The glazes used on this bowl were from Mayco ! Sandstone first and then aurora green, Norse blue, blue surf, the dots were flux and dark flux ! Thanks everyone for the comments and thanks for watching!
I love how there’s lack of narration . Just hearing him opening and working with the clay makes me relax . I listen to it every night so it can help me get tired
Ro sansierra , well it probable looks like a first piece, do ten then it's pretty good. I was a slow starter. Took me six months to make a kiln load. Half were too chunky tho so they went into the bin. Didn't take me so long to make more. It is said that it takes 5,000 try's to make a perfect mug. It takes a lot of try's. But that's okay. Everything in life is like that. It's good to be good at something. Fly at her.
Always love your videos. Do miss your old studio and the energy. I guess it was cozy and everything seemed within reach. I just loved that, being able to see all that stuff in the background. It made the fresh from the kiln stuff look really awesome 😁
I watched this video and tried it, my bowl came out great, I love your videos, thank you for helping us potters! Been doing pottery for about 2 years and your videos are awesome!
It's a lot of work to do pottery. Two years to learn the wheel. But Jon was very fast. Taking lessons from him would be a good idea. In these times maybe harder. See if you can get set up. It's so great.
You should do some fun challenges when you have free time and film it, such as blind folded pottery, making the thinnest pots possible, etc. Love you and your videos the most!
I can't for the life of me figure out what people find soothing about all the sounds 🤷♀️ To me it's gross...like finger nails on a chalk board. I guess it's a sensory thing. I can't stand the sounds of people eating or drinking either lol. But that's ok, I just watch with the volume down because I love the pottery!!

Anybody else hear the narrator from Spongebob when it says "a few hours later"? 😂😂
Every time!! 🤣
😂😂😂
lmao yes I was saying it every time😂
OMG, yes.
Amazing!! I’m a senior in high school and I just bought my own kiln to accompany my wheel. Can’t wait to glaze things like that!
Jons channel always gets this comment. He's pretty awesome.
The lack of narration pleases me... I do enjoy the focus simply being on the act of creation
You inspired me today. Usually I limit myself to making two pound bowls. Today I did 4 four pound bowls and a five pound bowl.
This was beautiful to watch. Something about creating with your hands
Yesterday I did my first pice of pottery, greetings from Argentina🇦🇷
Ro sansierra WELL DONE!! From the UK 🇬🇧
How is it

People have no idea the work, knowledge, and planning that goes into working with clay. Awesome bowl! TFS!
Awesome bowl
Love watching this kind of video

Pottery is honestly so satisfying whether you are watching it or doing it.
Me encanta como te ha quedado tu taller!! El video te quedó como todos,. excelente .
I figured out how to center my clay from watching your videos! Thank you. You continue to inspire me. Keep doing what you do!
Loved that you showed the entire process - especially the glazing! New subscriber 🤗
I like when you explain the process. And when the family is around.
Love the white clay
Lindo!Perfeito!É um dom da arte maravilhosa que você tem!😍😍👏👏
Thank you for putting down the glazes that you used.. i’m struggling trying to find Rani glazes and learning about flux..
I enjoy so much your videos! Thank you for all the work you put into them
Simply beautiful 😍

OMG! Awesome job!!
Fascinating!!👍👍
Felicidades!!! Lo haces parecer taaan fácil de hacer... me encanta tu estilo!
Agree that the lack of narration is great-the world has entirely too much chatter. Love the space for focussed observation.
Imagine doing all that work and then accidentally drop it.
i would become a murderer and on my court trial i would blame it on pottery
That happened to me and a few of my friends before actually! 😂 It really does suck!
Can you tell us what glazes you used? Thanks!
John, please tell me where do you buy the clay? Or what kind of clay is this? Thank you
Thank you for not talking. Really amazing work. Subscribed!

It was such a joy to watch thank you.
Love it!
It's sooo beautiful
I feel like a turkey baster might help you get the inside of the bowl without fear of drips!
When I did pottery we used a baby nasal aspirator ..easy to apply!
What kind of clay did you use.
can i ask: wouldn't it be more easy to put your weight in throwing large pieces if you thrower was at hip-ish height?
My gosh he is like a human version of a futuristic 3D printer.
Was it wax that u dotted around the edge? I really love the effect! What recipe do u use for that blue towards the rim? What clay are u using?
Beautiful shape and colors 👍🏻
What is that at 6:50?
This is heaven.
Is it hard working on a pottery wheel?
Hey from where you are?
Hello. Did you buy your pottery stamp? I have tried a few but they have not worked.

Any chance you can help me with what I’m doing wrong with my glazing?
Beautiful!
How much time does it take to learn pottery?? Nd r there any workshops to teach from basics that u do conduct?
It's a lot of work to do pottery. Two years to learn the wheel. But Jon was very fast. Taking lessons from him would be a good idea. In these times maybe harder. See if you can get set up. It's so great.

Dark and Light Flux by Mayco. It helps the glazes to have that drippy effect.

Does anyone else here hate watching someone use that much water when throwing?
Pottery itself is sexy and we get a hot potter. 😂

So we just finna forget the fact that he centered in .3 seconds 😐
Why don’t you talk anymore in your videos?
No
