Nova was my favorite of the Escape Velocity games as it left an impression that the others didn't. The Starbridge itself is an unmistakable ship design that puts it on par with the Millennium Falcon. There's a reason it's on the game's icon and key art.
Ah Escape Velocity. Loved the first one.. couldn't get into the second one.. but Nova was the best. It really was a sad day when Ambrosia folded.. kinda wish they managed another sequel.. but at least they went out with a bang.

I only really know this game, because one of the games I enjoy playing, "Endless Sky," is based off of it. It's somewhat surprising to see how similar they are.
I enjoyed this game like no other. And yes, the Starbridge is a mainstay, but nothing is like launching a dozen Mantas from your Raven and watching them swarm a foolish pirate.

There is a free spiritual successor game on Steam called Endless Sky. It's a different universe but it does feel very similar to EV:Nova
EV:Nova will always be one of my favorite games ever. So many great memories in a modified Starbridge

I never got as into Nova as I did the first two Escape Velocity games, but I still enjoyed it quite a bit. Awesome to see this review!

The Starbridge (particularly the pirate variant) is one of my top 10 favorite ships of all time.
Flying the Starbridge in the DS9 'Defiant' era certainly influenced how we saw the ship, it's gameplay, and it's niche.
I ❤ EV:Nova! And the Starbridge is perfect!
There are a few games that are trying to emulate EV:N, but so far no e have captured the same magic, imho.
Makes me want to have Elite Dangerous have a board and steal another's ship. I also loved the Starbridge but my fave was the green Starbridge.
