Greetings, Historians! Today, we're going to talk about a character that, while some have forgotten, has remained in some circles and has been talked about a decent bit. In this video, we will be going over his story and possible reintroduction to the Spyro series if the time comes for him to return.

Red is one of those characters I feel sympathy.
His story was quite intense and shocking when it was revealrd he was brainwashed and used for evil deeds.
He even felt he couldn't be forgiven but he was and reintroduced to the society too.
I like your theory, helping Spyro but unexpectedly being corrupted until becone the villain for a new game, quite episodic and interesting.
I have the theory to introduce him, that he actually is in a pursuit of the Sorcerer, who was an elder too, actually the oldest of them, that betrayed them ending with the elders divide for a while, and Red helps Spyro in a new world after the dark magic started spreading, along that causing the elders assemble again. As Red follows the sorcerer's hints, he is starting to get corrupted thanks to the dark magic, being the doing of the Sorcerer, as he needs one elder to fulfill his plan, and who better than Red?
I think at the end, the Sorcerer is defeated but disappears along Red, making them feel they lost a friend again, and the elders along Spyro and his friends find a way to save him and bring him back, leading to a sequel were they must face the two again, once and for all.

I felt impressed with you taking a look to Red, a villain with a story deeper than the other Spyro villains. Someone stained by evil that at the end was saved and join his allies to stop the real villain.

Red coming back would be great if they retooled him a bit. Red can be a new member of the Council of Elders, representing the dragons who colonized Gnorc Gnexus after Gnasty's defeat. Some Elders like Titan and Cosmos don't respect him, over time causing Red to feel depressed. Instead of brainwashing, have the Sorcerer gift him with Shadow Magic. The magic makes most users lose their inhibitions, thereby causing Red to be fully conscious of his actions. In his blind pursuit of power for the sake of prestige, he becomes an unknowing pawn in a grander game of chess. The Sorcerer gives him Shadow Gems to drain the magic of the different realms so he can use them to empower himself, not knowing that most of it goes to the Shadow Realm. With enough power the Sorcerer can break a hole in reality and unleash the creatures of the Shadow Realm on all the realms. Of course we don't discover that until 2 games after Red's defeat.
Thank you for making this Lore video on Red! Not many know of his tragic past and focus more on his character as a villain in AHT. This was very intriguing!
I have always theorized that, in a sequel of "Spyro : Shadow Legacy" , Red would have prepared his kind for the Sorcerer, however, he would have also been really depressed, because he was thinking that he couldn't Atone for everything he has done, plus , Titan would often insult him, always referring to what he has done in his past.
This would eventually lead Red to look for some place where he could not be noticed by anyone and cry in total Desperation, until, in one of these occasions, he would be heard by Spyro and his friends, they would try to console him and try to reassure him, he thanked them for that and promised that he will try to be stronger towards Titan in the future.
Later on, The Sorcerer would attack again, revealing to everyone his strongest creature, which is actually the one that Red has tried to summon and failed to control while he was Brainwashed, seeing this creature again would actually be a Trauma for all the Elders and mostly for Red, making them unable to fight, Spyro, would instead try to fight that creature, however, he would almost being killed by it with just one hit, knocking him unconscious on the ground.
After Spyro wakes up, and completely recovers from his unconsciousness, he proposes to immediately start hunting down The Sorcerer and making him pay for the damage he has just done, however, Tomas would brake him in doing so because he believes that he could die if he goes all the way alone, then his friends, mostly Hunter, would offer to accompany him in his journey, making sure that he would always stay safe, while they are ready to go, Red would propose to accompany them himself, too, saying that he wants to Atone for good, Tomas begs Red to don't do it, because he does not want to see Red either harmed or Brainwashed again, Red then says that he feels like he has to do it, he wants to pay back The Sorcerer, too, for everything he has done to him.
During his journey with Spyro and his friends, Red would gradually put aside his insecurities and would recover his old Personality (the one that he had before being Brainwashed for the first time) while forging a Bond with Spyro and all of his friends.
Eventually (probably after they have suffered many troubles, like, for example, they had to either free Red from the Brainwashing magic again or one of them from it) , they would find out where The Sorceror's Lair is, after they say goodbye to all of their respective Relatives and Friends ( due to being unsure if they would have come back ) , they would start to walk towards The Sorcerer's Lair, however, shortly after leaving the Dragon Realms, they hear a scream behind them, running towards the direction where they heard the scream, they discover that someone is attacked by a large group of Shadow Creatures, after eliminating all but one of them in time, the last one is able to jump on the victim and almost bite him/her before being instantly eliminated by Red, following this, it is revealed that the victim was Titan who then proceeds to violently push away Red, lecturing him on the fact that he could handle everything by himself, Red agrees with irony and prepares to leave with Spyro and the others, then Titan, reluctantly, thanks him and says that maybe he was wrong about him, thus making peace with him.
After Red, Spyro and their friends manage to reach The Sorcerer's Lair, The Sorcerer summons again The Creature that almost killed Spyro before, hoping that this will manage to accomplish his plan while they are fighting it, even though The Creature will give them a fair amount of troubles (for example, it is invincible to certain Attacks/Magic) , they will manage to defeat it, after they reach The Sorcerer, he will be surprised but also happy to see that they have survived, because he wants to end them personally, however, as much as everyone, mostly Red, would really love to defeat him for good, only Spyro is able to harm him, so everyone decide to support Spyro while he fights The Sorcerer, eventually, Spyro manages to defeat him, angered and frustrated that he lost against Spyro again, The Sorcerer breaks his wand, permanently transforming into his monster form, after a long and tough battle against him, Spyro finally manage to defeat him, everyone can barely stand on feet, but they notice that The Sorcerer is about to cast a Final and Destructive Attack that will destroy everything, so everyone, with those few energies they have, run towards The Sorcerer and manage to unleash in unison an Attack of unimaginable Power against him, making him fall to the ground while they are pushed back and knocked to the ground too, exhaling his last breath, The Sorcerer use his Brainwash Magic one last time as a sort of liquid that slowly goes towards everyone saying that, even if he is dead, they will carry over his will, everyone are panicked and try to move away from the liquid but they are too weak for doing so and a brief moment later they all collapse.
After they wake up, they find everyone very happy because they are alive, however, they are quickly panicked and shout to everyone to not trust them because now they are Brainwashed, Tomas quickly reassure them that they have been taken away from The Sorcerer's Lair before the Brainwashing liquid could touch every single one of them, relived that they are free, they join the others in a party where they finally have (unless another sequel is counted) Eternal Peace.
Sorry if I ask this questions, but do you think that this Story is, at least for some parts, generally acceptable?

