We trusted you to saved us Jesus!.” But instead they listed they're “works” or rituals or keeping the law can not save a single one of us because, “No one will be declared righteous in his sight by observing the law: rather, through the law we become conscious of sins”. Well it is a act of selfishness. How can you ask for for forgiveness? God also said that he would not give you more than you can handle But these are my thoughts.
Before I give my opinion on this I just want to say one thing: if you or someone you know is considering suicide please get help. Find a Christian counselor, local pastor, or even a believer you know who is strong in their walk and let them know how you're feeling. Despair is a liar and often makes us feel isolated and alone when we're really not. Look at Elijah. After he fled from Jezebel he was suicidal. He said he wished he was no longer alive because he considered himself a failure because Israel didn't turn their hearts back to God. He also told God that he was the only one left serving Him. He felt isolated and alone. However, God reminded him that he was not alone. There was still a remnant in Israel who was still serving Him and they would help him. As believers we're called to bear one another's burdens. We may feel alone at times but we have brothers and sisters out there to help us in our time of need. Not only that but God Himself is always with us so we are never truly alone. That being said the bible does not give a clear cut answer on this subject. I've seen arguements for and against but nothing to prove either definitively. However, in incidents where there is no clear cut answer I feel it is better to err on the side of caution. In the situation we're talking about an eternity separated from God in torment. I don't know about you but I would not want to take a chance on something like that. God is love and rich in mercy, but the bible also reminds not to put the Lord to the test. I would not test the limits of God's love by destroying His own image.

Well it is a act of selfishness. How can you ask for for forgiveness?

Before I give my opinion on this I just want to say one thing: if you or someone you know is considering suicide please get help. Find a Christian counselor, local pastor, or even a believer you know who is strong in their walk and let them know how you're feeling. Despair is a liar and often makes us feel isolated and alone when we're really not. Look at Elijah. After he fled from Jezebel he was suicidal. He said he wished he was no longer alive because he considered himself a failure because Israel didn't turn their hearts back to God. He also told God that he was the only one left serving Him. He felt isolated and alone. However, God reminded him that he was not alone. There was still a remnant in Israel who was still serving Him and they would help him. As believers we're called to bear one another's burdens. We may feel alone at times but we have brothers and sisters out there to help us in our time of need. Not only that but God Himself is always with us so we are never truly alone.
That being said the bible does not give a clear cut answer on this subject. I've seen arguements for and against but nothing to prove either definitively. However, in incidents where there is no clear cut answer I feel it is better to err on the side of caution. In the situation we're talking about an eternity separated from God in torment. I don't know about you but I would not want to take a chance on something like that. God is love and rich in mercy, but the bible also reminds not to put the Lord to the test. I would not test the limits of God's love by destroying His own image.

They didn't trust to the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross, instead they listed the “works they did”. When the Lord Jesus Christ said “It is finished” he meant it. He sacrifice his life to pay for our sins so that we would have forgiveness of all our sins past, present, and future, and we will also have Eternal Life, if you believe and accept him.
God's word says, that we are saved by grace through faith in Christ Jesus and not by our own effort or works (Ephesians 2:8-9) God given us the faith that trusts him. We are not saved by obeying a list of do's and don'ts, but by grace through faith in Christ. Our salvation is in God's hands.
But we also need works because it shows that we have a genuine faith

Many will list the works they did. They prophesied, drove out demons and perform many miracles in the “name” of Jesus. Please note it does not say that they said, “Lord, we repented of our sins and believe in your work on the cross to redeemed us! We trusted you to saved us Jesus!.” But instead they listed they're “works” or rituals or keeping the law can not save a single one of us because, “No one will be declared righteous in his sight by observing the law: rather, through the law we become conscious of sins”. Romans 3:20
And in Galatians 2:21 “I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!”.
