    You should always cook the flour first at least a minute or two to cook out the taste, then add the milk or cream.

    Looks. So. Good!!! Agree, I'd "cook" the flour until a bit brown before adding the liquid. Gonna try this next time I have overnight weekend visitors.

    This is just absolutely one of those treasured Basic Recipes you can ad lib with and make a delicious meal with what you have on hand. For family meal, can serve with any fruit, milk, maybe an egg cooked any way, any time. Thank ❤️ YOU!

    Girlllll you hurt my heart putting that flower in there and not Browning it.. just a tip, when your sausage is done remove it, put in your flour, cook it till just golden brown, add salt and pepper to taste add your liquid, cook to desired consistency, then add your sausage back in. You will be amazed at the taste! And again just a tip from an old lady that's been making gravy for too many years to mention😂

      I thought the same thing. The flour needs to be in the skillet a little to remove the raw taste before adding the milk.

      Maybe she's doing it the way whoever taught her to cook did it...??? I think some of us are just lucky to have someone who taught us the correct way to make gravy.

      I agree, remove the sausage then put your flour in and brown it a bit. Get rid of that flour taste

    I would add diced onions and green chilies to the sausage before adding the gravy. Also add some grated cheese on top.

    This looks really good but yep there’s a but, it looks like there is to much biscuit and not enough gravy . You gotta have A-LOT of gravy .

    You should make a roux, make it with bacon grease, flour, and milk. Then add the cooked sausage

    There are recipes for the correct way make Sausage Gravy. No oil??? So you can brown the Flour b4 adding the milk. Try it you might like the consistency & the look & taste. 👍
