What did you think saved GT from cancellation?

Super Saiyan 4, new GT Villains, and having consequences with the Dragonballs. They have great ideas, but it is such a shame that they couldn’t continue GT any further without Goku.

I would say Super Saiyan 4, the consequences of using the Dragonballs with the Black Star Dragonballs leading to the Earth’s destruction and the Earth Dragonballs leading to the birth of the Shadow Dragons and the concept of Shadow Dragons as villains!
He was actually a very good villain. And it made me so sad that he was even able to turn Bulma evil.
One of my favorite aspects of his character was when he literally used a saiyan's abilities agisnt them! Reaching its peak when he become a Golden Oozaru!
They also, the Tuffles, can make the Saiyans look like kittens.

Cooler made a brief appearance during the Super Junanagou Arc, when all the past villains escaped the Afterlife.

Super Saiyan 4 is the only unique transformation that doesn't require a new hair dye.

Actually, Cooler is in GT during the early hell 17 arc but as a blink and you'll miss him moment.

I look at it as a nod to the Anime movie series seeing as how GT is the sequel to the Z anime adaptation of the original manga
Honestly, I think the character work helped GT as well. Everyone seemed to have genuine growth as people not just power. Some less than others, but its there and when compared to SUPER its like night and day, especially with Goku.
Agreed. You notice in GT that Goku, while still loving a good fight, doesn't just stupidly go "ooh. New baddie is strong. I'll let him go again and again so they get stronger so I can have a fun fight".
He also doesn't intentionally keep putting his family in Danger just for the thrill of the fight.
Character growth Lightyears ahead of Super Goku
Bebi was certainly the start of GT getting good. He's an amazing concept and was executed well. And I can easily see him (and at least Omega Shinron) adapted to Super. He's a great counterpoint to all the sayain lore they've been doing. The great revenge of the TRuffles for all the evil of the sayians.
Also with the constant joke of Bulma using the dragon balls for selfish reasons I can see the potential for the evil shenrons or at least Omega.

I would love the evil dragons, hell, the super dragon balls have enough mystery to be a part of that now too.
Super is lining up *so well* to give us rebooted GT ideas. They did it with Broly and it was amazing, and most fans seem to want more. Let's keep the train going!!!
@@lapplandkun9273 I don't count anything out. GT good ideas still get a lot of use elsewhere in the brand as Masako mentioned, so there is always a chance we can see them adapted and a new spin put on them like Broly got.
I'm not holding my breath that it will happen, but I feel like the possibility exists based on what I see lining up. Like my idea for SS4 is for Broly to achieve it, it gives him a unique form like Goku, Vegeta, and Gohan have and the Broly movie mentions several times he has the power of the great ape without having to transform. It's not 1:1 but there's still elements of the original.
When masako goes full harbinger and said "assuming control" I was in awe......

Not gonna lie, the Tuffleisation plan sounds like an awesome idea for a story. You could do that as a post GT "What if?".

@@SuperMandibleclaw Honestly I was thinking more like, in the years after Goku has left an invasion of Tuffleised creatures attack Earth and our remaining heroes must fight to defend the planet. It might explain why the Brief and Son family aren't familiar with each other come the end of GT.

I think it would have been cool if Dr. Myuu was the scientist who rebuilt Freeza, and then you could have said that Freeza was a Machine Mutant “prototype”.

Best villain in the series with one of the best backstory for a villain in the franchise (who even managed to take over the world & gave Vegeta one of his most iconic looks ever). I even have his action figure in his final form I purchased from a convention years ago
I would love to see Super Saiyan 4 return because I'm tired of seeing transformations we're only their hair color changes I want to see them change and look more primitive because they are monkeys after all they turn into giant gorillas they originally had tails which is what makes Super Saiyan 4 so damn perfect

Wish we get to see more of the Tuffles. Perhaps there could be some few survivors somewhere in Universe 7.
Definitely one of my favorite villains in all of DB. The shadow dragons were cool but I'd definitely think it should have been more of a call back arc with having the other Z fighters fight their own dragon. They've all had a wish granted that could have given life to a different dragon so seeing them in one more fight would have been a nice way to wrap up GTs final saga

I’d have to say Super Saiyan 4 had to have stopped the cancellation of GT. Just seeing it for the first time had to have everyone blown out their damn minds to see Goku have a state that looked so Saiyan like and yet it makes sense
I personally thought goku turning into a kid again was genius because they brought back that og Dragonball vibe
7:12 Close, but If I remember some source, Super Saiyan is a fifty times multiplier and the Great Ape is a ten times power boost, so the golden great ape would be a five hundred times boost.

SSJ2 *is* a 100x multiplier.
Meanwhile, the Golden Oozaru was, as far as I recall, did not have a designated power multiplier since it a transitory form. SSJ4 however, has a multiplier of 10x. That is to say, 10x that of SSJ3, which provides a 400x multiplier. Thus, SSJ4 grants a terrifying *4000x* multiplier.
@@Center-For-I.E.D.Mismanagement SSJ4 also doesn’t have an official multiplier as far as I’m aware (the 4,000x comes from the fact that Goku uses the 10x Kamehameha), but I do know that GT Uber fanboys (not regular fans; fanboys) will still tell you that you’re off by at least three zeroes and that it’s at least 4,000,000x.

