    You could have cleaned and wiped the screen before performing the outdoor test. But hey, Merry Christmas!

    In terms of the battery life, it's debatable, but I always thought that OLED displays consume more power that IPS ones. The dark theme helps, but still. 5 hours somewhat disappointing, where inside the product specification they claim more than 10hours for diff workloads(though they use IPS there)

      yes, it is disappointing to see a very low battery output from this year's X1

      So are you keeping it?

    • @justbekos28

      @@NicksTech no I'm going to return it. I need something with at least 8-10hr battery life that's thin and lightweight. I was hoping Lenovo would update with new bios or power updates but nothing so far.

    Hi, How's the glare on it? I just purchase it with OLED screen and I'm a little bit nervous! Thanks

      The glare was not bad. I've seen worse on Dell XPS and others. At full brightness outdoors it was still readable.

    What resolution/scaling you running in this video? Can you show a close up clip with at its native 1800p as well as no scaling? Like to see how the text appears on websites and Windows menus.

      Sorry, i ended up returning it. I had set it to 125% scaling and it was decent text viewing size. I remember going smaller and it was harder to read...

    Oled 2.8k vs IPS 4k:
    Which one is better? For Outdoor Experience? For my eyes if i use my laptop 8 hour a day? I only use vscode for all time

    • @justbekos28
      @justbekos28  2 года назад +3

      For outdoors, either is fine I guess but for better battery experience, I'd stick with regular IPS. 4K IPS might be same as OLED version, I have not tested the 4K.

    • @iWasimAbbas
      @iWasimAbbas 2 года назад +1

      I have X1 Carbon Gen 8 4K and its glossy. I don't get more than 3-4hrs and I don't think they very much usable than their IPS counterpart. I personally think 1440p is a good balance between screen real estate and battery timing, and anything over 14" should have a 1440p as standard in 2022. But they difficult to come by in that 16:10 aspect ration.

    Video meetings take a lot of battery. I'm not sure how many laptops would be able to survive 4 hour straight. Has anyone tested this?

    • @justbekos28
      @justbekos28  Год назад +1

      Did a 7hr video Microsoft teams session and it died around 4 hours, I was doing this as a test with one of my calls. Wasn't a great experience, just got the z13 and will try a similar test and post.

    • @justbekos28

      @@bora8254 is better than X1 gen10. Battery life is amazing on OLED screen, a bit heavier, performance was good, heat issues similar to X1, camera is similar, sound is better on X1, ports are better on X1.

      I am looking for a laptop oled for internet and movies. What do you think about the ThinkPad X1 OLED gen 4 ? Also Asus 2022 is great with oled but is pricey especially the 16 " art pro model.
