- I have not used this 3d glasses over year, but when I need it, didn’t even charge. Well took it parts jump started the battery with 9v battery. Got working glasses back in 10 minutes.
OUTSTANDING!!!! I just experienced this same problem for the same reason with a pair of long neglected Samsung SSG 3570 CR Active 3D glasses! Hadn't used them for 3+ years now AND they would NOT re-charge. I followed your "repair" steps exactly to successfully revive the battery.........and Viola!!!!!! My glasses are 'awake' again and accepting a normal charging cycle! Thank You VERY Much!!!!!!!!!!!!! [p.s. - I have four other frequently-used, pairs of 3570's that are 5+ years old and completely reliable ....when re-charged at least once, every 4 to 6 months.]
Question, what was the symptoms of it not charging properly? I have 3550 model and when I plug them in they flash red every 2 seconds. That's all they seem to do. When they are done charging, what color should the led be? Thanks
Thank you, replacement batteries seem to only be in the USA and China so this tutorial was very helpful.
Thanks, it saved a lot of money. The charge control in this glasses is very sloppy so that you are forced to throw them away just because of this. The trick worked for me, only I had to jump start directly on the two electrodes that come out from the battery, not from the red and black wires.
Can you explain a little more. Arn't the red and black wires coming from the battery?
Its really nice to see people making videos like this. Ill try this fix when i get home. Thanks :)
Great advice, followed your instructions and now my 3D glasses charge up! Thanks
Dude you are the best! Worked like a charm! thnx so much
Thank you VERY much, Sir!
Thanks a lot. I fixed mine.
Ok so let me get this clear. I should desolder the red wire, then solder a wire from the 9v battery in its place? Then what am I doing with the black wire exactly?
Very nice video! I have a question, is there a way to connect the 9 volts battery to the USB charging port? It would be far easier and one wouldn't have even to open your 3d glases...
You would likely fry the electronics. You must open the glasses and disconnect at least one lead of the battery to try this.
Nice, man. Great video!
Question: Instead of disassembling every pair, would it work if you cut a USB micro end off a cord, connect the end a to a 9-volt battery and then plug that into the charging port? or does this only work if you bypass the charging circuit and connect directly to the rechargeable battery?
You would likely fry the electronics. You must open the glasses and disconnect at least one lead of the battery to try this.
Dude, thanks alot!
👍
I hope this work for Epson glasses too, I have a pair of them, and just one charge the battery, thanks a lot, I will try this, and let´s see what happen.
I have some broken Epson glasses too. Did you find success trying this method on them?
@@BrennenRampton did you?
Did you??
did you?
i have the same problem haven't mine used in 10 years
I do have a active shutter 3d glass, it has no problem with charging, but it's not working. While pressing the button it turns on but the glass is not working, do anyone knows any solution??
You should be careful with those 9 volt leads that are still connected to the 9 volt battery. If they contact each other for too long you’ll get an exploding 9 volt.
