    Unbelievable. I had no idea you could get an stc for such a modification.
    I would imagine some reinforcements must be made. I am 250 and tall and did most of my training in a 150 with a big instructor. This would have been nice.

    You were turning 2500 rpm at lift off. I think you will be impressed with the performance improvement if you cn get that closer to 2700. At 2500RPM your engine is producing closer to 162 HP according to the O-360 operators manual. On my Pacer the change from a 61" prop to a 58" was significant.
    I love area, I'll have to get over that way.

      I enjoy cruising at 115-118 mph

      @@MDaggett For what it's worth I did not give up any cruise speed with a climb prop. I do have to turn higher RPM to run the same speed. But the engine is loaded more lightly (lower manifold pressure) so my fuel burn is about the same as it was at any give speed.

    But, although I learnt to fly in a Cessna 150 I cannot imagine what that 180hp engine does for it!
    Plus I never took my dog.

      Yeah… all take big dumps before going flying
