In this "What If" scenario, the character Cui betrays Frieza and aids in hunting down Vegeta on Namek. However, he learns that Vegeta has grown significantly stronger since their last encounter. Cui also overhears that the Saiyans grow stronger after surviving life-threatening situations. After witnessing Frieza's defeat at the hands of the Super Saiyan, Cui decides to desert the Frieza Force and hides out on Earth. He learns about Earth's culture and gets a job, but also keeps a low profile to avoid the wrath of Vegeta or King Cold. He plans to use the Dragon Balls to bring Frieza back to life and gain control of the empire, but ultimately decides to stay hidden and wait for the right opportunity.

Cui is lower than Yamcha and Raditz in the totem pole….to the point he is forgotten.
@@daoswarrior2033 I think about him often because of the implication he represents. That being that some inconsequential Frieza force member was as strong as the most powerful Saiyan in history despite them being infamous galactic conquerors.
Yeah, I think i remember him better due to budokai tenkaichi 3, as he was even in a trailer! So that helped him stand out more (his ultimate helped too).
I mostly remember Cui because of DBZA Kai. "Hi Cui." (Cui explodes.) "Bye Cui."
Cui always stuck out to me because of his implied history and rivalry with Vegeta. I wish we got more flashbacks and stuff with that.
It's weird to think about too since Saiyans seem like the only ones who train and get stronger, whereas the rest of Frieza's army seem to just be born a certain strength and stay there. But they all say that Cui and Vegeta have kinda always been around the same strength.

I have good ideals for what ifs like what is ox king raised goku or what if vegeta was good from the start
Will CUI now have to work in an office? This is ridiculous, now imagine the CUI taking advantage of its knowledge and the technology of its ship to set up its own travel agency and space exploration. Imagine CUI going to join the SPECIAL EARTH EXPLORATION PROGRAM, and under the supervision of the King Furry, the world's leading blue dog!
Now imagine how much suck-up CUI didn't satisfy, and worse, the flattery bearing results, and CUI promoted to Chancellor General and Viceroy, what would Vegeta do?
But how is Cui supposed to use "LOOK BEHIND YOU! IT'S LORD FRIEZA!" against Lord Frieza?

In the games I always interpreted it in a "Lord Frieza; (behind you!)." kind of sense.

Cowardly characters are the easiest to make changing side stories but at the same time are the most likely to regress, makes me wonder about a King Cold turns good story.
I mean, when you think about it, Vegeta and Cui DID have a longstanding rivalry before the saiyan saga, presumably. So really, he could have spent time training, were he to overcome his cowardly instincts. Maybe he just needs to spend more time with Krillin, Everyone's Friend.
I'm trying to think of what the other 3 April what ifs would be. I'm going to guess "What if Appule turned good?", "What if Tarble was the Legendary Super Sayian?", and "What if Goku married Mai?".
Yay! Cui! I hope Cui manages to actually find a way to be as powerful as the main cast. He was capable of keeping up with Vegeta for several years, so it should be possible.
Imagine if Cui learned something like Kaio-ken or he did the Mystic Ritual, even better, we could have SUPER CUI
You know what I'd like? If Cui did become strong enough to actually hang with the main cast, but after every major encounter, he always returns back to his desk job. Got his own apartment in the city, finds himself a nice Earth woman (or man; I don't mind), and otherwise becomes a model Capsule Corp employee, eventually climbing his way up to become Vice President of Astronautics.
Maybe I'll keep that one for myself, idk.

MASAKO I'm the saiba guy once again, and I humbly request what if Saibaking was canon. He's a fusion from the fusions 3DS game but can still fuse implying the existence of a royal namekian-type fusion for the saibamen. You can add on the saibalore and even give them a home planet, there's so many saibamen on the wiki. Over all it is my GOAL to see Saibaking show up on Namek with his army of saibamen to leave Freeza in yamcha's pose.
So THAT's the Aprils Fool's what if. Kinda excited for this actually

I like this path for Cui a lot more. Maybe even let him get in with the group and increase his power along side the sayans. I've always loved dragon ball redemption arcs. They are a wonderful story of hope for those whom feel they are hopeless. There will always be a way forward. There will always be a way to be a better version of ourselves. those steps aren't always easy to take. Though it is taking those steps that defines us. not arbitrary discrepancies like skin pigmentation. Before we take up the banner of bettering anything or anyone else, we must first find the best version of ourselves. We must wear that as the badge of honor that it is and lead those whom have wandered astray, not by force, but by shining as a beacon so they can find their way back on their path.

Not gonna lie, Other then the U6 Sayains swapped with the U7 Sayains, this is the What if I’ve been waiting for a long while. Qui teaming up with Vegeta was always a fun idea.

I actually absolutely love this What If! Cui was always a secret favorite of mine, due to only having a certain set of VHS's at the time to watch, so I felt that he was underutilized back then. Keep up the great work!

A Dende story would be pretty alright. the over reliance on Senzu beans can get thrown out the window by a god tier white mage. Healing, barriers, Ki absorption like the android 19,20. Buffing, depuffing, potential unlocking god tier white mage.

11:37-11:59 - This whole frantic mental shenanigunnery is a treat.
Something I like about these What-Ifs is that it's usually a game of 'give them the viking treatment', AKA give them a place to hang their swords and the heads of their enemies.
Worked on Vegeta, Turles, Raditz, Nappa and now it's gonna work on Cui.

This was a very much a good idea to watch. IF i may make a suggestion regarding Pui, yes, we know that everyone gets a better life more or less, but i want his turn around to be gradual. Even for him to not notice it until realizing it too late. As for a possible Job? Why not something unexpected, like Marine Biology professor (Later on of course.)

Cui was always one of my favs in the games lowkey
When comes to Cui and his race I wished we got more of them give Cui was on par with pre earth Vegeta meaning he wasn't that far below Zarbon and Dadoria in terms of power. And the other two members of Cui's race that we see in the anime the darker colored one took two volleys of blaster fire to be put down while the lighter colored one was a commander and a pretty fear one sense one took their eyes off of him while he spoke. So getting a video like this is a real treat.
