  • This video is about programming keys for Mitsubishi Lancer Sedan 2008 CJ the key programming part is straight forward with the AD MVP and the M8 key programmer, the remote for the car did not program, Both the VVDI and the Key DIY aftermarket remotes were tested, but its most likely a problem with the car and the remotes did not take into the car. This is just an on the job video for other locksmiths to see what's involved and see some of the key programming machines in use.

    i have given up on using aftermarket mitsubishi remotes (same shape/buttons, similar to OEM) as they dont work for this CJ model. The pairing sequence is a hit or miss. But VVDI and KeyDIY ones do work even with the trunk release, tried and tested.

    When I immobilised an Australian 2006 Mitsubishi Lancer I generated the ID60 chips with the CN900 then used the T300 to add the keys to the car then usd the KD-X2 to generate the remote I also used the T300 to add the remotes all worked well

      @@quizgu183 you will have to see if you have the remote central locking key-less entry box if so then the answer should be yes
      or you can give your vin number to the Mitsubishi dealer and they can tell you if you have key-less entry for that car

    i just done a 2007 Mitsubishi Triton the other day and used the X-Tool Pro 2 i had some problems at first. I follow the X-Tools instructions, It was only able to put one remote in the system would not accept the second remote. I knew the new KD remote was the correct settings because in trying so many times going through with process cancelling all remotes from the system.
    I was able to put in the new KD remote but again would not accept the second orginal remote.
    How i done it
    I did not turn the ignition on ( as instructed ) by the X-Tool I just put the orginal key in ignition without turning the key to the on position and program the remote by pressing the Unlock 3 times with the key in the ignition.
    Then i put the New KD remote in ignition quickly ( not turning key on ) just pressed the second New KD remote Unlock button 3 times Bingo it went in. Job Success

      @@DrLockShop Hi thanks for the feed back, ive been using the X-Tool for aound 4 -5 months now and with the SRS Tech back up guys in Sydney its been very easy to use and very suscessful on the cars listed in the SRS. I am still learning but as i was a Mechanic in my younger days working for the likes of Rolls Royce and BMW, Mercedes , Porsche etc specialising in the early Fuel and Ignition system with very little equipment and info. So its interesting keeps me old brain ticking over with the challanges. I am always watching your lastest Videos on new equipment very helpfull and what i like is you dont hide when you make a mistake. So keep up the good work and many thanks again.
      Another thing i learned i was doing an Toyota 86 adding another key into the system and i could not get the remote fuction to operate it was a manual car. I follows all the instruction in the X-Tool and spoke to the Tech guys and still could not get it to operate. Then i sat in the car and as an old Mechanic i automacticaly put my foot on the clutch as i would always do in a manual before trying to start the car old habits never died. I happen to press the remote buttons with the X-Tool still connected. Bingo in it was a success. I Told the Tech Guys in Sydney they said the car the set up the X-Tool on here in Australia was a Automatic car not a manaul. Hope this Helps somebody. Paul ( Car Key Guys ) Brisbane

    If you don't have the MUT-III tool, the Mitsubishi transponder remotes may require the following 2-step process:
    1) program the transponder via an appropriate OBD IMMO device (as you have done in this video).
    2) program the key transmitter function in the following manner:
    a) insert key blade into ignition (do not turn on). This activates the internal switch
    b) using suitable jumper wire, jump pin No's 1 & 4 of the OBD/DLC port (NOTE: Do not jump wrong pins)
    c) within 10 sec's, press the HAZARD button 6 times (the central locking should operate to indicate Learning Mode)
    d) on 1st transmitter, press the Lock button once (brief pause), then press lock button twice again (central locking should operate to confirm successful programming).
    e) Repeat 'Step d' on all subsequent remote transmitters (central locking will operate to confirm successful programming).
    f) Remove key blade from ignition
    g) Remove jumper wire from DLC port.

      unfortunately the jumper method only works up to 2006 mitsubishi models (as i've read in other online documentations) for 2007 onwards, an OBD tool is required. But the sequence to add a remote seems to be different according to regions. This video does provide some clues though.

    Ok Guys I have a question regarding keyless entry on Mitsubishi Lancer DX 2012 as most probably know this car doesn’t have that remote Key it only has a plain Key 🔑 programmed of course. I want to have a Remote Key to open doors as you may know this DX comes with factory power locks & Windows But to get in I have to use the key in the door. I’ve been told by a dealership I Can Not program a New Remote Key to unlock my doors!! I don’t understand this where it has factory Locks. Can someone answer this question? Please please please. I DO NOT WANT AFTER MARKET!! Thanks 🙏

    • @DrLockShop
      @DrLockShop  5 лет назад

      Sounds like the car dose not the a receiver, a part to covert the signal from the remote sent to the car to operate the central locking , why it dose not have one , and if you can use factory parts from another model "I don't know". Maybe an auto electrician could comparer the wiring diagram between the models and see what's missing, and if you can add parts to your car, but it will be genuine parts with an after-market install if possible because your car might not have the wires or plugin point, and sounds expensive if possible, that's my guess, maybe someone will have a different answer

    It's a real pity that you're not in Brisbane! I'd happily try my pile of crap Autel MS908P on a CJ Lancer (yet to do one myself as I seem to mostly get Holden, Ford & Toyota) but every single Toyota I use it on (be it proximity or not) it says the programming has failed yet the keys work flawlessly!

    • @DrLockShop
      @DrLockShop  6 лет назад

      Hi, I wish one tool would work 100% for everything, At least you can get them moving with the key. For Ford and Holden the MVP or M8 has worked for me, For Toyota I always seem to be doing the manual way using the door and brake peddle

    Watching the video when in the vehicle programming the keys you used the old model key as key one when the unit instructed to push door unlock key one you chose key two. I could be wrong but the sequence probably needs to be correct.

    Mitsubishi remote programming is bullshit especially with anything but a zedfull.
    Couldn't get an outlander 2014 to work or. 2010 lancer with mvp/xtool/keydiy
    Plugged the zedfull in.. straight in.
    Shame I don't own a fkn zedfull.
