I recently bought a physical modeling instrument called Anyma V on sale (still 50% off). Anyway they have some really nice real sounding sounds, marimba, plucky sounds. I really like physical modeling, a perfect blend between synth a sampling. Another one I like it Plasmonic. Both have demos in case you want to try them. And yes, the plugin in your review sounds great as well.
The more I play with physical modelled insturments the more I think they are the future, I think it was one of your older comments that actaully got me into physicaly moduled insturments!
@Joe-blogcomposer Thank you, perhaps you could explore what apps are available on Android that can connect to midi controller. I know FluidSynth is one, but hard to find realistic soundfonts.
@Joe-blogcomposer Understandable, but they are improving, especially with less latency. And a heck of a lot cheaper than anything Apple makes. I got new Samsung Galaxy A15 less than $200 and can run apps like FluidSynth to get very portable synth! But, true, no VSTs yet I guess...maybe someday!

Is there an app on Android that can use these nice marimba sounds?
Sadly not

@dtopham100 it’s a really good suggestion but sadly I’m a Mac/iphone/apple user - got nothing android in the house
