This...is perfect. Not just this particular breakdown, but HOW you do it. The phrase-by-phrase breakdown in the tight shot is fantastic, but what makes you my new favorite internet guitar teacher is....it's not about you. You ask nothing of me. This is the best way to learn solos. Performance of the solo, then the solo cut down into reasonably similar licks, numbered, without confusing narration, and with the right tabs, played at a reasonable speed.
If nobody has already said you look like "Jim" from the office, then allow me to be that guy. But seriously, the format you used to teach this is impeccable. I can't stand it when guys spend 20 minutes "umm...uhhh...here's how to bend a note." This was efficient and almost perfect. I also know it was a bit of work, so thank you very much.

The first phrase I play the 3rd fret of the D string instead of the 8th fret of the A, just in case anyone wants to avoid the pinky. I think Mr. Page plays it like you do though.
@@TenThumbsProductions nice, I think it's totally ok play in a different position, in some guitars I believe it will sound better in one position than another, so I don't see any problem in that, I think it might be cool ;)

I've been playing for 21 years man and, with the risk of sounding arrogant, I absolutely consider myself and expert guitar player. Having said that, I've never been able to capture the essence of Jimmy Page's phrasing until this video. Idk why or how it hit me exactly but it did and I thank you for it.

This is the best Lesson I've ever seen. No boring explainations. Just TAB and playing it lick by lick. This is a genius lesson. If anyone wants to learn about scales and other stuff, look it up on your own. This guy gets right to the point. Excellent. I have a few videos I play note for note but I don't slow it down or explain or tab. I think I may have to learn how to do the split screen and tab thing to help anyone who wants to learn. Great job! This is the best "Learn to play lesson" . And great playing BTW. Nevermind the lesson. Nice playing!

First you learn the solo then you learn the timing. Love how it builds the tension by always being a little behind the tempo until the very end. The hesitation on each lick. No guitarists do much of that anymore.

From a guitarist who’s lazily just not leant this, this was a perfect video. The laymen guitarist can picked this complicated piece up by watching this. Yet here’s me - with a 35 year guitar playing laziness just seeing this solo for the pieces of guitarmanship (word?!) it is - loving the craft for making this very obvious but difficult solo so accessible for the guitarist at every level. Very cool. Nice one. Wish all guitar videos were this good. Anymore vids mate? I only have one in return, an original piece from 10 years ago which is what I believe guitar is all about. But yeah, seeing the gifted making the guitar easy in a vid is not easy. I salute you