You can easily find the info I provided on the DragonBall wiki. The 10x Kamehameha is a direct reference to SSJ4's multiplier.
The "uber fanboys" are clearly delusional.
@@Center-For-I.E.D.Mismanagement I look at things like the Daizenshu, which make no reference to GT. The Wiki doesn’t state an actual multiplier either, just that it can boost the power of attacks with the 4,000x being the default assumption due to the 10x Kamehameha like I said. The only thing we’ve really got is Old Kai saying it seems to work like Gohan’s Ultimate form by drawing out all of the user’s power with the GT Perfect Files saying basically the same thing (at least as far as the Wiki states).
He's the perfect revenge weapon for the Tuffles.
And he's a deadlier than Frieza.

I don't know if you remember the old theory that Vegeta wasnt a full saiyan thats why they had to use the waves to cause him to transform. Did he ever transform without it I honestly don't remember
Sometime during the Moro Arc in the Super Manga when they were talking about OG 7-3 being a machine made by this advanced alien race, I though that it would be a way to introduce Dr. Mu and the others into the canon Dragon Ball Super, like they were the ones that made the OG models. OG 7-3 is the Amazo of Dragon Ball, you cannot tell me otherwise, and the other models too.
In my opinion gt had a lot of good ideas even if they weren’t executed the best, especially when overusing the dragon balls came to bite them in the ass
In my own head canon I always thought of Golden Oozaru as being a 500x multiplier as Oozaru is 10 times that of a base Saiyan, and Golden Oozaru seems to be almost a Super Saiyan version of THAT... and Super Saiyan 4 is that power condensed into a pure fighting form. So using that logic Super Saiyan 4 is a 500x base multiplier, the way I saw it.
I saw ssj4 as either ssj3 x10 or a ssj form that gets stronger the more it fights so the multiplier goes up each time(if not the user as a whole get stronger as a result)
Golden Oozaru is more likely a 500x multiplier, as it a hybrid if Super Saiyan and Oozaru
Sounds right. Ss2 is a 2x and Ss3 is 4x on that. Multiply that with Super Saiyan's 50x multiplier, you get a 400x multiplier.
Golden Great Ape being a 500x checks out as an upgrade. Of course, if Ss4 is indeed an 8x stacking multiplier, that means Goku goes from a 500x boost to a 3200x boost.
@Masakox i know im late to say this, but I'm dying to hear about a sega of the Tuffels race more exspanded and used in a good story.
Golden Great Ape is SSj1 + Great Ape, so it should be x500 (50x10) which would make it a bit stronger than SSj3!
6:30 He actually is, he's shown taking part in the rampage when all the villains escape Hell. Don't ask me how though, since GT is canon to the Z anime and Cooler was never in the Z anime.
Honestly, my only real issues with the Bebi arc is that his backstory suddenly stated the Saiyans came from a different world than the Tuffles, which is in contradiction to what Raditz said back at the beginning of Z - there he said the two races evolved on the same planet, giving their conflict a sort of Thal V. Kaled vibe...sorta - and also showing that they somehow came to the Tuffles world while still wearing caveman shic... If they'd been in Frieza Forces armor and undersuits, I might have overlooked the retcon, but as is, I must reject. Bebi was a pretty good villain, though, no denying that.
I think the lowest the multiplier for Golden Oozaru could be is 500 (SSj is 50, oozaru is 10).
So overall, slightly stronger than SSj3 (which is 400x).
Goku was ssj3 when he went Golden Oozaru though.
Meaning 50 x 4 (was ssj3 2x ssj2 again?) X10.
So like x2000.

I believe golden oozaru has a multiplier of oozaru and super saiyan multiplied. So 500x. Bebi vegeta was super saiyan 2 so his saiyan multiplier was only 100x (plus whatever power bonus bebi was giving vegeta). When he turned oozaru he got that same boost. However, ss4 is 10x more than ss3 so gokus multiplier was was 4000 (ridiculous). But, bebi’s power bonus to vegeta made him more on par with goku, but still no match. If bebi vegeta would of went ss4, I think he would be able to defeat omega shenron by himself.

Oozaru = x10 multiplier, SSj 1 = x50 multiplier. 50 x 10 = 500. Golden Oozaru is a x500 multiplier from base.
Its amazing no matter how much energy they shoot into it the Sun cannot blow up or dissipate or make a real solar flare as destructive reaction

@7:11 Masako, why on Earth would you say that the multiplier for golden great ape is 100 instead of at least 500? Super Saiyan is at least a 50 times multiplier (with some arguing that grade 4 has a higher multiplier). Golden great ape is Super Saiyan stacked on top of great ape, so if we multiply the 10 times multiplier of the great ape by the 50 times multiplier of Super Saiyan (at minimum), then the multiplier of golden great ape would be at least 500.

It would have been cool to have the Goku Black/Future Trunks arc in GT. Ssj4 Merged Zamasu would’ve been insane. There’s great fan art of it. Though you’d have to change the ending and maybe just give Trunks SSJ4 instead of SSJ Rage.
