@@segfault_000I've just seen them live last week and it was amazing, Romeo had a few errors but not in riffs, Allen is awesome, overall really good performance
My favourite band of all time, randomly found them when i was 14 ( im 36 now) on a local radio station at 3am in the morning with my brother and we were both blown away. Traveled across the country to see them for their first tour in Australia back in 2015 and it was surreal to see the guys in the flesh absolutely killing it.
Same here, I was going to buy a record of White Lion but got The Devine Wings.. So thankful for that mistake purchase. I saw them open for Dream Teater in Stockholm many years ago, Paradice Lost. Best gig ever. 😃👍
I was on my way to a festival and we were checking out all the bands that were going to play. We had no idea who these Symphony X were but a friend had their most recent album and threw it in. It was V - The New Mythology Suite. As soon as the intro was over and the main riff for Evolution started I was hooked and have been a fan ever since.
Cuánta razón......yo empecé hace muchos años ya ni recuerdo pero más de 25 años que no lo conocían ni su familia 😅 pero bueno yo buscaba descubrir bandas nuevas.... recuerdo también a Concepción con Roy Khan....etc
Hell yeah Symphony X! I first got introduced to them all the way back in 2008 with the song Serpent's Kiss off the album Paradise Lost. Been into them ever since
Will always remember during college being with my buddy and we somke some weed and the he says: "I have something to show you" and then he pressed Play. This was the Divine Wing of Tragedy album. I was blown away. The riffs were amazing and the composition/arrangements so sophisticated. We listened to the whole album in one go that night and I am since a fan. Gonna see them in Montreal in two weeks!
MICHAEL ROMEO is the lead guitarist for Symphony-X, he has some solo tunes that are fantastic. Check out his song "Hybrids (OFFICIAL VIDEO)" ruclips.net/video/5aM9Zpx6I6Q/видео.html I think you will enjoy it!
And two albums in solitaire that i love: War of the worlds I & II Fear the unknow, Djinn, Metamorphisis, Divide and Conquer, Maschinenmensch por Parasite are examples of song i listen 'on repeat' From Symphony X.. Sea of Lies, nevermore, Domination, or Evolution are some of my favourites I would like to recommend another band.. but they don't have good videos on YT to listen. But can try Spotify: Grand Magus, "To live and Die in solitude" or KIngSlayer"... Powerfull songs with great riffs.. for a TRIO.
The first song I've ever heard from Symphony X, my favorite band. I'll never forget it. Twenty years ago, during a class interval, my friend Lucas showed me this song on this white mp3 player. Got hooked immediately.
This was the first aong I heard from them on a metal tv show late night in brazil. At the same day I heard Angra and Dream Theater. My 3 favourite bands ever since.
Fora powerful vocals of Symphony x Chuck out songs like: Heretic, Set the world on fire + occulis et interni, Domination, Serpent's kiss, Iconoclast, Children of a faceless god, Dehumanised, and so on. Enjoy!!!
Arjen Anthony Lucassen released recently an album with his other project: Star One - Revel in Time Russell Allen (Symphony X, Adrenaline Mob) is guest vocalist on "28 Days (Till the End of Time)" - Timo Somers (Delain) - guitar solo on "28 Days (Till the End of Time)" Michael Romeo (Symphony X) - guitar solo on "Fate of Man" - Brittney Slayes (Unleash the Archers) is guest vocalist on "Fate of Man" According to Arjen, Russell is one of the best male vocalist ever - Elisabeth from the Charismatic Voice agrees - she recently reacted and analysed the title track of the album's a 24-minute musical interpretation of Homer's Odyssey, an epic poem about the journey of ancient Greek hero Odysseus. Inferno is the opening of this album. Me, I'm just looking forward seeing Symphony X, Nightwish, Epica, Blind Guardian, Sabaton, w.m. at Hellfest 2022 in France next month ;o)
Michael Romeo likes to do that kind of a riffs similar to classic instrumental songs. And his shredding abilities are something like legendary Yngwie Malmsteen. Such a genius composer, guitarist and a metal God in general. Check out his War of The World albums part 1 and 2 (part II released recently). Great stuff. And check out The Odyssey. That song is like 24 min of pure symphonic progressive power metal perfection. You re gonna love it
The vocalist has like a 4 octave range, this is only about 1.5 of them. Later alvums get rougher and deeper, earlier albims are more... My taste of higher and melodic. Sadly, after this they just sort of went Dream Theater's route of hard speed metal, and abandoned the "symphony" part of their name
@@surfeit5910 i hear this often but i dont think they abondoned the "symphony part" of their name... (maybe in Underworld its very vague). they used to straight up lift parts from classical music and now its all original and its cool to hear what michael has learned in terms of stylistic divices from classical music. i really love their old stuff, but their new stuff isnt using much less classical "knowledge"/"techniques". and they were really fucking heavy ever since they started... if you would record "dressed to kill" from their 2nd album, with todays equipment it would be really fucking heavy. though. i hope their next album will be going back more to iconoclast vibes or include some more earlier influences again. dont get me wrong i liked Underworld but its to catchy for me. not technical enough. not sym x enough. i kinda want to see a modern epic from them. i really like their epics much more then any other bands. with most others it seems like they just do it for the sake of it, but symphony x actually has something to tell for 20 fckin minutes straight.
When it comes to Symphony X, I am unashamed to say that, I like it with extra cheese on the vocals please, thanks! 😁 I am not a huge power metal guy, but this album and the 2 that followed were in heavy rotation for a decade for my gym playlist. These boys are something else! Seriously though, if you haven't already, you should check out their album "Iconoclast" from 2011. Russell, the singer, has more of a James Hetfield'ish vocal approach on that one. With more range and a lot less adlibbed "Yeeaaahs"! 🤣🤣
Have you ever heard of DGM? They are fire! The guitar player is off the hook and the vocals are top shelf! This is a Spanish band that sings in english better than any of us could ever sing! The live video from MILAN is so intense and perfect that Nightwish fans would be pulling out their hair if they heard this band! DGM is the real deal! Please react to the secret 1 and 2 from the live in MILAN show. YOU WON`T BE SORRY!!!! First two songs of the show!
You guys have to react Bunga Bangsa videos. She is a 17 year old drummer from Indonesia and she is amazing. She covers Dream Theater and they're so good that when she turned 16, Mike Portnoy and Jordan Rudes congratulated her through a video. ruclips.net/video/nBkrHZrKDe8/видео.html
Symphony X ... best band in this old world, more Symphony X guys !
Russell Allen has the best voice (in my opinion) in all of metal. Symphony X is a wildly underrated band in what is unfortunately a niche genre.
👍👍👍👍🙏🙏🤟🤟🤟♥️
Just as good (if not even better) live, too
I wish they growled

