjoyed the video! Do you do history of neighborhoods? Were any major buildings destroyed when UIC was built? Maybe some churches or popular schools or cultural buildings? Personally, I was wondering where the Greek church was located. I heard there is a plaque somewhere at UIC but I never seen it. Thanks
I just suscribed
We used to come from the west side when I was a child to get some Italian ice there. We’d get a corn beef sandwich somewhere around there also. Miss those days!!! Also, I went to Andrew Jackson! Wonderful school!!!
I grew up in Garfield Park. I use to haunt Little Italy myself back in the day. I was born in Cook County Hospital.
I went to AJLA, as well.
10:37 Credit Union 1 Arena aka UIC Pavilion. I love my old neighborhood. I love Chicago.
How did I miss this?
I had a friend who lived in that building (public housing)
Hi, greetings from Colombia. Do you know if Chicago has a streetcar/trolley in service ?
Can you do a video on Chicago Englewood neighborhood?
Bruhhh nooo
@@atomic_guy3528 Investors are flocking to Englewood and buying up property and lots at dirt cheap prices. Get in while the getting is good.
I have 3 investor clients that are looking to purchase in englewood right now. I don't think I'll be able to do a video like this through there.
I got accepted to UIC for grad school and its my first choice but my suburban parents are convinced that little italy is like crawling with crime and I'm gonna get shot if I live there. Thank you for this video I can show it to them lol
it is lol
When I went to Chicago Illinois USA to Marry Sara-Jayne the Everton USA Chairwoman 2009 we went to Downtown Chicago and It was fucking Mint...I had to try a USA McDonald's burger meal...Very impressed...
Not a terrible neighborhood, but it’s largely full of college students, medical students, and Medicare professionals. Most people here are largely expats and out-of-towners. As far as actual Italians , I rarely see them , with the exception the Italian restaurants and stores.
Is it possible to speak Italian in Little Italy?
yes, Born and raised by Italian parents and I can speak Italian.
I won't be Little Italy for long. It'll turn down hill in about 10 years.
UIC destroyed the history and culture of little Italy ): oh and took out maxwell street too ..
THANK YOU!!!! 👍
How many mafia members chill in al Italian beef
Reminds me of Satriale’s pork store from The Sopranos
No you gotta go to Scilly to find that out if you ever get a chance go to Palermo that's where it really goes down lol this here is Child's Play
