Vilde and Simon make a great combination in this grossly challenging popular master piece. Clarity and deeply felt musicality is everywhere. Simply super.
This is a display of beauty, the beauty of violin playing. Vilde Frang's violin playing has that dimension, floating weightlessly, but resting on a competence, technical and musical, that gives her room to excel in all passages, but at the same time a playing that rejects all external flair, only to concentrate on the inner core of Mendelssohn's music. Vilde Frang's interpretation of this concert is, as I see it now, the best I have ever heard. Together with Sir Simon Rattle and the Berliner Philharmoniker, she has here created a musical atmosphere that is completely convincing.
Fantastic violin playing, music making, re-inventing the mendelsohn as if she was writing it on the spot. Hopelessly bad camerawork, missing all the important violinistic moments even missing the glorious end where you HAVE to see the soloist not the back of the orchestra! Apart from that it was beautiful, orchestra and conducting also fabulous! Totally in love with this performance! ❤
Kreisler would have repeated his famous statement when he first heard Heifetz: "we might as well break our fiddles on our knees" What a marvellous soloist. What lyrical interpretation.
What a fascinating violin playing by Vilde Frang! Together with Berlin Philharmonic and Sir Simon Rattle she makes this music a shimmering pearl. Her playing is so technically brilliant that it seems as if the difficulties in playing this spledid way are none. She just hit it out of the park!
Went to her concert in Eindhoven today. It is a pity that she has not record this piece in any CD. Really expect listening to her playing of this piece in a live concert in the netherlands or somewhere nearby😃
I've just listened to the Perlman version and thought -- I believe Frang's is better. So hopped over to here and I'm not disappointed. Vilde Frang is astonishing in what she evokes from that instrument. What the years will bring to her and to us!
Hopelessly bad camerawork, artistic crap, we want to see the soloist in the important moments, both hands visible, and that meaningful look at the orchestra after the first notes of the third mvt, important, look at the soloist, she is leading plus violinists all want to see what she does, it is not a symphony! Vilde is incredible, orchestra great too, but a lot remained invisible because of the quasi artyfarty filming, why?

Oh my... This is refreshing. Seems a new piece all of a sudden, and without messing with what's in the score. I definitely like.
She plays with so much passion. Well done! Vilde Frang

كم أحب هذه العازفة لديها كاريزما رائعة وتفاعل مع الكمان لدرجة تحس إن الكمان بين يديها فيه روح ويتكلم

Unreal. It's so good.

A reduced Berlin Philharmonic still sounds pretty good. Frang is outstanding, as always.

Never heard of her. But I have now!
WHY DID THEY END THIS WITHOUT LETTING US HEAR THE CHEERS
from DVD, there's cheers and an encore, but I guess the uploader decided not to show them

I haven´t heard of this "Mondelssohn" before, but apperently he makes nice music :-)

ヴィルデさんの名演奏だ。この音色を奏でられる人は少ないです。☆
モーツァルトのバイオリンとビオラの協奏交響曲も、とても良かった。

Anyone watching this beacuse of Emmanuel Pahud in the background?
Who is he?
She tends to be sharp in the highest registers. Tempo a little slow for my taste but really excellent playing.
Mondelssohn? 😂 She plays it extremely well anyway.
I cannot find a composer called Mondelssohn anywhere.
I guess you mean Mendelssohn.
Very nice camera work! Use of a drone? Great performance by Ms. Frang as well...

What is the orchestra? and the conductor? and the place they performed? and the year of performance? I'm triggered about this.
Conductor is Sir Simon Rattle, so might be Berlin Philharmonic?
@@jonathanhunt5618 yes it is the Berlin Philharmonic.
The year has been mentioned: 2016. "Europakonzerts" are on May 1st, aniversary of the Berlin Philarmonic. There is no indication of place.
