I think every damn store needs a police officer at the entrance. This is getting out of hand. People who are sick need supplies and yet we have to deal with shoplifters. I recently got Covid and it's serious. I just want to get medicine and leave quickly. I agree with you...must be nice to have a police force in stores. Not everyone has that luxury.

If she was caught doing it 100x that's a solid argument, and probably true. You can manipulate the courts fairly easy nowadays if it's not a serious offense. Possession of drugs can easily end in just rehab for a few weeks/months unless you're caught with a massive amount or in the act of selling it. She's either a smart criminal who got herself off easy or the courts really are just letting anyone do anything. But since she got caught, I'd assume the latter.

If it makes me work harder what is the problem, hell we should be provided free energy drinks not some fuck ass coffee that half the time ain’t even brewed when I clock in. I have thought about this for a while. Doors, doors, and more doors. A simple solution would be for Any Store, to have "two" 3 tiered entry or exits for vetted customers, non-vetted customers, or criminals. Vetted customers get a bar code to pass through quickly using entry/exit #1, while "others" have to wait a few seconds between the opening of each door, using entry/exit #2. Example-entry/exit #2: Pass through 1 door, wait, pass another door, wait, and repeat until you are inside or outside. In the case of criminal conduct, the security guard puts the doors on lock down, until police arrive. This would be less expensive and would be a huge deterrent for shop lifting.
