African Tigress..you won my heart over. I have spent over 3 hours watching some of your videos..and because you landed in my home State and even want into the VILLAGE ( which is how many villages in Akwa Ibom & Cross River State and most South Southern States in Nigeria are...th village landscape changes in Nigeria basically asthenia region changes..), you have a LOYAL subscriber...
We told you you will love South South Nigeria/Niger Delta region..its a whole different vibe from Lagos. If you can, check out Calabar- that city is the bomb- it was Nigeria's first capital before it was moved to Lagos then later Abuja Asaba in Delta state is another great place. If you are lucky, you might run into a Nollywood production cos they shoot a lot of movies there. Next time come prepared to spend at least 6 months in Nigeria cos so much to see and explore. Wish you all the best
Calabar was the capital of the South (which developed from the Niger Coast Protectorate), while Lokoja (and later Zungeru) was the capital of the North. And when the colony of Lagos was united with Southern Nigeria, the capital was taken from Calabar to Lagos while the capital of the North was moved from Zungeru to Kaduna. There was NEVER a time Calabar as the capital of the whole of Nigeria. Calabar was the capital of the Niger Coast Protectorate from 1893 to 1900 when it merged with Lagos. But prior to Calabar administrative role was the Royal Niger Company (RNC) which was based in Asaba and dates from 1886 and unlike Calabar which was mainly concerned with the coastal areas of Southern Nigeria, the RNC controlled much of Northern Nigeria and much of the South (along the Niger) making Asaba a more appropriate candidate of "Nigeria first capital"

So does it mean that each state has a different tribe,so what language is spoken in akwa ibom? And benue state? Like in my country we have provinces and each province has its on language.
@@terrencekalonga696 Akwa Ibom State has 3 major languages. Namely: Ibibio, Anang, and Oro. Ibibio is the most widely spoken language there. I know a few in Benue. They are, Tiv, Idoma, and Jukun. Altogether, we have more than 300 languages. We are a large family with talented people.
African Tigress. You are doing great. You can now see that there is much to Nigeria than Lagos. You have not even covered up to 10% of Nigeria. Visit Calabar, Abuja, kaduna, Kano, Enugu
After watching this video, I now know some of the cities which give Nigeria a bad record. Lagos people, please, do not get upset. The truth sometimes hurts .You have to improve quite a lot and catch up. Why can you not copy what the people of Uyo have achieved? Here we see a beautiful city in Akwa Ibom State. Very wide streets, very clean roadsides, trees everywhere, well -spaced institutions, manicured lawns, and so on, and so on. The city planners knew what they were doing. Uyo shows a totally different aspect of Nigeria. Lagos and Ibadan cannot compete. See, Uyo even thought to build a magnificent library for the public. Though, I find them at fault to have a separate VIP section in a public education premise. All citizens should be equal at education facilities. I assume that this place was built with tax payers’ money, or am I wrong? Kudos to the state administration, I think the people of this state are well educated. Otherwise, who thinks of a library? Akwa Ibom state can do very well with tourism, if they tried to market the destination well. My question is, why have they not done so already? They could earn a lot of dollars from the tourism industry. That would in turn create more employment. Then, the young people of the land would not need to go to foreign continents to be subjected to discrimination and other injustices.
I appreciate your sincere analysis. Everything you said was on point. Some people don't know how to make the most of what they have. What you are seeing is a tip of the iceberg. There's a place called Eastern Obolo that could look like Maldives if developed. There are lots of tourist attractions there.

Good Morning African Tigress
Indeed Nigeria is Beautiful and I agree with the Nigerian RUclipsr that the City is clean
African Tigress thanks for sharing the African experience. What a free marketing and Advertising and PR. You deserve a national award 🏅🏅
Indeed you are a wife material beautiful sister. Nigeria is your home.
Akwa Ibom is really a fantastic place. Glad you enjoyed your trip.
We told you you will love South South Nigeria/Niger Delta region..its a whole different vibe from Lagos. If you can, check out Calabar- that city is the bomb- it was Nigeria's first capital before it was moved to Lagos then later Abuja
Asaba in Delta state is another great place. If you are lucky, you might run into a Nollywood production cos they shoot a lot of movies there.
Next time come prepared to spend at least 6 months in Nigeria cos so much to see and explore. Wish you all the best
So much of "south south", how come we don't have North North?
Visa won't allow
@@viokand We love our South South. If you don't like it we don't care. We are South South people.
@@viokand go and ask the people who created the geopolitical zones. we love our south south.
Thank you for showing my beautiful state to the world 🌎. Please don’t stop visiting Eket the oil Capital of Nigeria. Before leaving the state you must eat Ekpan nkukwo, Efere Afang, Edikang Ikong, Usung Bia and wash them all down with palm wine.Fresh one. Love ❤️ from 🇺🇸

When I wrote that Uyo is beautiful and clean, it is no joke. Am happy African Tigress has gone to Uyo to see the beauty and cleanliness with her eyes. Please, visit Calabar too before you leave that axis. Ghanaians can see that our cities are beautiful than Accra their capital.
They will come for you oooo

Lol
Giddem! Dem wan tranga abi? See small Ghana o! E nor get wetin Musa nor go see for gate.
There are other ones. They Ibo speaking Nigeria has 5 states. Namely: Anambra, Abia, Enugu, Ebonyi, and Imo State. Yoruba is spoken in the 7 South-western states. i.e Lagos, Oyo, Osun, Ogun, Ekiti, Ondo, and Kwara. Some of states that are not listed here has more than 8 languages.
You still need to visit calabar, Anambra, Delta and Abuja, Nigeria is not Lagos alone
Pay her transport fares
Is there anything fun to view in anambra
@@okaforgodswill2906 when you get there you will know
After watching this video, I now know some of the cities which give Nigeria a bad record.
Well said sir.. But you can also help to market this place , indigene or not . We at ulok ulok island we are a tourism and hospitality company that is still looking for investors.. they little we have you’ve been able to inject it into Akwa ibom tourism and will love you join our team
@@jerrywonder1831 eastern obolo and Ibeno are brothers and am from Ibeno and both houses a lot of island settlements.. but if you so much love that town then join up with us let build tourism settlements in this areas
You are on point here, Lagos sends a wrong message, and impression about Nigeria by it's dirty looks, lack of structure and organisation, lousy manner of people , much traffic and what have you. Always Ibom is a place to be
I understand where you are coming from but why is it Lagosians fault for the way outsiders think of them?? The fact that some of y'all think that Lagos represents Nigeria is quite weird tbh.
Multi cultural, multi lingual, multi ethnic. Wow! Our differences is a gift.
Thanks Tigress for another amazing episode, always amazing to see these different parts of Nigeria 👍