Nah, you're good with asking questions! The story here seems pretty good, I am curious on why the Sorcerer would use a liquid to brainwash them however, it does seem like he could brainwash others without having something contact them, but then again we don't know how exactly Red was corrupted so that's up to the imagination, creative though.
A sequel to this well... I'm not quite sure, that is sort of the end of his arc in the story. With the Sorcerer gone he's now free from the chains so really I just imagine him going back to the realms and being an Elder. So to answer the last question, I'd say he would have a happy ending.
+@@loreofthedragon I thought about a liquid because, in that way, he could Brainwash more than one charachter at once, plus, I thought that, from the perspective of the Player, the Brainwash Liquid would have given much more Tension in the Ending.
I think that The Sorcerer could use a Spell with his Wand for instantly Brainwashing someone, but if only one of the charachters is Brainwashed, then his/her friends would soon discover it and put an end to that, while having all of them Brainwashed would give him more chances to spread his will even after his death, the problem is that The Sorcerer wouldn't know that the other charachters were coming for rescue Spyro and the others while they were battling, if it wouldn't have been for that, The Sorcerer's plan would have actually succeeded.
Anyway, thank you really so much for this video and for your answers, I was always struggling in my mind for trying to hypothize how Red would have lived in a possible sequel of "Spyro : Shadow Legacy" , but thanks to you, now I know that he would live a happy life, in the end, I imagine that Titan would forgive him, too, maybe not by being saved, but just like Cyril with Cynder (even though the game never shows this at all) , Titan would understand that none of the bad actions that Red made in the past where his fault, thus, in one way or another, Titan would finally forgive him.
Actually, the game itself kind of hints at that saying "Titan, of course, was still angry", that "of course" made me realize that maybe, after a bit of time, would have eventually forgive him.
Sure, in the actual timeline, I don't know if Red knows that eventually Titan will forgive him, but, for that, I can't do anything but accept it, I suppose.
Actually, my last question, hoping that I am not asking too much, is, do you think that Red knows that Titan would eventually forgive him?

Again, you're fine with asking questions, it's part of the reason this channel exists, to start discussions between the community. I don't think that Red would know until the point where it happened, and he would probably just go on and for the most part try to do what he could to help, just my opinion though. +@@loreofthedragon Thanks for your answer, I believe that your explanation would, effectively, end up being the Best Ending, because, since Red doesn't know that Titan will forgive him, that would be a Good Surprise for him, making Titan's forgiveness much more significant to him, making Friendship a lot more Impactful.

Mostly because A hero tail was the first spyro game I played as a kid
And that would be cool to see him help spyro
He helps him in Shadow Legacy.
I resent that, I prefer to have him as a supervillain again (a la Spyro: A Hero's Tail), having him go back to his evil, sinister, wicked ways.

Maybe possibly he doesn't even end up being a villain. After all there's no one saying that we can't make the past games still canon. It could lead to some very interesting situations
Mmm... well tbh with this video I could've been a bit more creative with the speculation part but that is a possibility, actually had another idea where he was from some lost part of the realms? Or rather an elder from another land colonized by the dragons, but it didn't really go much further than that

Reds backstory reminds me of Penelope from the Sly Cooper series. Think about it, started off good, disappeared, seen again with a different personality, showing signs of aggression and lust for power. They never really confirmed this about Penelope, of course they did include a villain with hypnotic abilities, but seeing Red makes me feel that the brainwashing is possible.
I have a very, very big theory about this... about the future of this character... this is my theory alone though... and this WILL be a TRUE one.... I'm gonna prove it, even if it kills me. But, here it is.
Now that the Spyro Reignited Trilogy has been recieved genuinely well, I bet when they work on a sequel to that trilogy (which will be nothing like Enter the Dragonfly or anything beyond that), they might be bring back Red The Evil Dragon and make him evil again (thus, just like in Spyro: A Hero's Tail itself). Oh, yeah, they might make him an antagonist again! (Again, just like in the aforementioned game.)
I'm waiting for several confirmations and/or deconfirmations about such a sequel to happen and such a character to be added.
