Both verses use the same word, “qana” to describe jealousy. Why is there no distinction between god’s jealousy and the jealousy that is said to be a sin?

Like if someone is worshiping god and some other god at the same time then I understand that is analogous to someone cheating on their spouse. But most religious people are not Christian’s and don’t worship Yahweh. They just worship some other deity. However not praying to one does not cause misfortune. Actions that lead to a better world are just as valuable and brings about good fortune for oneself and society. I still dont see where god can be jealous if god knows all and god is all. If god is jealous wouldnt that mean there is something happening outside the all, and that something is what god wants changed? How can something happen that god does not want to happen. If god knows all that is going to happen why would god create free will to do something that goes outside of what he wants. If there is something outside of gods controll, then god would have to lay his foot down so to speak. I think maybe you didn't understand. Jealously is a sin if unjust (envy). If you are married it is just to be jealous of your spouse being intimate with someone else. So if God created us in His image He is right to be jealous if we worship FALSE gods.
What you have failed to consider is that jealousy towards you is conducive towards your welfare. The father who is jealous or protective over his daughters keeps them from harms way. Just as God did with his people.

Which basically means that we would just have to trust in something that can not make sense. Which for me does not work. This is one more topic that seems to be contradictory to what makes sense and if it doesnt make sense it must mean that the thinking needs to be updated along with the awareness that is helping us mature our minds. Any thought process that does not keep up with awareness will not make it. I'm not saying that god isnt real. I'm saying that our interpretation of god needs desperately to be updated. The earth is not flat. Lighting isnt god striking you down. Women are not witches. The earth does not revolve around the sun. All people can be educated. I could go on and on about how we have had to update our thinking as our awareness grows. There are so many contradictions in the bible that we must dispell or it will disappear all together. The god of the old interpretation has to a new. Jesus warned us about this very thing.

I think maybe you didn't understand. Jealously is a sin if unjust (envy). If you are married it is just to be jealous of your spouse being intimate with someone else. So if God created us in His image He is right to be jealous if we worship FALSE gods.

The rules seem to be different when applied to god. He created everything therefore I guess we owe him everything. But the question is, which god actually created everything? Yaweh, Allah, someone else? I know that Yaweh & Allah both demand that everyone worship only them. It feels like multiple guys claiming to be your father and demanding that you do everything they say for the rest of your life. Also, all of them have a sacred text that is supposed to prove their custody and authority over you. So which dad is the real dad?
