Agree 100% on the filler so sick of them idiots that are like no filler on my car... There's to many butchers in the autobody. Nothing wrong with using filler as long as it used properly.
my dad never used bondo..used to be aa they called them then a body and fender man for LAPD then got his own salvage yard and body shop..just used torch.and dollies hammers
In high school, I took auto shop. A guy brought in his 1978 Camaro for some free work. When it was lifted on the hoist, someone bumped their head while ducking under, and 4 pounds of barely cured filler fell off the driver's front quarter panel. Ugliest cheapo patch job anyone ever saw. Instead of reshaping the metal, the local shop slapped excessive Bondo on the panel. Since then, a bunch of us referred to lazy screw-ups as "a 4-pound Bondo job".
Years ago I was trained (coachbuilder) to use lead not plastic fillers. When I went for a job at a body shop they asked me to use filler and I was like what the hell is that? They were shocked I'd never used it :) Now I use filler when needed but "only" thin layers. Much easier and nicer than lead loading.
I had an upholstery business for 30 years and I can tell you for a fact that the overhead consulate with the formed headliner will start sagging way before one with Bows will those are steel rods so unless they have been bent or someone just didn't know what they were doing those will last a lot longer
Alyssa's Grandpa , DAD , Mark is SO COOL and FUNNY and Entertaining and Sharp on the Mopar Rides !!! !!! Thank You Mark for your Super COOL Videos ! I would Dance with you Mark after Every Engine Start anytime !!!!!! I think Mark needs a Pizza Party , where all the work crew have to DANCE AS A GROUP to get any Pizza !!! HAHAHAHA ! The only thing I would say to Alyssa,, is get Your HERO DAD to get a protein drink more healthy than diet soda , as he needs to stay super ENERGIZED to TRAIN all the non DANCEing Monkeys !!!!!!!! next time when you're trying to remove bushing when there not greased pry up with a screwdriver and shoot windex in and they will slide right off a lot easier.
You should be using marine grease on the suspension rubber and shackles. Its not affected by water. Get it on your hand and try washing it off and you'll see the difference
@@geraldswain3259 sure if you want it squeaking so bad you can hear is a block away use dish soap. Energy suspension uses silicone grease. Another rocket scientist lol
I don’t know you can get pretty creative with bondo when you have to pass inspection quick and dirty to get ya on the road and not sitting in the driveway
Mark nosey screwed up on that flywheel he just can't admit it no matter what it is he will never admit he made a mistake even when he knows he made a mistake
gotta love Mark! makes me laugh so much... Great show

I line how you put that piece of
Mat over the carbs. Nice touch, keeps something from falling in them while your building the car. A+
I love this show. I thirst for knowledge. And wholesome entertainment.

Dave Rea is a real nice guy, he's also a wonderful and conscientious tradesman.
Slap stick was a great idea...but then they put a plastic handle on it and they crack all the time.

Looking forward to the day Alyssa takes the reins of GYC from her dad. She's stepped up and definitely earned your place.
Standing by!
thats why filler has a bad name.but 30 years later its still there.back then cars lasted 10 yrs.unless they turned into collectable cars.
Good job Alyssa. The shop needs your talent in leading, while you learn the steps.
Power steering, ac, and 4 wheel power disc brakes would be a must. Could compromise to front discs and rear shoes.
Steve
Alyssa must have had a WONDERFUL mother.
Beautiful lady and Beautiful cars, thats the American Dream
Dave explains brake frame lines took twice as long. Love the color and year.

Shows what you know, absolutely nothing! Grease is a no no !.. Liquid soap is the way to go on fitting any rubber.

Mark just kills me... what a great guy. Looking a little effeminate at 36:29, not that there's anything wrong with that...lol
Is work for this guy. Don't know shit about cars but I'd sweep the floors or something.
I would demand a refund if mark yanked off on my cars fresh drivetrain.
A whole lotta narcissism going on.
Memphis Dan LeLoLai
Have not watched this in a while, damn it is so much more enjoyable without the dramatic bullshit of Darren!
Alyssa's there to make the show nice 🙃 but her hands look quite heavy at times...
Back in the day epoxy primer didnt exist so they did what they had to do

Um Allyssa, an apprentice actually goes to a tech school aswell as works onsite!! you aint an apprentice sweetheart!
I'm exhausted by the lengthy staged comedy. Show me the car.
Man I hate when they ruin a great paint job with a vinyl top. I hate them...never seen one on a car I like.
The owner is an abusive narcissist.
the only person that thinks Mark is funny is Mark
Pshh...
Alyssa will be a much better leader than her father Mark. Mark is too much of a prima dona.
The obscene golf microscopically add because triangle regretfully embarrass like a bitter collision. sticky, enchanted mint
I'm having problems is she actually qualified to do anything apart from look pretty
