I love your weekly sets, watch every week. If you ever in the Sac area let’s play a Sunday set, I’d like to add sign language during the dialogue for my deaf families and friends . I coach toddlers and beginning players in the area. We have a cool 3.0-5.0 skill level here to set up multiple sessions for you and your brother Kyle. I also do daily workouts either solo or w friends, we could make some content and wok on those backhand volleys.. 😊 lmk

I'd say you've added several new elements... or at least improved heavily on them. You look way more comfortable with shot recognition and being "intentional" with your movements, shot choice, and positioning than even 2-3 months ago (in short, you look like you're able to use your athleticism better). This was also probably the best day at the net and with quality of returns I've seen from you. When the backhand comes along, I see some 4.0 tourney wins following.

That serve out wide part of the video was funny, I did the same thing in doubles and hit a serve at the water cooler and knocked it down and water went everywhere! I said the same exact thing oh S- T as the ball was flying towards the water cooler! You are playing better and improving a lot. This was a fun video to watch. Good job on the camera work.

While it's great already, I think your serve still has a flaw in the way you pinpoint. Your right foot is moving across. Also it feels like you are moving in first and then unload. Both these things take away forward momentum.
Daniel's shortened low toss serve is interesting. Pretty consistent too for such a tight timing.
Your progress is visible on a monthly basis.

Hey man in the nicest way possible I would like to recommend improving your shot tolerance. Like you typically don’t look comfortable enough on the easy/simple/short shots and I would say flustered on incoming good quality shots. The result, and what brought it to my attention is a ton of short balls and errors. If you’d like, I can go through the video and pick out timestamps where this happens. But it’s not every error though, it’s for example when you get a short ball and answer with another short ball. Also some of the errors are acceptable, but could still be prevented with better shot tolerance. An example of that is when you get two topspin shots in a row deep to your backhand. Sure, that is challenging. But if you don’t want to be challenged then go play pickleball man. I’d like to see you reset the point there. Obviously we’re not trying to win the point from a defensive court position on your weaker wing. But play some good defense with good shape to work your way into an offensive position where maybe you can get around that backhand to rip an inside-out/inside-in forehand.

Nice video! With all the new technology, how do we not have sensors in the balls to tell us if it's on the line or out? flashing lines would be cool. Like it flashes green if on the line and flashes red if goes past line.

@@Winners-Only When you start adding more pronation to your backhand slice drive Trey you will be able to cause more difficulties but not if your slice just sits up short in the court... The serve is fine, if it goes all wild off the court like that, you're maybe rushing the tempo of your serve.
But the one other thing you do have to stop doing is aiming the forehand 6-10 feet high above the net as that high window is only good if you want to do loopy heavy spin to keep the ball deep, but for flat driving the window to aim for is much more lower down anywhere from 1-3 feet over the net and if you are a good pronation driver of the ball then you can use that lower window comfortably. Of course if you want to aim high and hit also flat, you will have to generate much faster heavier spin which will tire you out even more during the match if you did that..... This is why I aim lower so its easier to put the spin on the ball when driving it flat....If you are not good at pronation driving of the ball and can only brush the ball to drive or loop it over the net then you have to use a higher window of clearance to play safer.
The guy you are playing against has got a Reverse Finish or a buggy Whip Forehand. Watch out for that finish that goes above the head as its capable of ripping low short balls over the net with tight spin and pace as he did in 5:12 of the video. The Buggy whip Forehand is capable of generating tremendous pace on the ball and also clearing the netcord by just a foot or a few inches. effective to use it against the low skidding slice balls. Do not use your normal flat forehand finish against low skidding flat slice drives because half the time it will not get the ball over the net and dumps down into the top of the tape. Use the reverse forehand finish to get the clearance and tight spin because the reverse finish takes the racquet up more higher .
Also serve & Volley is good, but not if you go too many times to the well with it, that you become predictable so use it sparingly in your match.