Same with me
Symphony X is the one band that makes me proud and happy to be from New Jersey. 🤘🏻❤️
There a band like them that hardly anyone knows about look up,
Odyssea - Tears in Floods - Creatures.
@@robmorris4056 great musicians… but the vocalist is way too nasally sounding for me.
Overkill is from new jersey also...i think
@@robmorris4056 god those vocals are awful
But its one guitar
its only Michael Romeo , and he is the one that writes the instruments part of song
Shympony x es lo más grande que uno puede llevarse a los oídos.
IMPRESIONANTE

Ahh, so u want gruntier vocals? no need to go anywhere! just listen to this same band
Symphony X - Domination
Go for it, u won't regret
I played domination for a bassist friend, first 5 seconds he was like "ouch!"
Had that into as my ring tone for the last ten years. Awesome band 🇬🇧🤘
His vocal range is insane, one of the best singers on the planet!
No doubt!!

I see Symphony X, take a free view and upvote!
The Walls of Babylon off of their Paradise Lost album. Pure brilliance.
This was the first aong I heard from them on a metal tv show late night in brazil. At the same day I heard Angra and Dream Theater. My 3 favourite bands ever since.
Escute Nevermore, Redemption e Fates Warning.
Vc ficará maravilhado com essas bandas de metal progressivo, são muito melhores do que o Angra Atual
That guitar intro with the odd time signature is... 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥.
Wicked..... The next song is another banger.

Odyssey was there last good album. Earlier Symphony X is where its at.
@@dagoelius I 100% agree with you. Their newer albums are heavy, but they've lost a lot of what made them truly great
Kansas flows freely in the veins of Symphony X. That is not a bad thing.
You should check out their song "Walls of Babylon" (the vocals stay in the lower registers more in that one)
At "The Odyssey" you can hear the hole journey, the lirycs are beautiful and you can even imagine the horse ride!!
You would probably like their song Walls of Babylon a lot.
They thought it was an intro, but it’s through the whole song.

YES! SX!
Russel Allen just might be on the short list of best singers ever, regardless of genre.
You guys should react to the song Paradise Lost by them. Beautiful melodic masterpiece with really nice piano and emotional vocals.
