While I'm gratefull that people like yourself are willing and able to provide the rest of us with this kind of information, I really would like for Creaform to be more open. Their manuals aren't particularly good and the promo videos they do are lacking at the best of times.
Recently they released Vxintegrity, but they just released it and said "have a go". Well, I am gonna have a go, but I would very much like to understand better what I'm doing. You would think that it was in their best interest to get their costumers to have the best possible experience with their product.- instead i have to rely on faith. I am as busy as the next guy and i don't have the time to sit and fiddle around to learn these things. Are they pushing for people to take classes maybe?

Hey Whisky, as with many companies good on-line help or free training materials can be hard to come by. They talk a long time to create and when they are finished they quickly become outdated as new software versions are released. This is part of the reason we create the videos we do. We try to educate users on real world applications and how to use 3D scanning products and software.

@@EMS3D And i'm therefore very greatfull for the time and effort you put into your videos. When i teach the new guys, i list your videos as source material which. But such things ought to come from the manufacturer if I had a say in it. But thank you for making it a little easier and interesting for the rest of us.

@@whiskeythrottle9369 This is an important conversation to have with creaform. We're thinking of buying a new scanning system, and training/documentation is a factor in our decision. Thanks for sharing this!

@@treadless_co My pleasure. Things haven't changed since this post was made BTW. I have a good contact within Creaform and they have taken the critique to heart, but it doesn't seem as if they plan on changing. They had plans on doing "proper" training and certifications, which is another thing the field sorely lacks, but unfortunately that fell through.
Having said that, I am still to find a scanning solution that compares, and the software package is really powerful. I'm very happy with our choice, but would like some follow-up from Creaform to get the most out of the equipment.

Would be nice feature if they offered a “Solidworks” interface where you could select this option and all of the controls/mouse clicks would behave like Solidworks, or at least create an add in.

Hi Maloy Aircraft, that can be done. Go under Configure -> Options - 3D Navigation mode. From there you can select SolidWorks, Polyworks, Touch Screen or Geomagic. This will then set all your mouse controls to be just like SolidWorks. Hope that helps.
