Thanks for the long fun Tales playthrough, Yuno!
I fell asleep after 2 hours in, and woke up in the morning when you're about to wrap up just now.
I decided to purchase this game in the future too, I'm glad this game got remastered!

The way I interpret Hubert's behaviour is that the upset he was caused by being sent away was amplified by Asbel not actually staying in Lhant and working to become Lord. The point of the exercise in sending Hubert away is because in a feudal system like Windor has, it would be expected for two brothers to split the inheritance of their father's estate, but since they hold a single township that wouldn't be possible. By having Hubert adopted into another noble family, that removes his claim to power in Lhant and (theoretically) gives Asbel a friendly contact in another powerful family. By refusing his inheritance, Asbel made the whole exercise pointless, which in turn would make it hurt even more. I'm not saying I agree with how Hubert is behaving, but I can understand why he would have this reaction.

YUNONIUM OVERLOAD! It was great having you in my ear while working all day. I couldn't keep up with all the dialog but I at least got the broad strokes from your reactions. Thanks for the long boi strim.

You missed a LOT of skits, even ones that are easy to find =( I'm surprised no-one in the chat tried warning you.

Hi! That would be because I have a specific rule in my chat regarding "backseating." Backseating means telling me where to go or what to do, or making some sort of commentary on me missing things or "not playing the game correctly." This is a blind playthrough and I'm experiencing it at the pace I want in the ways I want. As someone who has played a lot of Tales games before, I know how much content there tends to be in them; they're massive! It's practically impossible to 100% a playthrough the very first time unless you have a bunch of guides open. If I choose to play the game on my own time in the future, it'll be my choice to hunt down skits or rare monsters or items either with or without a guide.
I hope you can understand my stance on this-- While I get where you're coming from, if anything I'll get to enhance my replay value by having more to discover in future runs!!

@@yunohanaki Back-seat gaming can definitely be annoying if it feels like the audience is constantly trying to control how someone plays, but there’s a fine line between that and genuinely helpful tips or advice. For JRPGs like Tales of Graces f, there’s often so much depth-hidden mechanics, side quests, or optimal strategies-that it’s easy to miss things without a little guidance.
It can be pretty frustrating when streamers rush through things, especially if they’re mostly doing it just to “get from point A to point B” instead of soaking in what makes the game special. It's tough to watch at times, especially for a game like this, where the skits, discoveries, and little details are such a huge part of the charm and storytelling. Those skits especially add so much personality to the characters, and they really help flesh out the relationships and lore. For example, there a skit between Asbel and Cheria in the Seaside Cavern (via a Discovery) where they talk about Aston and how sad she felt over his death, whilst also reminiscing on how he would often defend and comfort her whenever she got scolded, which surprises Asbel. This was one of many instances that hinted what kind of man Aston truly was. in spite of how Asbel saw him back in the day.
Streamers and Let’s Players could benefit from constructive input, especially for games that thrive on exploration or mastery of complex systems. Sometimes chat or comments can enhance the experience by pointing out something that enriches gameplay, like a secret arte, an ideal skill build, or even just a funny easter egg they might’ve overlooked.
